“This family owned and operated restaurant is our favorite place for hot and sour soup (the best in the area). They can custom make dishes for special dietary needs and the service is phenomenal. They know our family every time we come in and we are able to eat quickly and head home. It’s not a fine dining establishment as they have a karaoke style large screen tv playing music videos on one side and usually sports playing on a tv on the other side, but it’s the perfect casual atmosphere for us.Vegetarian options: Just ask, they will accommodateDietary restrictions: Can provide vegan options as well as support those needing low carb/high protein broths for pre-bariatric surgery.Wheelchair accessibility: Large single use restrooms with plenty of room for a wheelchair. No steps anywhere.“
“This is a Chinese restaurant, similar to Sichuan and Yang cuisine, not a Taiwanese restaurantThe beef noodle soup is on the sour side, not sweet, at least not to the southern taste. The noodles only have udon noodles and vermicelli, no white or yellow noodles.Xiaolongbao is delicious“
“Today, my family and I swung by for some grub. This place hit the spot! We chowed down on some fried rice and lo mein, and dang, it was top-notch. Seriously, some of the best fried rice and lo mein in the hood! But here's the kicker - they let you customize the spicy level. My fam love spicy , but we're all on different levels of spicy. This place sorted us out with spicy levels from one to five, and it was just what we needed. Every dish we ordered was on point, and the service was flawless. First time here, but it won't be the last!“
“FEEL LIKE HOME!We have been coming to the restaurant weekly since 2007. My son loves their fish tofu (none spicy). We came here every time we came back in town from the trip to taste being home. The restaurant is own by a coupe nearly 30 years. And I do not know how they do that. They do not hire anyone to work for them. They do everything on their own. Such an amazing and powerful couple is!!! We love come here to talk to them and hear about their adventures. A lot of customers have been coming here generation after generation.“
“The owner owns the restaurant for more than 30 years. Both chefs have worked with her for years. One chef is 71 years old and the other is 81 years old. The food taste like home! We really enjoy the food, and have been visiting since 2007. The sauce of spicy dumplings is home made by the owner! You can only taste it here! The must order is three cups intensities and Taiwanese popcorn chicken! Of course, Taiwanese pork stews rice.“
“Food was awesome! Loved the kind people who served me. EGGDROP SOUP was AMAZING definitely would eat again. Noodles were definitely cold but the flavor was spot on. The rice was flawless. But… I would say it kinda get like a prison. The metal trays, metal cups… not my kinda style but it serves the purpose. GREAT!“
“Absolutely love this restaurant the food is always very delicious, the service is great, and the prices are very affordable. I work right around the corner and the food is always up to the best expectations. Last time I dined in I got some crab Rangoon on the house, very sweet 10/10 experience.“
“I have been coming to this location for about 19 years. I’ve tried at least four different entrées at this location. I have always enjoyed buying foods here. The staff is professional and gracious. The restaurant is always clean and neat. As well, the wait time is usually under 10 minutes for carry outs. I would recommend this location to anyone.“
“Richardson Folks, it's a hole the wall. In the right way. The man in front could not be more gracious. We had orange beef spicy and Kung pao chicken mild. As I told him, nǐmen de shíwù hé fúwù dōu hěn hǎo. Really, go try it, if you havent.“
“My Chinese friend said it was very authentic. The food was hot being it is Szechuanese and it was well balanced of deliciousness. Service was quick. They do not serve beer or liquor so we did BYOD. I would say the restaurant could use an upgrade on the restroom, furniture, and decor. The food was so good that we will be back.“
“Google has this place listed as a Chinese restaurant. It is not. It’s an East African restaurant. I’m glad maps sent me here. I had never tried East African dishes before but I will definitely be back. The music in this restaurant is a little loud. It was hard to hear when trying to place my order. However the food was amazing!!! And the staff is very friendly.“
“The general manager, David is absolutely phenomenal. He believes an old-fashioned customer service and he runs this store to the top and it screams success. I highly recommend going to this location not just for the food, but just for the service and the atmosphere that David provides! Absolutely phenomenal!“
“This is cash only and no nonsense, but of course it is. It's an authentic restaurant that caters mainly to people who understand excellent Chinese food at reasonable prices. This compares well to any specialized China Town restaurant in New York, SF or London but with a chill vibe. It's my go to place for nostalgia food from my travels.“
“I was still on the quest to look for the elusive good dim sum place in DFW and this place is the best I've found so far. The restaurant was a little old, so it probably had some history. The dim sum cart ladies were friendly and showed me the kind of dim sum they had in the cart. Overall the dim sum were very solid and decent, but they were not at the same level as the dim sum restaurants in California, Vancouver or New York. I would say this place is an ok restaurant to satisfy my occasional cravings for dim sum.“
“Great service, really nice waitress, and got sat quickly -- even on a Saturday night! My fiancé and I ordered the beef flat noodles, steamed pork buns, and the spicy (but not deadly) fried chicken with sichuan peppers. It was heavenly, crispy, spicy/peppery in all the right places, and the onions were cooked perfectly. This place is a gem if you want to eat away from the heavy crowds and just spend a hot evening with a date.“
“Great all-day dim sum. Where else can you get dim sum any day ?! They have great choices and everything tastes amazing. The shrimp dumplings are some of my favorites, as are the steamed pork buns and the beef with rice in lotus leaves. They have the traditional cart service. It does get crowded on the weekends, so be ready to wait.“
“I’ve been going to this place since I was literally a baby and the quality has always remained consistent. Their portions are big so you can get a lot of bang for your buck, and the food is absolutely delicious!! I order it about once a week. It’s really the only place around I order from since I’m quite picky with my Chinese food. Five stars all around! I also love the decor of the restaurant. It’s very vintage and quaint.“
“Excellent Place For Lunch. I'll definitely be back.Lunch specials are very well priced. Portions are strictly well proportioned. Smaller than most Asian restaurants. But most Asian restaurants give more than than the average American should eat.Price is well equivalent to the flavor. A worth exchange. The Ambiance is meh. Nothing to write home about. Basic. Not memorable.Overall, I'd gladly come back for lunch.EDIT: I've found myself coming back several times. I feel they've either redeemed themselves or my initial read was off. I'm very pleased with this place. 5 stars.“
“Authentic Chinese food served family - style. This quaint restaurant is located in Richardson's Chinatown (upper Greenville Avenue). Prompt and friendly service on a Saturday night, even without a reservation. Delicious and generous portions presented attractively - can't wait to go back!“
“My first visit here so i didn't know what to expect however I am well pleased to have found an excellent Indian, Indo-Chinese Kitchen near my office! I indulged in lentil beans, rice, noodles, chicken, lamb, Naan bread and Garlic Naan-bread! Everything was savory and delicious and full of yumm!! Everything is made from scratch! No canned pre-made things! The Naan bread melts in your mouth!! Very large portions, so I'm brining home dinner this evening! All the staff here at Red Hot are friendly and helpful! I am so very full! I was greeted warmly like an uncle long overdue for a visit and made to feel comfortable! Im so satisfied with this dining experience and dreading my drive home! I hope I don't fall asleep! I already can't wait to return and try more new things!! Stop by and enjoy an excellent meal! I might still be here!! Just an excellent experience!! Very affordable also!“
