“Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.“

“Very nice establishment. Service is always impeccable along with large portions of choice menu items. Soups and spring rolls delightful, especially the hot mustard use for the spring rolls! Hot Sour soup always fresh. Egg drop soup has changed a bit but still enjoyable. Main dishes either of chicken, pork, shrimp, beef or combinations allow for large selection of flavors. Love their fried rice. Noticed some meat selections have been slimmed down to go with the fried rice or sweet and sour dish. Still, plenty of tasteful flavors to choose from.

Service always on top of beverage refills or other request as needed. Well worth stopping in to get a bite!“

“The best Panda Express store I have ever been to. Fresh food and clean atmosphere. Above all, a very big shout out to the manager Mr. DeMarcus. He went out of his way to make sure we have an amazing experience at this store. “After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “The general tsos chicken was sooooo good as well as their crab Rangoon, the black pepper chicken was okay, the chicken was cooked very hard and it was super dry there was no sauce or gravy for it which made it not very enjoyable for me, but my daughter loved it. The flavors, perfect, the meats were all good cuts (the pork fried rice had nice big chunks of lean pork). The only thing I would pick at is there was a little too much oil in the Singapore mei fun, for my taste. But still delicious. I loved the thin sliced beef in the Singapore noodles.“

“I’ve been eating here for 5+ years, and my family, they were eating here for like 20+ years since they moved to Chester. This is the best fried rice you will EVER EVER EVER taste, eating red house make me more happy than eating a chorizo taco on a corn tortilla sometimes. “It's a little ugly and I hate the look of their wall of protection. Decent amount of food for the cost. I got the egg drop soup with dumplings. Decent ingredients but they flavor it for white people (I am one). Add some heat! Don't know if you can ask for it spicy or just have to add packets of sauces yourself. I would prefer the first choice. Uncle Roger would have some naughty words to say about the lack of seasoning.“

“Got takeout from here last night. Everything was very good - shrimp rolls appeared to be made in-house, Hot & Sour soup had nice flavor & lots of ingredients. We got the Hunan Chicken - tasty! - had a different type of spice than typical Chinese. Also, the Beef with Garlic Sauce, which leaned to sweet rather than spicy despite the little red pepper next to it on the menu. Both had ample & tender meat with a colorful mix of vegetables. All cooked well with lots of sauce - if too much for you, recommend dishing with a slotted spoon. Also, nice crunchies with for the soup!“

“Today I came for the third time to this restaurant, I like to order sweet and sour because the sauce is perfect, today I ordered sweet and sour pork and it was delicious.

The girl who helped me was very friendly and the waiting time was exactly what she indicated. As for the atmosphere, I think they should fix it up a little so that it doesn't look like a restaurant that is about to close, but the food is excellent, my order today was very well seasoned and not at all tasteless like others places.

“I don't get all the bad reviews, my food was very good and despite an obvious language barrier, my order was perfect despite ordering many items with customizations to the order.

Ever notice when you get your order at a Chinese restaurant, it's always right even though they barely speak English? It's because they listen to you. Unlike most American fast food places where you have to repeat your order 6 times and they still get your order wrong most of the time. Their minds are not usually on their jobs.
