“Stopped in here for lunch. Did not know what to expect. We were given a menu and a sheet of paper. Thought you had to select what you wanted then all the sudden a lady shows up and offers items. You can say yes or no. We tried several things and everything was good. Wish I would have taken pictures. The teen boys said they had a lot of a good and were full the ticket then came and it was around $40 for us three. It was great food for a great price tag!“

“Located on 7th Avenue and Jackson Street, Diamond Bay, as of 2025, boasts being the newest and most modern Chinese restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown International District.
Now, if you walk to front, located on 7th Avenue, you'll see glass two doors.
The glass door on the LEFT-HAND SIDE allows you to enter a magnificent grand dining room, filled with round tables, a small speaking stage, and wall-strung-coordinated monitors along the south wall. A mix of the old 1950's elegant Seattle Chinatown banquet restaurants fused with the modern 21st Century technology of 2026. A banquet may already be in progress. If not, there is a full menu experience awaiting you and your party to both attentive service and a beautiful dining area.
However, I want to focus on the glass door on the RIGHT-HAND SIDE, which brings you into a bustling cafe.
Casual diners pretty much could seat themselves, but check-in anyways, just to make sure the busy waitstaff sees them - and that's a smart idea. You figure out THIS is the place to be, not just a hole in the wall, but where modern dining action now belongs - no pretension of a large banquet hall, just good food that only a cafe produces. Outstanding!! It's a cafe that was sorely missed after almost 10 years of absence.
Inside is the action of a casual Chinese restaurant with the bustle of a Hong Kong Style restaurant at 1:30am on a Saturday night - which may very well happen, every night. Roasted duck, pork and chicken hang in the window, and the limited menu awaits for the lunch crowd, or that casual meal of simple Soy-Sauce Duck over rice. Nostalgic.
I ordered a BBQ Pork Wonton Noodle Soup, and ordered a simple Soy Sauce Chicken over rice. Quick and tasty. No ceremony. Just the right food that hit the spot, and then on our way to our next meeting. The menu is casual, but definitely, and full kitchen experience. The owners surely knew what they were doing when the designed the two restaurants with the two dining experiences. Perfect.
Would I go back? To the Cafe... Absolutely.
I am sure I would go to the banquet side in the future. But my tummy will always crave the hustle and bustle of on the Cafe Side.
Come on over. You'll probobly see me, and everyone else you know, getting BBQ Pork.
But come on over none-the-less!
It'll be delicisious.“

“Changing my review because the food was actually extremely delicious and generous portion which makes the price point reasonable. Still not sure why I wasn't able to get any sauces (soy sauce, chili oil) but it sounds like they addressed that. I would recommend this restaurant and will go back once I'm back in town.“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“The PERFECT fuel for exploring Pike Place! After a quick wait (no more than 5 minutes) in line, my husband and I grabbed a baked chicken bun, bbq pork bun, and green tea sesame ball. Baked goods in hand (and $19 later), we settled to eat our pastries overlooking the water. And WOW what a perfect way to start the day!
I started with the chicken bun, warm and puffed with a “pineapple” topping. There’s no actual pineapple in the bun, but rather the top has a crinkly and sweet shell that is “pineapple” in appearance only. This bun was fresh, yeasty, and sweet on the outside, and it contained a savory chicken & mushroom filling within. The filling has generous pieces of pulled chicken, some sort of mushroom, and a yellowy curry sauce with the same texture as an American chicken pot pie.
I also tried my husband’s pork “ham bow” (another baked bun but no pineapple-like topping). This filling was a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce coating pieces of chopped pork—also delish! We ended with “dessert”: a green tea sesame ball rolled in toasted black and white sesame seeds and filled with a green tea paste. It was sweet with a slightly mochi texture and a subtle matcha-flavored filling. While it was a bit oily, it was still SO delicious, and the perfect complement to our breakfast buns.
For a portable, not-messy, hot n fresh baked breakfast, I would highly recommend Mee Sum! I only wish I had more tummy room to try more of their baked goods!“

“Out of all the dim sum restaurants I’ve eaten at, this is by far my favorite in all of Washington State. The staff are friendly, the service is timely, and the portions are generous for the price.
My favorite item is their meat buns. I’ve never had anything so soft and packed with flavor before. They are absolutely delicious.
The restaurant itself may look a little dated from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. While the atmosphere could use a little updating, it still feels cozy and comfortable, making it an enjoyable place to sit down and have a meal. Place your order, and when the dishes arrive, I think you’ll be very pleased. The food is served fresh, the dishes are clean, and the complimentary tea is excellent.
This is a place well worth coming back to. The next time you’re looking for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend giving Homestyle Dim Sum a try. It’s the kind of delicious, family-owned and operated restaurant that keeps you coming back.“

“As a Hongkonger, I’ve tried multiple Hong Kong cha chaan tengs in the Seattle area, and I think I finally found my favorite one!
I ordered the mixed sauce rice roll and the tomato sauce pork chop rice. I devoured the rice roll so quickly that I didn’t even take pictures, but I did take several pictures of the pork chop rice because it looked glorious 😋
The pork chop was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and nicely fried. The generous egg fried rice underneath was golden and aromatic 🤤 The portion was so gigantic , it is big enough for me to eat for three meals.
The decor inside is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere feels welcoming. Harmony Palace deserves a proper shout out!!“

“My family and I have been to many restaurants that serve dumplings, but I have never been to one that has had dumplings this good! Dough Zone provides many different foods, such as steamed buns, fried rice, and their classic xia long BAO (soup filled dumplings)It does get pretty loud during dinner rush, but the food makes up for it! I must say,I have been here many times but I have NEVER gotten bored of their food! 5/5!“

“Outstanding food and excellent customer service! We ordered several dishes for the table, including dumplings, sesame chicken, lo mein, and fried rice. Every single item was delicious and beautifully presented. The flavors tasted authentic and balanced, not overly salty or greasy like some places. The staff checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks stayed full. Wonderful dining experience from start to finish.“

“I visited with my family right after the FIFA game ended. Luckily, we were seated immediately, though people arriving shortly after us faced an hour-long wait.
The food was the absolute highlight, the General Tso's chicken, Mongolian beef, and sizzling oyster were all amazing, flavorful, and served fresh and warm. It did take a while for the dishes to arrive, but the taste made up for the delay.
The overall ambience was just okay and could use some improvement. The restaurant also seemed heavily understaffed; we had to flag down the staff multiple times just to get water refills and our final bill. Come for the incredible food, but be prepared for a potential wait and slower service during peak times!“

“The service is absolutely terrible. I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I bought two steamed buns which can perfectly fit into a paper bag. The staff put them in a plastic box without asking me so she can charge me the box fee. I told her I do not need a box and please put them in a paper bag. The staff yelled at me "Don't ever come back again!!!" It is like robbery in plain day light. They force you to purchase the plastic box you do not need. I noticed they used to have plastic plates for dining ins, but now they got rid of all the plastic plates so customers who eat in have no option but to buy their plastic boxes. This is forced sale. How Sneaky! The staff are always yelling at you and extremely rude. They are incapble of speaking normally. Definitely avoid this place.“

“Best fried rice ever!! I’m vegan and this place has amazing vegan options: tofu, fried rice, veggies, etc. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. The service was also 10/10 and the atmosphere was just an amazing place. I will 100% be coming back here again. Thank you so much!“

“Best place for family style dinner. The variety of food is amazing!! The seating capacity is quite good. A/V quality needs to be improved but manageable. Their menu is quite big and the location is picture perfect- right on the Lake Union with tons of free parking.“

“The dumplings were on point, and the mushroom egg soup was delicious. It is admirable to see the owner hosting, cooking, serving and bussing. The decore is a bit dated, but it is clean and always friendly. You’ll have to ask for soy sauce, don’t be shy. Definitely worth supporting her business and her delicious food.“

I've tried the BBQ pork, pork belly, roasted duck, hum bow, shrimp balls, chicken feet, siumai and sesame balls... all dond reasonably well. They also prepare rice and noodle dishes. One can call ahead to order larger group sized orders for parties.
Friendly and helpful staff.“

“Foo Lam has some of the most authentic Chinese meals in all of Seattle. It is well worth the trip no matter what side of town you are on. Their Dim Sum, their steamed/fried Shrimp and other meatballs, Congee, and assortment of Chinese eats are top notch. Their cleanliness could definitely be much improved, and their to go service sometimes is questionable as far as them giving you sufficient materials- but from a pure food standpoint the cook and staff are great. And for a quick snack, they have great Spicy, Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings.“

“Hands down the best clay pot rice in Washington, especially the yellow eel one. It's super rare to have clay pot rice in the US, very surprised that they are making such authentic one here. This dish is not hard to make, but very difficult to have such good taste. Balanced flavor, fresh ingredients, perfect crisp for the bottom layer of rice. They also have a lot of other authentic dishes which we will being going back and try them all out. You can clearly tell the skill of the cook from the flavor of just this one dish. We also had some veggie and fish, they are also very good, fresh, balance flavor.“
