“Good prices, great seafood and sides! If you just want something for yourself or for the whole family. Not a lot of room inside the business, but fair for takeout. The owner is the nicest man, greets everyone that walks through the door. This business is for takeout only, order before you leave the house and pickup once there or you can wait for it, stays pretty busy, especially on the weekends.“

“We had an early Christmas Eve dinner at The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing. It was one of the best meals that we have had in Richmond. The atmosphere was delightful, enhanced by the duo playing holiday music; the food was excellent (as usual) but what made this a truly wonderful dining experience was the service. Our server, Trinity, was upbeat, efficient, and most of all really seemed to care if we were having a good meal. Without being intrusive, she checked on us several times to be sure we were doing ok. She is absolutely outstanding!“

I usually get Just Fish which had been $12.35, the new price is $19.99, with tax $20.99!!! A $7.64 price increase for whiting is a DIABOLICAL increase for a carryout spot! Unfortunately Sugars is officially out of carryout, wait outside in the weather range for me. I wish the owners and staff a propserous safe 2026.“

“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

There was a couple walking up the stairs in front of us as we went in, and when we got to the door, a waitress said “I need that cup” and yanked it out of the woman’s hand as she walked off. A couple of times she brought food out and put it on our table AS she’s walking by. I stopped her once, to ask if we could have our bread warmed as it was cold. She barely stopped as she said “no.” And continued walking. The waitresses were rude and made me feel so uncomfortable with their terrible attitudes. Atmosphere is a little cramped but it was fine. The food was AMAZING though. It was really hot, and the pasta portions were GENEROUS.“

Full of flavor and I will go back. The prices aren't bad to begin with but the huge portion size I got made it even better! I was referred here by three friends and today was the day. You'll never see the restaurant from the road and probably pass by it a million times and not notice. I feel bad for them, if they were in a more visible spot they would probably be slammed with business all the time. However, don't let this detour you, the restaurant itself is not difficult to access. I will be back!!“

It was $20, and they seasoned and steamed them for us. We took them home, melted our own butter, and my son and I ate our fill! They were delicious! Thankfully, Dad just cracks them, and doesn't eat them. Thankful that we visited, and will keep it as an option in the future.“

Def plan to return. Oysters were great. Very few places in town have actual choices in selection.
