“My wife and I visited on a Thurs evening for dinner. It was our first time and service was very friendly! We ordered spicy tonkatsu ramen (MUST try!), black tonkatsu ramen, chicken karaage & chicken gyoza. My wife ordered the milk tea which wasn't too sweet, but very good! All the food came out quickly. A medium sized space with 15+ large tables. Will definitely be back!“

“This is our favorite sushi place for years. Rice was perfect, sushi rolls were bite size, not mushy or super sticky. Unlike many new trendy sushi places where the rolls are giant with not so good rice. This place is authentic judging by the green tea, wasabi, and rice quantities. The tempura was light and crunchy, a must order. Lunch special was very reasonable. The only flaw was that the chicken teriyaki was a bit on the dry side,“

“Disclaimer -I'm not typically a sushi fan. (The wife is a super sushi lover).Date night with the wife. We had miso soup for appetizers. Wife had the Miss Fortune Roll, she really enjoyed it. The rolls are sometimes too big to fit in her mouth. These were not. I had the Deep Veggie Roll and the Rangers Roll. I also had a side of plain sushi rice (one of my favorites). The deep fried veggie roll was great. Many many choices of rolls to choose from. Only negatives were the initial wait to be served and orders taken (20 min) and very few non sushi choices (non really negative considering it is a sushi place. Go somewhere else if you want something other than sushi!) Staff was very attentive once our order was finally taken. Will go again to try more in the future.“

“Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday and the food and service did not disappoint. We ordered tempura udon, a spicy pork bento box, a roll over roll, and a tempura roll. The portions were huge and the food tasted great! Definitely worth the price (especially lunch specials). Our server even stopped by and gave us two items on the house. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good Japanese food in Plano.“

“First time to visit the place. We started with Bluefin calamari. I had Ahi Tower, my son got the Bulgogi bowl and husband was excalibur. Very nice presentation. Everything good. Service was really fast and the place and atmosphere was pleasant. Friendly people too. Definitely my new favorite restaurant coz I love Japanese food. Price is reasonable too. Highly recommend. You’ll be impressed.“

“Came on Friday around 6pm, wasn't busy yet, we got seated right away. Menu is pretty extensive with lots to choose from. For appetizers, we ordered the bao buns. Each bun is super soft with a thick slice of pork belly marinated in bulgogi sauce. My husband ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice, he loved it. It's served in a pineapple with fresh chunks of pineapple mixed into the dish. I ordered the ramen with shrimp, broth isn't salty like most ramen places, it balances nicely with the other ingredients in the ramen. The shrimp are lightly coated with tempura (I think?) and they inlcude plenty of pieces in the ramen. We also got the New York Rolls, very delish & generously filled with seafood. My one complaint was the disinterested answer that Sandy gave when my husband asked which would she recommend- Thai pineapple fried rice or Japanese fried rice- she snapped a bit and answered a very curt " I don't know what you like! If you like pineapple get the Thai if you don't like pineapple, get the other one!" It didn't really answer the question of which one she recommends or thinks is better...if she had not tried either dish & can't give a good recommendation, she could've answered that way. The snippy response with mild attitude seemed uncalled for...overall, great food, fast service, would come back again...don't ask recommendations from Sandy...“

“Decent, small Japanese bistro. Service is attentive and the food is always exactly what I expect. Nice collection of eclectic wall art, always interesting to look at. Limited seating so be aware they might be full during busier times. I'm not a sushi guy, so unable to make those recommendations.“

“I ordered the 3 Classic Roll take out special which had a pretty extensive selection and a great deal for $16.95! The items I tried were the Shrimp Tempura roll, Green World roll, Spicy California roll, Louisiana roll and Karaage. Everything was fresh, rice was perfect temperature and yummy! Karaage was crispy and satisfying. I will totally come again and the service was quick and nice.“

“This hidden gem in the southern east most part of Plano is the absolute spot for sushi/sashimi. Very simplistic menu, mom and pop, not too expensive. Sure you can find the menu option for you and your family/friends. Want to try everything on menu truly. Staff is awesome. Will be back.“

“The guys there are the most amazing ones. They might be busy, and I mean BUSY, yet they smile, crack a joke and make you feel welcome and appreciated. Best Ahi Tower, best edamame, always fresh and they also accommodate. I order towers for the family and one is always with the spicy on the side, they never ever ask or hesitate to change. Little hidden gem. I love this place and loved it for many years now.“

The sushi was fresh and delicious and the fried rice was mouth watering and even the Yum Yum sauce was on point. I will be back frequently.“

“Its a cute restaurant with nice ambiance. The food was good overall. They don't put wasabi and ginger on each plate and kept on having to request for more ginger. The plating is great. I enjoyed the sweet shrimp, salmon sashimi and dancing fire roll.“

Great place to take the whole family for a fairly priced, decent meal with options for everyone that will fill you up.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“

“During a business trip to Texas, I visited this Japanese restaurant recommended by a local client. I was quite surprised by the lively atmosphere of the place. At the sushi counter, a Japanese chef crafted the sushi authentically, which was impressive. They offer a reasonably priced nigiri set, but ordering à la carte can be just as enjoyable. Besides sushi, the menu includes a variety of Japanese snacks like karaage (fried chicken). While the service felt a bit rushed at times, as the waiters were quick to clear plates, they were still courteous and attentive. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.“

“SO. DELICIOUS. I ordered their chicken katsu bento box, and every single item is so fresh. The chicken is super juicy, the sushi, salad, and fried tempura were on point. I also really appreciate how they took the time to package everything so neatly. For example, I ordered a sprite, and they put the bottle of sprite and a cup of ice in a separate bag. Definitely ordering from Kansha again!“

“The owner owns the restaurant for more than 30 years. Both chefs have worked with her for years. One chef is 71 years old and the other is 81 years old. The food taste like home! We really enjoy the food, and have been visiting since 2007. The sauce of spicy dumplings is home made by the owner! You can only taste it here! The must order is three cups intensities and Taiwanese popcorn chicken! Of course, Taiwanese pork stews rice.“

“Great food and really great prices for lunch. Great lunch specials. My partner and I each got the “2 roll showdown special”…..$10.95 each. Shown here is Spicy Tuna (it was good but the tuna was minced and not in pieces), Salmon Avocado (this was delicious and yes there were Salmon pieces), Spicy Crunchy Eel (sooo good with great eel sauce), Shrimp Tempura (very good). This special comes with edamame, miso soup and gyoza. These were all very good. Service is spotty but great most of the time.“

“I really like this place so 4 stars is based on previous visits. Today I ordered fried Gyoza and what I received was steamed Gyoza that was seared on one side. Hmm not quite fried. Let's just say I really wanted some deep fried Gyoza today after having some in Florida over the weekend and this wasn't it. Buyer beware, lol.“

“Sushi lunch for one. I had miso, crab roll and plain sushi rice. I enjoyed it very much. Food came quickly, the service was very personable, polite and helpful. I plan on taking the wife here for date night soon. She is the greater sushi connoisseur than I. Not fancy but clean with friendly staff. I was able to be seated right away.“

“We went in expecting a fast casual dining experience but ended up with more of a fast food experience. The sushi tasted good, but I had to run my credit card for each individual transaction. For instance, we arrived and purchased drinks (bottle drinks only), 1 transaction. We then decided to get edomame, another transaction. We ordered our sushi, another transaction. My daughter wanted another bottle of soda, another transaction, etc. Etc. The staff was friendly and the food was good, but it just wasn't what we expected.“

“Great selection of items for all needs. I am happy we found this place. They have a number of prepared foods to choose from as well as a handful of restaurants that serve hot food made to order. This location has the one card gaming center as well as a gift shop section. I will come back to try more options next time.“

“We ordered delivery (UberEats) the shrimp tempura bento with spring rolls and added mushroom. The only issue we had was how soggy/oily the shrimp tempura. The rest of the order was pretty decent. The stir fried veggies with the added mushroom and the spring rolls were pretty good. We'll likely order again but will stay away from the shrimp tempura.“

“Great place if you want quick, fresh and reasonably priced hibachi and sushi. Been going here for a few months and it has never disappointed. I usually get the sushi which is fresh and family gets the hibachi options. The steak is always perfectly cooked and the veggies are perfect. If you want takeout hibachi or sushi, it's a perfect stop. They even have a drive thru!“

“The price of the sushi here was on the cheaper side compared to other sushi restaurants. The quality of the sushi though... I personally think it can get better. Even the presentation of the sushi was quiet lacking. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was pretty satisfactory. Since the location is in the heart of downtown Plano, I think it's a good spot for a nice dinner.“

“Matsui has my favorite classic pork katsu with curry in the DFW area. They are remarkably consistent with their food quality, taste, and portions. Always freshly fried to a beautiful crispy golden brown. Always an adequate amount of meat. Lots of rice, hot and tasty noodles. The list goes on.Please give Matsui a try if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed. As a bonus, their weekday lunch specials are a great value, with a 1/2 serving of the entree and an included bowl of hot/cold udon/soba with rice for the price of a full size entree only. I've gone for lunch about five times at this point and have always left full and satisfied.Outside of standard mealtimes, seating is easy to get, especially around weekday lunchtime. During mealtimes the food court can get pretty busy, so seating may be a challenge.P.S they do have a small additional charge for takeout orders to cover the cost of to-go boxes and utensils. Not a dealbreaker but can be annoying if you aren't anticipating it.Parking: Plenty available during lunch during the week. Closer you get to dinner or on weekends the less parking there is. Weekends can be particularly difficult to find spots.“

“Dinner takeout was superb tonight. Lion King, Shrimp crunch, and Spicy T rolls all came home still crunchy and decent temp. The portions were fair. Didn’t feel like wallet got reamed. There was a slight hint of smokiness that added greatly to the flavor. They were quick too, about ten minutes for three rolls.Kid-friendliness: Staff spoke with my three year old, who kept asking for fresh lemonade. Friendly place. Highly recommend.“

“This was my first time here. I brought my son because he wanted sushi. They also had hibachi so we tryed the hibachi table where the chef cooks at ur table it was a fun experience. the food was really good they have several meat options I got steak and chicken it comes with veggies and noodles as well as rice (fried-or steamed) a small soup and salad as well not too bad on the price either! it does take a while to get all ur food tho because they cook each group of food at once like the rice1st then the meats then veggies then noodles. They also have just a dining area as well where u can just order the food like a normal restaurant. there is also a bar for drinks. Overall I chose five stars I’m very picky about my food and I couldn’t believe how good everything tasted together!“

“The black Thai menu is the way to go, don't bother with the regular menu in my opinion. There are three dishes that I will always get here, which are the bbq & crispy pork over rice, soy sauce noodles, and fried pork intestines. The fried pork intestines are a 10 out 10 in my book. I can never go wrong with these dishes no matter how many times I've ordered them. The quality, portions, and price are definitely a bang for your buck. They are also open til 3am everyday, what more can you ask for? This is definitely one of my favorite places to go to.“

“Came here with my coworker for lunch and despite sitting down for the hibachi experience it was fairly quick which is good for a business lunch! The customer service from the waitress was spot on and efficient.I ordered the hibachi scallops and chicken which came with miso soup, house salad (ginger dressing), and fried rice (an upcharge). The meal was delicious and cooked nicely. The Chef made the meal fun although it was only 4 of us. I also ordered the spicy tuna rolls and enjoyed them.If in the area, I would definitely return to try out the other hibachi meats and sushi!“
