“We had dinner at Chef's Kitchen tonight, Feb. 21st. Our waiter Ben was amazing, as was the food. We started with the Burrata and Dumplings, both of which were mouth watering and glorious. My greatest fear is that those dumplings will haunt my dreams forever. I could probably eat them daily. I am telling you it was a religious experience. If not a religious experience then possibly a spiritual experience. I believe if Anthony Bourdain ate here he would have something pithy and wonderful to say. Something cultured and refined. For an entree we both had the braised duck gnocchi which was pillowy, creamy, and delicious. We paired the meal with a Cab Franc from barboursville which was decently priced and absolutely sublime. Give this place an opportunity. Eat here. My wife and I both agree that it is the best meal we have shared together in many years. Oh and ask for Ben and tip him well. He's the man.“

“Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“We came in for galaxy con this past weekend and I ran by this place on the open table app to get a Saturday reservation. Place had great reviews and i loved the pictures so I wanted to give it a try. I was very impressed! My husband and son loved their food. I had an issue with the first thing I ordered being too spicy so they nicely took it back and had me order something else. The burger was delicious ! They then took both meals off my tab for me for the inconvenience . Great service and will be back! Oh and the rooftop area is beautiful!“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. “We had an incredible dinner at Acacia Midtown and can't wait to go back. To start, we had the chilled cantaloupe soup, which was refreshing and naturally sweet, while crispy prosciutto sprinkled on top added the perfect salty crunch for a beautifully balanced bite. Next, we ordered the tuna ceviche and the roasted red peppers. The ceviche was fresh, light, and full of flavor, and the roasted peppers were a great way to kick off the meal. For dinner, I had the crab pasta, and it was easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had anywhere. There was plenty of fresh crab, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. My husband ordered the chicken paillard and loved it. It was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The cocktails were fantastic, and the wine list had a lot of great choices. It's clear they put as much thought into the drinks as they do the food. The service was friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. Acacia Midtown is a restaurant that deserves a spot at the top of your list. We left already talking about what we'll order on our next visit, and we can't wait to return.“

“This place is amazing. Last week, I ordered one of their bowls and took home ramen for my husband. He loved it so much that we went back this weekend. Even the kids ate the food (manic and cheese and plain ramen noodles), which almost never happens. The staff was super accommodating with our requests to adjust the order for the kiddos. We also loved the patio and ate outside while it rained, so that was cool too. Two thumbs up from us 👍👍😊“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

When we discovered Dinamo was still open (later evening) we decided to give it a whirl. The whirling airplane prop in the front window indicated that, at the very least, things would be not boring. We were coming in towards the end of service and were nonetheless greeted with warmth. Firstly, the bread got me baking again. No small feat. They were out of the T-Bone, which is what both of us were aiming for, and recommended the chicken. I dont like chicken. This chicken was amazing. Im still thinking about the bread and the beans. The Monday night pool tournament is competitive, but the atmosphere is always friendly. Karaoke is on Thursday and Saturday, iirc. Bar staff and security are efficient and friendly, and the food options are plentiful, and always delicious! I highly recommend City Beach.“

Malik if you wanna give government names but I’ve been coming here for years and waited to review but the folks you meet here will become family. Don’t ever miss the opportunity! “I had dinner there last night for the first time with several friends. I was a little apprehensive due to (what I thought) was a limited menu and seating. Wow… was I wrong. Truly one of the best dinner entrees I’ve had in a long time. I had the Duck Breast. It was perfectly cooked and presented, slightly under medium rare with crispy skin, perfectly rendered. Very impressive!! My tablemates had Sea Bass (2) and Snapper. We all shared tastes of each other meals and all of them were very nice. Limited tables, but very comfortable and a beautiful bar that seats 8. We’ll be back“

“I was visit my parents and walked through our neighborhood to get some local coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning. While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.“
