“We were pleasantly surprised. We had the fish tacos with their homemade batter and sauce, their shrimp rice, and a shrimp cocktail with a cold Michelada. The food was great tasting and definitely worth having again. Their are many other items on the menu that we intend to taste on our next visit.“

“Easily the best seafood I've had outside of South Padre Island. The grilled fish was a thick fillet, and teh shrimp were very large and meaty, both were very well seasoned. The sides were very good too. Fries were not too oily as I often see at other restaurants.Service was also very friendly and fast. It was a littl hard finding parking in the very small lot that was there. If it wasn't far away from me, I would probably go here once a week or even more.“

“Service was quick and employees friendly. We ordered the botana for 4, and it was huge! The chicken and fajitas were tender and everything tasted great. Salsas (nice variety)were just the right level of spicy. Excellent food at a great price.“

My wife and I have been here several times, and Morgan remembered our orders from previous visits and ways makes us fell like we are special customers. “One of our favorite locally owned restaurants. The best taco salad in the RGV. My husband drools at the thought of going just because he loves her Chile reillno so much. Their breakfast tacos are tasty especially because of the fresh tortillas. Everything is so authentic. Great vibe in the restaurant. Just good hard-working folks enjoying a nice meal. Makes you feel like when you were a kid in someone specials kitchen. Always get service with a smile. Whether it’s one of the girls or the young man. Everyone is so friendly and kind.“

“We’ve been coming to Monterrey Cafe for many years now. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from But… we ultimately end up back here. We love the food! Not only does it taste good but the serving size is perfect. The staff always greets us with a smile even if extremely busy. “Took a chance and tried this place since under new management and it’s great. The food has a great taste and the water isn’t from the faucet so their aguas frescas are delicious. I had the lemonade. Food is tasty and not super greasy at all. Staff is very friendly. Will definitely come again.“

“We've never had a bad experience with any Muelle 37 restaurant. Food is excellent. Can't go wrong with the tostadas de ceviche, sopa de mariscos, or the chicharron de pescado. Great service all the time and free food and dessert if it's your birthday that same day. This location is perhaps the most spacious one in the valley.“
