“Pal's Sudden Service wrote the book on sticking to the foods they do best without adding trendy items to their menu. Pal's also has a amazing niche in the restaurant industry in our community.
Excellent service from start to finish, rarely ever makes a mistake (very rarely), and the flavors and taste of the food is yummy.

Get anything on the menu.

Suggestion:
A sauceburger with cheese, extra sauce, extra heat with a frenchie fry and a peachie tea. Satisfies every time.“

“I've ate burgers in different chains all across America and in other countries as well. No one comes close to the Big Pal. It always has been and always will be the best burger you can eat. The only caveat is, make sure you order it with pickles (once you try it, you can never get it without them).“

“Best club sandwich. Thing was a beast. Substituted tomato with onion and any other restaurant will give you like 3 strands of onion, they give me 2 full slices each layer and it was phenomenal. Thick cut bacon on each layer etc. Annoyed that I've lived in Gate city for years and never bothered to stop in until the other day. And the home fries with seasoned salt in jars at the table topped off the perfection. Will definitely be returning.“

“One of the first say that we walked into the establishment a couple minutes before closing, and had no idea nor paid attention to the opening, closing sign on the front door.

Along with three other individuals that was ahead of us inside the store, we had placed our order and realized what time that it was.

Two minutes before closing, Carter and Josh took our order with ease. After serving the customers before us and our order as well, these two employees had all smiles and were very helpful and polite.

This was our first time in the store and moving forward we will be more mindful of the hours of operation.

Kudos to these two going out of their way to make everyone’s evening delightful and pleasant.

I wish that I could give more than five stars for everything on the board. The store was clean, the store smelt, great, and the environment was very friendly.

So close to closing, these two individuals took care of everyone and us and made the visit worth more than more can describe.

I would highly recommend this restaurant with all of the employees that is behind the lead of these two employees to anyone traveling or anyone in the area above and beyond!

“We had seen this place a few times and decided to try it this time. The grilled chicken sandwich and the burger and cruchies(waffle fries) were all great. We also got onion rings, regular fries and chicken fries. These were all ok. We got two large sweet teas and they weren't good. The tea was not sweet at all. Very disappointed with the tea. We will definitely get the grilled chicken, burger and crunchies again next time we go. The prices we found online haven't been updated, so it was considerably more than we expected when ordering. What we got was 34 or 37 dollars. So a little pricey. The staff wasn't very friendly or personable. No smiling or friendly chatting. I asked a couple questions and even said this is our first time here. The question was just answered blandly and no response to anything else. Most of the time at these small places people are very friendly but we didn't get that here. The food was really good and they were really busy (lots of people sitting and waiting for their orders). We will probably go again but not as much as we probably would've with a little more friendliness.“

“I come through this location almost everyday and order xtra xtra heat on my cheddar rounds, most other pals will argue about cooking them longer. For instance, Weber City VA Pals said they were not allowed to cook cheddar rounds with xtra heat even though I’ve gotten it there before ? John B Dennis, this pals is hands down the BEST pals around. The window ladies and Ben are very respectful and one of the best customer services experiences I’ve had.“

“Went to our table and waited for our food. They brought my husbands sub out. He ate it and I was still waiting for mine. The manager noticed and asked if I had received my sandwich yet. I said no. The young man that took our order apologized and said he had forgot to make mine. 🫤“

“We had an online order a little over a week ago and we were short a few pieces of chicken tenders, so I called the Mount Carmel, TN store and I asked for the manager. The manager, Preston Williams came on the phone and I explained that we were short a few pieces of the chicken and he was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience and said that he would like to make it right and said that he would like to give me free of charge more chicken and I said thank you that would be great. We went back last night and he was there and I told him who I was and he was very nice and said he would make us our chicken. Well we were eating our food that we had ordered and he brings us our fresh made chicken and again apologized and asked if everything was okay, it was great. The people at this Hardee's are really sweet people from the counter person to the manager. The place was very clean also. We will definitely be back in to eat and say hello. Thanks Hardee's.“

The building has been the same for YEARS inside and out and hasn't been remodeled for quite some time but the staff and food quality is WONDERFUL!
