“In order to get in, you need to download the app and make a reservation. You then will get a gate code. You have to search for the entrance although not too hard to find. Hand crafted drinks with a solid app menu. Atmosphere is a real speakeasy vibe and dark. Good date place. Would definitely go again.“

The seasonal cocktails overdelivered and I’m very impressed with the complex flavors that somehow stay rounded. I’m drinking something that tastes like vanilla cake frosting and I love it??? My previous drink had cacao, sarsaparilla, whiskey. The bartender is obviously talented and gives good energy.

Also +1000 for the fun Halloween decor I love it ? ??‍♀️ ? I did have a hot dog and nothing special - it gave what it needed to give“

“I’m a fan of high quality craft cocktails, so I had been wanting to try Roosevelt Room for awhile.

I walked in with my friend to try it out (no reservation) the wait was less than 10 minutes to be seated.

Their menu is situated similar to other cocktail bars I’ve been to (not in Austin). The menu has the drinks listed in the different time periods of alcohol they’re from.

I ordered the clover club, which was made very well. The taste was up to par, definitely recommend giving it a try.

The milk pinch wasn’t really what I was expecting, it was very floral (as you can probably see by the picture). I wasn’t a big fan of this drink myself since that’s not the kind of taste I like, but it was built as a great cocktail-just not for me.

Our server provided great service and had good knowledge of the menu and cocktails in general.

It’s a very dark lighting space, looks good for an intimate date night.
One thing I learned that I didn’t know is that they also serve food.

The cocktails are ~$20 each, they do also offer an elevated version of each cocktail which uses more expensive liquors. Those cocktails are mostly $75 and up.

Parking: It’s in the heart of downtown so finding parking is difficult. It will either be paid street parking or a paid garage“

“Maybe 2-3 times in here a week - no kidding! During the day the coffee is great, wifi is strong, and the vibe makes it a great co-working space - lunch options are great, literally the club sandwich is delicious!! Great service, drinks - overall one of my favorite spots in Austin!“

“I went with two friends for High Tea at Goldie’s and we had a wonderful time! It is pretty pricey (~$100 per person for tea without the alcohol add-on after service charge and gratuity) but it’s great for special occasions. The food was delicious and they had a great selection of tea. We tried 5 different pots of tea and they asked us if we wanted refills on the food, which we declined because it was surprisingly filling. Not sure if there would have been an extra charge for refills on food but the tea seemed to be unlimited.
The atmosphere is great! It’s a small cozy, fairly quiet room right off the busy lobby and on the corner of the busy downtown streets so it feels like a retreat from the hustle and bustle.“

“Had Brunch.

Pros: Food quality is amazing. Brunch menu is FANTASTIC. Service top notch, and the place is absolutely lovely.

The Viet Carpaccio is perfect. Maybe a squeeze of lime would be a nice addition but great nonetheless.

Viet Coffee is best I have had. So strong, so sweet, so good.

Considerations (matter of preference)

Pho broth and Loco Moco gravy are very star anise forward. If you like that great. If not, warned.

Loco Moco gravy was prolly cornstarch thickened, was texturally not awesome.

Julienned veggies on banh mi and in vermicelli bowl are so lightly pickled (or not at all) there is zero acid to cut through the richness and add brightness.

Banh Mi is on a bolillo roll, albeit one of the best I have tasted in a long time, not a baguette. Was texturally great though. Zero pickle on the veg, so ends up a bit one note.

Zero mention of allergens on menu (GF, etc)

Summary: Place is great, food quality is fantastic, menu options wonderful, but holds back on acid, salt and bolder flavors. Would return but would ask for lime or rice vinegar to squeeze over basically everything.“
