“Heard this place was great for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was so pleased with the ambience when seated; when looking over the menu, we felt certain we had been handed the wrong one because it was 11am and there were no brunch items to be found! But sadly, there is only this one menu regardless of day or timing. Very disappointing!! We pieced together some soup and appetizers as a “brunch” meal; the food was very good and our waitress very kind. However, we did send our comments to the chef expressing dismay that a brunch spot offered zero menu items that were even close to being considered brunch options!“

“We came here after the nationals game and Dylan was our server and it was his best experience ever. My husband had the liver and onions and I had the cob salad and it was delicious. My sister-in-law had the avocado salad. I would come here at 10 out of 10 a time every single time and don’t forget to ask for Dylan as your waiter. It was amazing. And order the Mojito!“

“They were a little short-staffed, but I couldn't tell as far as the service. Our waiter was actually the bartender who was asked if he could help out, which he was happy to do. Despite working the bar and the dining area, he still managed to keep up fairly nicely. The one time he wasn't able to check on us, he sent someone else and she was just as nice. The food came out piping hot and it was delicious. The portion sizes were crazy!!! But, in a good way. Lol! All-in-all, zero complaints. Definitely would return if I'm ever in the area again.“

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“I visited the Nordstrom Cafe in Virginia and had a great experience. The food was really good and everything was delicious. The quality and flavor were on point, and the overall atmosphere was nice and relaxing. It was a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.“

He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and was able to give us an amazing sampler of focaccia, pasta, crab cakes, and a Ruben we all shared. “Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“Stopped on way to VA from NH after driving all night. Needed a quiet place near airport to park and take a short nap. This was the perfect option. Park police building on north side of the island, parked for free on the south end. After the sun came up had some beautiful views of DC across the Potomac. Decided breakfast was needed and to our surprise the Potomac grille was exactly what we had in mind. Menu is limited based on deliveries and support from park services. A very large renovation program for the island is approved and in progress.This park is a very spacious, pretty, quiet and a nice green oasis in the modern of the busy city.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space, indoor and out door seating. Menu choices are limited based on options delivered to Cafe. The entire island has been approved for overhaul so support for services is in a sunset period.

Parking: Plentiful and free until major renovations are completed

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space, restrooms are clean and in good condition at cafe building. Some outdoor public restrooms are still functional.“

“Let me start with the “Star” and that is TIFFANY! She did a wonderful job coordinating with my husband an anniversary surprise!!! Thank you! I had told my hubby I wanted to go to the restaurant as I follow Michael and Brian. My experience did not fall short at all it was fabulous! Of course I was totally surprised and Tiffany had arranged our seating perfectly we had a beautiful window view. The food was AMAZING. We both selected filets which were cooked to perfection, the shells and cheese were creamy and taste delicious. We had broccolini that had a great sauce. The mashed potatoes were to die for buttery smooth …can I tell you the Parker House rolls made us feel naughty they were so yummy 😊
. Everyone who served us was great…with the exception of our main server. I cant really put my hand on it but if we had to describe we would say he wasn’t very interested in us. Out of the couple of times we saw him he seemed to rush to other tables to provide great service to other guests, a bit strange but it did not take away from our experience and we are definitely returning to try the other menu favorites.. “Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“Outstanding restaurant & bar inside the Embassy Suites. First off, their breakfast offering is beyond reproach. Great entrees & service. The dinners are also fantastic. It's a great feeling to have a restaurant in your hotel where you can have a great meal, a few drinks & zero worries. Their breakfast is from 6 am - 9 am on weekdays & 7 am - 10 am on the weekends. They also offer an evening social hour. If you're a guest of Embassy Suites their room service hours are 11 am to 11 pm, everyday including weekends.“
