“Here Nor There offers a super cool and intentional experience. There's no signage out front, and you need to book ahead and receive a passcode to get into the alley where the entrance is. You're greeted at the door with a glass of prosecco, and shown to your seat. At the times I've gone, the menu was Texas themed, with drinks created to represent different places in Texas, along with accompanying illustrations. The cocktails were all presented beautifully, and some cocktails even have an interactive element served with them. The food is largely bar snacks - a bar mix, flatbread with dip, charcuterie, etc etc but it was all very good. I highly recommend the trio of tartlettes to end your night out on a sweet note. On top of all this, the staff on both of my visits have been wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This is definitely high on my list of places in Austin for a date night out.“

The seasonal cocktails overdelivered and I’m very impressed with the complex flavors that somehow stay rounded. I’m drinking something that tastes like vanilla cake frosting and I love it??? My previous drink had cacao, sarsaparilla, whiskey. The bartender is obviously talented and gives good energy.

“Service was absolutely horrendous. Our server left for the night (as another server that we waved down ended up telling us) and left us waiting for any type of service for about 20 minutes. Staff is rude and acts like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. Drinks are great, but the place needs a complete staff and culture overhaul.“

“Fun little speakeasy, enter through a bookshelf of the hostel. Cocktails are good but nothing classy, a good selection of basics but feels more like a dive bar that gets busy late night (got there around 5 pm on a Saturday and the was no live music and still felt a bit slow).“

One time I was craving the pho I called ahead they had the pho out as soon a I sat down were happy to accommodate my busy schedule. This place is a neighborhood 10/10“

“I rarely leave Google Reviews, but I really wanted to come and say how much fun me and my friends had last night at Highball. It was my second time going, but first time booking it myself, and the staff was so nice with the booking process, and so nice once we got there. They were singing along with us and really kind, and helpful with the room explanation. The food was also really good, unexpectedly so. Most of us got wings and fries so nothing crazy, but we had full bar access, and a full food menu so that was great, and not having to leave the room to order was great. Only minor thing was that the bathrooms were downstairs, but we figured it out, so truly not too much of a deterrent. I would definitely book if you are looking for a private karaoke room. We had 15/16+ come and fit all of us in their Inferno room. It was $50 an hour, but they offered to split it amongst the guests as well, which comes out to barely $3 a person, plus their own food and drink (we all got individual checks without asking so no bill splitting needed). Great experience for fans of group karaoke!“
