The smoky chicken hits you the moment you walk in, and it sets the tone just right.\n\nI tried the Brisket Plate with mac & cheese and barbecue beans as sides. The brisket was tender, juicy, and had a great smoke ring—definitely the highlight. The mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, and the beans had a rich, hearty flavor. Their barbecue sauce adds just the right kick, especially the spicy one.“

“I visited this restaurant twice with family during my recent visit to Dallas. Ambiance was great and staff very welcoming and attentive. Appeared as if we were being treated as personal guests. Standard of food and hygiene was beyond any doubt remarkable. What really impressed me was that washrooms were sparkling clean with all amenities. “Had always been a little bit suspicious about this place thinking it was just trying to capture travelers coming into Dallas. Boy was I wrong! This place is legit. “Great hole in the wall Mexican bbq place. I had some Al pastor tacos and brisket sandwich. The tacos had onions and cilantro and I got the green medium hot salsa (which was a good medium spice level). The brisket sandwich was good sized and came with pickles and onions and warmed bbq sauce.“

This hotel should be ashamed of itself for leaving it's employees to fend for themselves during the busiest times of day. Where's the manager or other staff to help.“

“I work here so I am a little biased. I am the Operations Manager at the catering office. We handle orders over 50 people or smaller orders where full service, or a non-bbq menu is ordered. I had a two meat plate because I missed breakfast and was starving. I also had fried okra and loaded mashed potatoes as my sides & their $2 canned beer special.

This Dickeys is located on the corner of Central (75) and Henderson/Knox.

So the next time any of y'all are stuck in traffic I'd highly recommend eating here until traffic clears.

“One of my favorite places to eat outside. They have a huge outdoor area covered under the shade of trees and lights. The food is always delicious and hot. I always get the loaded cheese fries to start, and the charro beans as a side. The wait staff is very attentive. It is also dog friendly. The atmosphere is family friendly and my husband enjoys watching sports on the outdoor tvs.“

However, I did try the seafood boil once, and unfortunately, the ingredients did not seem fresh. It’s possible this item isn’t ordered frequently and may not be rotated as often as others.

Service could be more attentive. For example, I typically have to request water refills and ask for the check. That said, it may be reflective of the general service style in this area, which resembles a Chinatown-style dining environment.

I visit this restaurant three to four times a month, and my favorite part is their dessert they are consistently excellent.“
