“Our local veterans council put on a Mexican Christmas Dinner for veterans, first responders, an their families in December. I volunteered to bring the pastries. A friend at work recommended I visit Los Gallos Bakery and that turned out to be great advice! The good people at Los Gallos were happy to help me select a nice variety of Mexican holiday pastries and treats. The price for the number of items I picked out was more than fair - and the baked goods were the hit of the dinner! I highly recommend Los Gallos Bakery as THE place to go for fresh, delicious baked goods!“

“I can't describe how good the service and food is. My fiance and I just left her chemotherapy sesion, and were pretty beat down, and hungry. Cindy looked after my fiance and I with prompt, kind, and courteous service. She is truely awesome. The food was lip smack'n good with portions we haven't seen in a very long time. We had the beef (3) enchiladas meals, with tortilla sides as well as tea, and sprite to drink. We left feeling quite porkulous with smiles on our faces for sure. Our visit made for a very bright point for us for such a crappy day. As far as ratings go, Hidalgo's West is a 6 out of 5. We'll be back for sure, bet on it. And Cindy? Your aces dear!“

“Today we had a family and friends dinner after a funeral for a family member. Simon and his staff went above and beyond to make our party of 30 feel welcome! Food was tasty and hot; service was polite and courteous; and the plates were hot and served promptly! I can’t say enough for Simon’s willingness to serve! Our community should be grateful we have Nacho’s and Simon Rincon amongst us! Thank you !!“

“On Thursday August 3rd my 92 year old grandma lost her cane at the restaurant. We were hung up on when we called. Owner was listened to my concerns on how we were treated. But, the male tall waiter, kind of bald, was rude. Even after a very good tip. Shame on you, sir, for such poor manners. If you have my grandma's cane please return.“

“The best spicy asado by far! The burritos are a bit pricey but with how much they stuff one you’ll definitely get full! The other competitors burritos are so small and tortillas have a weird texture to them almost like rubbery so these guys are the way to go!“

“We were referred to Hidalgo's by the staff at Best Western North Bryant. The restaurant is within walking distance from the hotel - very convenient after a long day on the road. Our server, Pricila, was very nice and spent time going through the menu with us. The Shrimp Fajita's for two jumped out at us as being plenty of food to take on the road with us the next day. It turned out to be just that!!! Lots of shrimp, lots of cooked vegetables, and lots of tortillas. Pricila came by our table several times to make sure everything met our satisfaction. It actually exceeded our satisfaction!!! The next day when we stoped in Las Vegas, New Mexico, we had our dinner ready for the microwave in our hotel room - no need to go out for dinner. Hidalgo's really put out some food!! Pricila was kind enough to see us on our way as we departed. What a great evening, what a great meal - Shrimp Fajita's For Two, and what great service by Pricila!!! Give Hidalgo's a try and get one of Pricila's tables - she is the best and we will be back!!!“

“I've been going to this breakfast burrito place for at least 5 years now off and on. I'll try another place other than this one every once in a while and always come back to this very place . There is no other one that is even on the same level or could even stand a chance against it because on the 5 star rating they are above and beyond the other competitors on authenticity, the consistent friendly and welcoming staff, her coffee is the best in town by far than the other breakfast burrito places. Just the food alone is amazing, but they are my go to for breakfast burritos, tamales, and just a great cup of coffee as well. Would recommend you at least try one time and it will speak for itself I already know. “I have traveled to San Angelo several times now for work and had the opportunity to try The Grill this evening with my youngest son. We are from the Dallas area and have had some amazing meals but our meal tonight was by far the best we have ever had. We both had the filet offered on Fridays. We both had some spaghetti squash that was so amazing I was asking how to make it at home. Every single thing we ordered was cooked better than perfection. We were blown away by everything down to the amazing desserts made from scratch there. I was already looking at my schedule to see when the next time I could come back and enjoy it all again. I would highly recommend this restaurant if passing through or visiting San Angelo. I know I will be dreaming of the food tonight. Our waiter Brad was kind enough to answer my many questions about the owner as well as information about other restaurants he owns in Dallas I haven’t tried yet. You will not be disappointed in the food at The Grill in San Angelo. I’m off to my food coma now.“
