“Went here for lunch and the flavor is AMAZING! My favorite dishes were the pork belly with quail eggs, scallion pancake, and pan fried soup dumplings. What’s cool is that they place your order in a queue as you’re waiting to be seated (we went during a busy time), and by the time we were seated, we already had 2 dishes on the table, hot and ready. Very efficient service. I would definitely come back again and recommend this restaurant!“

“My daughter and I are regulars since the opening here and am way overdue for leaving a review. As noodle lovers, we have tried many of the places around town but no one can beat this place for consistency, flavor and value. Even their presentation of the dishes is always so nice! The place is so beautifully decorated, dramatic with their metallic rippled walls but not overwhelming. No. 1 Noodles would make a great date night choice, too.

Our go-to dishes that we crave are the dan dan noodles, scallion oil noodles, Yangzhou fried rice, spicy cucumbers, matcha ice cream and coconut milk. Every one of my foodie friends have loved this place too and have complimented their meat-based dishes. The staff is always friendly and attentive, too.

“Stopped by this Pei Wei as my Mom loves Chinese and she was in town. She ordered her sesame chicken, I had the coconut curry chicken and egg roll. It came out fast and hot, Mom loved her meal. I would agree her sesame chicken is a step above take out, I was impressed. The inside was clean and light, there was plenty of seating. We tried their chocolate dipped fortune cookies, they were delightful.“

“We just ate here for the first time. You’ll be asked two simple questions: how many are dining and what to drink. Food is ordered via a QR code (we figured it out ourselves as the waiter didn’t mention anything). Once order is placed, the waiter simply confirms it and that is it. No further interaction with the waiter. Not used to such kind of service. Nevertheless, the food was delicious; we ordered the sesame chicken (came with rice) and farmhouse beef (came with rice) lunch special which came with soup. The lunch portions were big; we managed to take a solid portion home. I’d eat here again, but likely order take-out considering the inattentive dine-in service.“

“I was told by a good friend of mine how exceptional this Chinese restaurant is, and today we decided to check it out. The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT.
It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead.
Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork.The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed!

The General Tso’s was excellent, and the portions were generous.

The beef itself was already a tiny bit spicy. It is different from most noodle soups I’ve had because this was more vinegar-y. What I enjoyed most were the sides. We had cucumber, bamboo shoots, tripe, and salt and pepper pork ribs. The real star was the xiao long bao (soup dumplings). They were juicy, sweet, and savory. The woman at the counter was very nice with her recommendation. You can order from the kiosk or at the table by scanning a QR code. You can select either English or Chinese menu. There were plenty of seatings for small and large groups and space for a stroller.“

This time we got the lunch menu shrimp fried rice, pork fried rice, and the combo lo mien to spit between two people. It was very tasty, and we got extra egg rolls, they have the best egg rolls of any Chinese food place we have ever ate. They are a lot more pricey than before, but everywhere else is to because of Biden economics. Vote Trump 2024 to get back to normal.“

“I’m not the type to go around hunting for Korean-Chinese restaurants, but a friend recommended this place and wow—this one really surprised me. It was so good I couldn’t not share it. The restaurant is called Mabo Chinese Food, located in Allen.

The interior is a bit old and looks somewhat shabby, with only six tables, so my expectations weren’t high at first. But once the food came out, it was clear—the flavor is pure craftsmanship. I ordered the basics: jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk, and all three made me think, “Yep, this place is the real deal.”

One thing to watch out for: the menu prices and the actual checkout price may differ, so make sure to double‑check before paying.“

“Me and my husband order from here quite often and have it delivered. Tonight we ordered dinner and it was fantastic! Everything we get here is always freshly made. You can tell when food sits and when it is fresh. Everything here is always fresh. But I usually get orange tofu and tonight it was fantastic. It was not too spicy or too hot. It was perfect. Just the right amount of sauce and everything married together well. But the reason why I chose to leave a review now rather than any of the other times is for their crab Rangoon.It was stuffed so full that It could barely close. Many Chinese places you go to you might get a little bit of filling. But here they always make sure that there’s enough. It makes it taste fantastic and for that I say thank you. I almost decided not to come because of some of the recent reviews, but I’m glad I gave this place a chance and judged it for myself.

My family and I came here for dim sum this weekend and had a very enjoyable experience. We ordered har gow, siu mai, BBQ pork buns, roast duck, and a few other dishes. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the flavors were exactly what we expected from a traditional dim sum restaurant. The har gow had a nice texture, the siu mai was flavorful, and the roast duck was surprisingly good.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived, which is usually a good sign. Despite that, the staff remained polite and checked on us throughout the meal. Food came out at a reasonable pace and we never felt ignored.

What stood out to me is how different my experience was compared to some of the recent negative reviews. I’m not saying every restaurant is perfect every single day, but sometimes reading online reviews makes it sound like people visited a completely different place. Based on my visit, the food was fresh, the service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

I’ve learned over the years that online reviews can be helpful, but they don’t always tell the full story. One person’s bad experience doesn’t necessarily represent what everyone else will experience. In our case, we left satisfied, full, and already talking about what we want to order next time.
