“I am so impressed, having served 29 years in the Army was not sure what to expect -LOL Visited with two other Retired Soldiers, both of which I served with around the world. We were all impressed with the museum as a whole. Well done displays showing the Army throughout history, past to present, with as much info you could ask for. We met "Steve" a guide who really knew his stuff & had interesting facts/stories about the displays in his area. Museum is a must see for everyone, but especially Veterans as you will leave feeling connected & proud of your Service. Families will leave with a better understanding of military life.“

“Had a wonderful weekday evening meal at The Walrus. Brayan delivered fantastic service… attentive without being overbearing, knowledgable about selections, and quick with delivery when able. The tuna appetizer was phenomenal and the grilled fish was delicious but, as the entree, it was barely larger than the appetizer. All things considered, I got more than my money’s worth and the whole affair was made that much better by the waiter, Brayan (apologies for any misspelling of his name).“

We went ahead and checked it out for breakfast since it wasn't quite lunchtime - the food taste and quality was amazing! We had a egg and cheese on a bagel, a breakfast burrito, and a smoothie.The service is fantastic, everyone working behind the counter is so friendly.The food was prepared quickly and was hot and fresh. They also offer smoothies, assorted beverages, coffee, espresso drinks, and even have beers and sake. The atmosphere is like a really cute little deli with a few tables and a sushi bar.The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions, we're definitely planning to come back for breakfast sometime and want to try their Japanese lunch options. “Nice place. I'd say a bit overpriced for the quantity of food, but most of the dishes we got tasted good. I had drunken ribeye, a bit small but really tasty. My wife had seared tuna salad, a little light on the tuna, but also tasty. We also split a ceviche which was just okay, and split the bread pudding which was very good, but again on the high end for dessert prices. Nice cozy ambiance as you would like. Nothing to run and tell all my neighbors about, but in general I liked it. I think we ended up at ~$180 for 3 people without tip or drinks...“

The only con for me was that it was fairly loud. Not a knock on the restaurant as there isn't much they could do about it, aside from reducing the number of tables. “We go to 2941 for many of our special celebrations and we are never disappointed. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the sommeliers are incredible (really, ask them anything about any of the wines). We both had the chef's tasting with the wine pairing and were perfectly satiated at the end. The portions are on-point. We told our waiter the occasion we were celebrating and anyone who visited our table expressed congratulations and brought an extra special complimentary dessert at the end. We had a 7:00 reservation and arrived a bit early so we were able to watch the ducks come back to the pond as the gloaming fell and it was kinda magical. We'll definitely be back.“

“My wife and I went for Easter brunch. Food as always along with service was top notch. I like Arti's. The restaurant gives me that when I was a child (many moons ago LOL) and my Mom would take me to a cool restaurant for dinner after church type of feeling. Again food selections were great only thing was, they discontinued Chicken and Waffles on the menu. This was sort of a let down because that was the dish we had many times for Easter Brunch. When I asked the manager he explained that upper management revamped the menus throughout the Great American restaurants after the fire. I look forward to the next time my wife and I have dinner here. I hope that maybe upper management can find it in their heart to bring back the Chicken and waffles. Thanks for the good times.“

“We were very impressed with our experience at Smokey Bones! We made arrangements for a small family reception after my Brother in laws funeral. We spoke with Nicole a few days in advance to reserve an area separate from the restaurant and she walked us through the catering menu and helped create a wonderful buffet. When we arrived for the reception, everything was ready! The food was hot and delicious! Jenna was our server and did a fantastic job with our large party. She was kind, friendly, and efficient. Nicole, the general manager came by frequently to check on everything to make sure everything was running smoothly. When we were ready to leave, the Smokey Bones team made sure our leftovers were packed up and ready for us. Nicole even offered to carry out the bags! “Yesterday evening my friends and I visited Vola's Dockside Grill. We sat at smaller bar facing Union Street. Our bartender, Orlando, was among the best I ever experienced. He was attentive, made excellent food and drink recommendations, and made sure we were take care of every step of the way. The food was delicious. We had crab hush puppies, calamari, wings, fries, and a burger. Everything arrived soon after ordering and was cooked to perfection. In particular I enjoyed the wings because they were grilled and had the flavor that only fire can bring. I highly recommend Vola's for the service, food, and the views of King street and the Potomac river.“

The prices are affordable. The food is delicious. The service is wonderful. My only complaint? I was not expecting the shear amount of food coming my way. The chicken and waffles were simple and astounding. My partner's shrimp and grits were, in her words, "just like ma momma used to whip up!" The cornbread appetizer was fresh. Our drinks, neat and clean. The list goes on. I should also add that the menu was overwhelming... in a great way. I could hardly contain my giddiness when attempting to make my choice. If you are exploring the beauty of Mount Vernon with family or friends, or even on your lonesome, you have NO excuse to bypass this overachieving establishment.“
“I've driven past PJ Skidoos multiple times, and have always wanted to stop in. I'm happy I did. Inside you're greeted by a friendly hostess who walks you through a beautiful, dark wood, dining room. The walls are covered with relics from the past. We ordered finger foods: chicken fingers, and potato skins. Both were outstanding. Lastly, I ordered the French Onion (I try them wherever I go). Overall the FO Soup was good, it had the perfect amount of cheese and wasn't overwhelming with onions. My only suggestion would be a pinch more salt in the broth. Side note* I would have ordered an Old Fashion if the bar had ice molds (Large Ice Cube). I'm not sure why bars don't carry the silicone molds to make them. All that being said, I'll be back, and I'll bring friends.“

“I came here with a friend to play darts. While I didn't get food I did come here to grab a drink and check out the area... The Cue Club is a sports bar and pool hall if you enjoy going with a group of friends for a night out. I think it has the essentials of a good sports bar. Draft beer, good food ( I haven't tried it but the bulgogi sub looks good ), and pool, darts, and foosball for people to play. Service wise it took a minute for me to flag someone down to order some beer but beers did come out quick once I did confirm my order in. I don't know if the cocktails are good but we'll have to try again another time. For what I came here for, darts are in a separate room like the pool tables, and it's very spacious. The darts were available if you chip in 5 dollars, play all you want really. I honestly had fun learning how to play cricket but it is a long game. Although I didn't win against my friend this is enticing enough for me to play more when my friends are available. It's also across the street from O'MyChic so familiar territory for me.“
