“This is a small eating place not far from the DonWes flea market on the opposite side of Business 83. Food is very good, and they have some great specials! We especially like the fried shrimp and Basa fish plates! The soup is excellent, too! Everyone we have taken there likes it!“

“I ordered the fried fish and boy was it good. It didn't taste like it came from a frozen for-days box... it tasted like they had just fished it out from the ocean. “Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. It's been a while since I've dined in but I see some familiar faces and they've always had great service. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!“

“I've always thought LJS is a good deal. The food was good, the service was expected and the old school feel of this location gives it a 4 star. The ice machine was not working nor was there any tea available. Not big things since I was in no hurry. The outside the building needs to be cleaned up and refurbished, a fresh/clean look. Don't change the building style though.

Dietary restrictions: Many forget the LJS added to their menu awhile back. There are some Lite items if you are trying to watch your calories.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely for kids as it is a great way to try fish or other seafood. Also they still give out their pirate hats!“

We wanted to try a bit of everything on the menu and the pictured plate was just what we wanted. Easily could’ve fed 3 with that one alone. “Food was very very good! I ordered Tuesdays special and was pleasantly surprised! Two crispy tacos,two enchiladas ( cheese ) I ordered the beef enchiladas and it was only $1.00 extra. Rice and beans were also on the plate. It even came with a tea! Wow, I barely paid &13.46! ? I met the owners they are so awesome! Really down to earth people! I will be back!

Parking: Pleasantly located in a spacious well taken care of lot with plenty of lighting . Easy parking and accessible. Restaurant is near just about everything necessary for you to do shopping down the street or even stop by the bank or go to the gym. The best part about it is the food!“
