“Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.“

“You must try SA-Cha Chicken with brown rice! The won ton soup is amazing and tasty. Service is spot on and if you dine in the waitstaff is attentive. The decor in restaurant is dated and does need a refresh. My reviews are honest and truthful. Enjoy a meal that is full of value and portion size.“

“The best Panda Express store I have ever been to. Fresh food and clean atmosphere. Above all, a very big shout out to the manager Mr. DeMarcus. He went out of his way to make sure we have an amazing experience at this store. Small gestures like bringing salt and pepper from the kitchen (since they did not have packages for customer use) can make a huge impression on customers. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. “After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! The chicken ‘n’ brocoli is legit and the Singapore mei fun is some of the best I’ve had. Tonight’s dine in experience was exceptional. I had the sesame chicken, fried rice, wontons, and egg rolls, and everything was awesome. The sesame chicken was crispy with just the right amount of sweet sauce — not too heavy. The fried rice was really good too, full of flavor and not greasy like some places. The wontons were crispy and the egg rolls were packed and fresh. You can tell everything was made fresh and came out nice and hot. I’ll definitely be back when I’m craving Chinese food again!“

“I’m biased, I used to work for Tina. Yeah she can be rude. But she also gave me and my friends decent jobs, celebrated Chinese new year with us, and let my Dad hang out at the restaurant when I worked on holidays. I’ve dealt with ruder restaurants in NYC for double the price. The food is good. She’s usually overwhelmed with orders when it’s busy and English isn’t her first language. If you want to avoid any issue when you order just say it how it’s listed and don’t ask specifics or changes. “Mock Ham Lo Mein Extra Spicy” and say “that’s it.” If you’re looking for a bespoke experience this ain’t it. Hungry and want a a lot of Chinese take-out with a bunch of vegan options? This is the spot.“

“We ordered 8 dishes and the food was absolutely stellar. Probably top 3 Chinese restaurants I’ve had.

The flavors, perfect, the meats were all good cuts (the pork fried rice had nice big chunks of lean pork). The only thing I would pick at is there was a little too much oil in the Singapore mei fun, for my taste. But still delicious. I loved the thin sliced beef in the Singapore noodles.“

The girl who helped me was very friendly and the waiting time was exactly what she indicated. “First time trying this place. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were excellent! The shrimp egg foo yung was great. The spare ribs were good, but could use additional sauce. The orange chicken was ok. The shrimp fried rice was very bland, containing only rice and onion. The teriyaki chicken was strange: the sauce was dried and crunchy, and the chicken was very stringy. It tasted ok, just very different from my perception of teriyaki chicken. The service was quick and the staff were courteous. Next time, we will try other dishes.“
