“It had been easily 2-3 decades since the last time I was here, and this visit was not what I expected. Maybe things are the same, but my memory was of a 5-star establishment, and not the 3.5 star I experienced.

The order I placed was different than what they prepared. The taste was not bad, but it was not great either. Maybe in these three decades my taste for burgers has changed.

I thought that the burger was too small for the price. I felt that the price included, figuratively speaking, an extra for the memories.

And at the very end, when I was going to pay for my $10 tab, I was told they were going to add $2 for the credit card transaction (20% of the bill). I see a growing trend to charge 3% of the bill for a credit card transaction, but 20% is excessive.“

“Stopped by this morning on our way to the airport to hopefully sneak a quick look at the long horns. Upon arrival we could see them off in the distance. Within a few seconds a very nice man came out to see if we needed anything, after I explained our situation he went above and beyond to get the animals to come closer by feeding them early. He spent a good 15 minutes with us fully knowing that on this trip we did not have time to patronize his business. Customer service at its best, we will be back and we will dine there! At times, the staff can appear overwhelmed due to the high volume of customers, and I have occasionally encountered service that felt less attentive. However, I understand that this may be due to heavy workloads or the training of new employees during busy periods.
Despite this, the quality of the food keeps me coming back. I highly recommend the Guadalajara Plate—it is exceptional. Overall, I truly enjoy dining here and would visit every day if I could.“

“My family and I stopped here while visiting family. There was available seating immediately. We have a toddler and she can be a little extra. The staff didn't seem to mind and was very accommodating. The food was amazing! Worth every cent. All three of my kids ate what they ordered while my wife and I devoured our order. “these are my top favorite tacos in brownsville Texas. I’m a very picky eater and these tacos never fail to satisfy my appetite. Whole staff are sweethearts and always welcoming. Tacos are the perfect size and beans are very good. Can definitely say they are NOT stingy to putting cheese and meat with filling their tacos 10/10“

“If you ever had Bigos, this is a great place to grab and go. It's small inside so not the best for dining in, but totally doable.
The quality of the carne asada cannot be overstated. Even after driving back to the hotel and finding a place to sit and eat (15 min) the food was hot and so tender. Seriously, this is not like many fajita places where you are chewing this like a jerky adjacent product. It's soft flavorful and easy to chew.
Sides were tasty but the meat really steals the show.“
