“Picked up food tonight for my family members that was in hospital. When I ask the gentleman working the drivethru for a drink tray and told him why I was needing it he doubled the trays and ask me to pull forward to wait on my food. When he brought my food out he had it fixed in a bag with handles and a cup holder inside. He said since I had to carry it into a hospital he thought that would work better. I really appreciate his thoughtfulness,“

“I've ate burgers in different chains all across America and in other countries as well. No one comes close to the Big Pal. It always has been and always will be the best burger you can eat. The only caveat is, make sure you order it with pickles (once you try it, you can never get it without them).“

“Best club sandwich. Thing was a beast. Substituted tomato with onion and any other restaurant will give you like 3 strands of onion, they give me 2 full slices each layer and it was phenomenal. Thick cut bacon on each layer etc. Annoyed that I've lived in Gate city for years and never bothered to stop in until the other day. And the home fries with seasoned salt in jars at the table topped off the perfection. Will definitely be returning.“

“Every time we are in Kingsport we make it a point to stop here for a burger. The food is delicious and this location evokes a bit of nostalgia that I enjoy. It takes me back to simpler times. A drive up burger stand with great food and outdoor seating, it just doesn't get any better.“

“This little family owned greasy spoon is a local treasure. Excellent ice cream treats and good quality freshly made menu items. Typical of a classic mid-century drive-in the relaxed atmosphere is like a walk back in time. Make no mistake-you will not leave there with an empty stomach. The ladies at the counter are always friendly and helpful. They are patient with small kids that can't decide their ice-cream fate. Great variety. Ask about their Hamburger Steak specials.“

“Everyone was really friendly, store was very clean and best of all the blast from the past Peg Legs, batter dipped chicken wings (Testing) were crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Like a old friend from my childhood I had forgot existed. Hope they make it back to all stores.“

“As a drive thru restaurant only, the parking lot and drive thru lane were very clean and the yard was well maintained. From what I could see from the drive up window, the store was very clean. “I needed 28 meals for out of town workers helping to restore power in the area. I called and was assisted by Jared who was patient and courteous. The food was ready when promised and all 28 of our employees LOVED the food. I, personally, don’t care for fast food burgers, but this one was incredible. Everyone in our group loved the dinner so much they requested the same for lunch the very next day. 10/10 could not recommend this location and burger enough.“

Today's experience was exceptional, place was packed and this team was efficient and accurate, like always but with constant flow dinning in and drive through packed they worked like a well oiled machine! “We had an online order a little over a week ago and we were short a few pieces of chicken tenders, so I called the Mount Carmel, TN store and I asked for the manager. The manager, Preston Williams came on the phone and I explained that we were short a few pieces of the chicken and he was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience and said that he would like to make it right and said that he would like to give me free of charge more chicken and I said thank you that would be great. We went back last night and he was there and I told him who I was and he was very nice and said he would make us our chicken. Well we were eating our food that we had ordered and he brings us our fresh made chicken and again apologized and asked if everything was okay, it was great. The people at this Hardee's are really sweet people from the counter person to the manager. The place was very clean also. We will definitely be back in to eat and say hello. Thanks Hardee's.“

“Food was cold. Chicken was dry and the breading was hard. Slaw tasted like it was just cabbage and mayo. Of course we were there close to closing time so maybe that was why. Normally the chicken is awesome. The tea was really good as always.“

“I was so happy about the Taco Bell when I moved to Gate City. Coming from Jacksonville, Florida. I'm used to the Taco Bell employees punching my taco before they hand it to me. And it can be kind of frustrating knowing that whole damn crew smokes weed but not a single one of them can roll a f'ing burrito. 🙄 But the one here is awesome! “Yes it's fast food fried fish, but we have made this a stop for the past three years during ball tournaments since most of the LJS locations are closed back home. The place has always been clean when we visit and the staff always friendly. You don't find that at many locations anymore.“

“The Blizzards we bought were so good and cold. It really hit the spot on these hot days we have been having lately. Our food was nice and hot & fresh and tasted so great. I went thru the drive thru when I bought these meals to-go. I was in a bit of a hurry that day, but they had my order out the window to me in a flash and had me on my way fast. I was very pleased.
