“Heard this place was great for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was so pleased with the ambience when seated; when looking over the menu, we felt certain we had been handed the wrong one because it was 11am and there were no brunch items to be found! But sadly, there is only this one menu regardless of day or timing. Very disappointing!! We pieced together some soup and appetizers as a “brunch” meal; the food was very good and our waitress very kind. However, we did send our comments to the chef expressing dismay that a brunch spot offered zero menu items that were even close to being considered brunch options!“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“Meet up with my girl for happy hour. The food was so good. We both ordered the loaded pepperoni pizza off the happy hour menu. We also ordered the spinach dip to share. I ordered the Jenn's Blackberry Rickey (2) based off Kyle's recommendation and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, Kyle's was very knowledgeable with the menu and drink suggestions. He was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was great nice and low key and we had the perfect spot for us. We have a great time and plan on returning soon.“

My sister-in-law had the avocado salad. I would come here at 10 out of 10 a time every single time and don’t forget to ask for Dylan as your waiter. It was amazing. And order the Mojito!“

With my dad's birthday falling on Valentine's, I reached out to Bastille months in advance to accommodate our large party - and they were happy to coordinate with me, and made sure our space was accessibility-friendly. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

The drinks were made by their mixologist and it shows that he knows what he is doing!! Next time I go I’ll take pics. Our server was Rodney I believe and he was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and was able to give us an amazing sampler of focaccia, pasta, crab cakes, and a Ruben we all shared. “Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“Stopped on way to VA from NH after driving all night. Needed a quiet place near airport to park and take a short nap. This was the perfect option. Park police building on north side of the island, parked for free on the south end. After the sun came up had some beautiful views of DC across the Potomac. Decided breakfast was needed and to our surprise the Potomac grille was exactly what we had in mind. Menu is limited based on deliveries and support from park services. A very large renovation program for the island is approved and in progress.This park is a very spacious, pretty, quiet and a nice green oasis in the modern of the busy city.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space, indoor and out door seating. Menu choices are limited based on options delivered to Cafe. The entire island has been approved for overhaul so support for services is in a sunset period.

Parking: Plentiful and free until major renovations are completed

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space, restrooms are clean and in good condition at cafe building. Some outdoor public restrooms are still functional.“

“Usually when I eat at a restaurant, I do not pay much attention to the sides as i am not a veggie lover. But I must say that while the ribeye was great, I was even more taken by the roasted carrots, roasted maintain mushrooms, and the roasted brussel sprouts.“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“Outstanding restaurant & bar inside the Embassy Suites. First off, their breakfast offering is beyond reproach. Great entrees & service. The dinners are also fantastic. It's a great feeling to have a restaurant in your hotel where you can have a great meal, a few drinks & zero worries. Their breakfast is from 6 am - 9 am on weekdays & 7 am - 10 am on the weekends. They also offer an evening social hour. If you're a guest of Embassy Suites their room service hours are 11 am to 11 pm, everyday including weekends.“
