“If you're in the Hampton or Newport News area, you owe it to yourself to dine here. The atmosphere is like a time capsule that takes one back to the first colonies. Right outside is the Atlantic, which is why the seafood is so fresh. The service was quick and very polite. Not hovering, not distant, but just right.

“If I could fine a 6 Star review I would! What an awesome evening. Started off with drinks upstairs, and moved down when our table for 12 was ready. With a large group one would expect that service would be slow, but Leslie D was super! So great that I HAD to speak to the manager to tell him how awesome she was! Ask for her when you come, and you will not be disappointed! We were all very much satisfied! I enjoyed the roasted oysters (four orders for the table) and the Fish and Chips. The Old Fashioned(s) were awesome, as were the Key Lime Crushes and the Lemon Drop Martinis. We celebrated my wife's birthday with all the family. We even had a visit at the table from a young man we had not seen since we lived in Bena over 39 years ago! Great place. We have been here several times preciously and will return. Thank you Leslie for such great service.“

“Stopped on an early Sunday afternoon in November. Both my wife an I ordered the Po'Boy with fried oysters. She had the homemade fresh fries and I paid a dollar extra for the "side salad". Both f us enjoyed the sandwiches that were made with fresh bread and 5 delicious oysters. She enjoyed the fries and I was overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the sala. My only complaint is that her Coke was $4.50. But then we were in something that resembled a bar. We would both come again when we are in the area,“

“Surf Rider recommended to us by a friend. We were so pleased. The Seafood so fresh and amazing. We had oysters and tuna bites for an appetizer and brought home flounder plate. Huge piece of flounder cooked perfectly. Our server, Brandi, took great care of us. She was so busy and yet so attentive to us. Can't wait to go back. Also beautiful view!“

“Every dish was amazing, on point. The soup trio is a must try...the sweet corn was my favorite. Also had the foie gras...perfectly seared and the set complimented beautifully with savory potatoes and sweet maple pearls. The Wagyu Ribeye as my entree made my week. My friend had the Short Ribs and Crab. Brilliant, unique dish. The textures together were perfection! Loved every step of this meal.“

“1st off Cash Only and she will not let you place your order 1st and come back with your money , apparently other folks messed that up for us . With that being said the flounder meals well seasoned big portions hushpuppies small but sweet and fluffy. Whiting meal did not come with hushpuppies but also well seasoned . The side of scallops were overcooked and on the rubbery side but also seasoned well . Overall pretty good fish spot just dont forget your cash 😉“

“I have been going here for the last 3 months. Love the way they fry their fish. My toddler loves it too. Says more fish when she is done with the portion I give her. They have rather large pieces of fish. Can't go wrong with Croaker, whiting, trout or flounder! Usually, prepare the fish quickly. Call in for faster service!“

“My husband and daughter have always wanted to try a seafood boil. We discovered the Twisted Cab and it lives up to all of our expectations. The food was great, crab, shrimp, and sausage boil, one with mild cajun and the other with medium cajun. I had old bay wings and cajun fries. One of my children had fried shrimp basket and the other boneless wings. Needless to say we all left full and the next time we are in town, we will be back“

“Let me Tell you something about this place, I've been coming here since 2014. Their seafood is great and I get it from time to time. But let me tell you something right now. All of their bulgolgi, its The best bulgogi I've had in my entire life.And I cannot get enough.I am literally addicted to it. It's the best bulgogi I've ever had in my entire life.And i've probably ate it over a thousand times and I never , ever get tired of it. Get the spicy chicken bulgolgi. “My wife and love going here. The food was really good. The service was great. Our server was J. Trammic and he was excellent. The only issue we had was with fries on my plate. I had the lobster, shrimp, and Salmon. The salmon and lobster were covered in butter. The bad part was that the fries were on the plate when the butter was applied which soaked the fries in butter. This made the fries very soft and mushy.“

“We have ordered shucked oysters for several years from here always arrive EXACTLY on the date the say they will.Today was no exception. Christmas eve 12/24/2026 arrived about 3:00PM on oyster stew on Christmas morning. packaging was unbelievable ice backs were still frozen.“

The restaurant is clean and thoughtfully decorated, the staff is kind and courteous, and the food is fresh, yummy, and well priced. We loved the chirashi lunch and three-item special. Lunch specials are available until 3 PM, and we recommend bringing cash for the 10% discount!“

“Ordered the steak hibachi and fried pork dumplings. Decent portions and was flavorful in every bite. However, there was pool of sauce/water from the hibachi which made it difficult to enjoy. The pork dumplings were soft and fried to perfection and the dumpling sauce complemented the appetizer. Overall, it was delicious“
