Service appeared pretty slow, although very very pleasant people, was told by someone else who has been there multiple times that the length of time from ordering to receiving your meal is quite long. “Absolutely charming little spot serving fresh, perfectly seasoned dishes that are sure to please. Excellent and knowledgeable staff can make recommendations from the ever-changing menu based on your tastes, and it's easy to have almost any dish modified to be vegetarian or vegan. Perusing the tasting notes on the wine wall is a nice way to pass the time - great prices on the take-home bottles. If you're on a budget (and I usually am), grab a snack or two. Otherwise, try a little of everything!“

“Frank's is my favorite place in town to get oysters on the half-shell. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. The bread with ash butter and sea salt is a favorite. The oysters are fresh, plump, and succulent. The champagne mignonette is flavorful and delicate so as not to outdo the oysters. We tried a seasonal dessert: nectarine, rose, and pistachio pavlova. Everything is delicious. Finally, the service is impeccable. We always feel special when we are here and we can't wait to visit again soon!“

“This place was a lot more hip and laid back than I was expecting based on their website. All of the dishes were creative and well prepared. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The patio vibes are divine, and we were even paid a visit by the owner’s cat who was an actual angel on earth. We would absolutely

“My wife and I have come here for the drinks and occasionally truffle pommes frites or some oysters, but this time we tried some of the other menu items for dinner. My wife got the Halibut (Chapter 6) and I got the Mushroom Pasta dish. (Chapter 5)

I asked Casey if he recommended the mushroom dish and he said it was one of his favorites. I'm not a foodie, so I don't get overly excited over food but let me tell you... It was so good that it prompted me to write a review about it. I actually felt an endorphin rush from eating it! My wife loved the halibut, (which I also tried) and I would say getting her to eat fish is usually a challenge unless her fisherman father prepares it!

I would recommend a Manhattan or Old Fashioned, which Casey also pointed me towards some new Rye to try. Fantastic as always!

I had placed an order for oysters but apparently they were forgotten, but I was so enamored with the mushroom dish that I didn't even care. Casey offered them to me on the house as he felt bad, which was a very nice gesture. I wasn't upset at all!

Now we would like to try all the other dishes, because if both meals were that good, how can they miss with anything else?

Intimate comfortable outdoor seating we were seated at. With a drink as we waited a short time for our table.

As we sat at the chef counter I could understand the logic of the pacing.

We were entertained and impressed with the ten courses and wine pairings.

“I was walking in the area looking for a restaurant to get an early dinner when I saw republic. I don't drink so was hesitant but when I entered I was surprised to see such an inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, efficient, professional, friendly, and accommodating. The menu was eclectic with unique offerings. I chose the grilled asparagus which was amazingly good , and the beef tips which were tender and delicious. My friend had a cheeseburger which he said was wonderful, and cooked to perfection. It was served with a generous portion of the best fries I have eaten in years. I highly recommend this place!!!“

“Nick's was a delightful stop on my Madison walkabout. Service at the bar was attentive and helpful, and my shrimp cocktail tangy and fresh. Drinks were solid as well. The bar seats could maybe use a refresh though. Vibes inside were definitely neighborhood focussed - felt like Nick's is a local favorite.“

I had the pleasure of being served by Jennifer, who provided excellent service and made the experience even more enjoyable.

The food was delicious, and with TVs throughout the bar showing a variety of sporting events, there's something for just about every sports fan to enjoy. They also host live music, although there wasn't any during my visit. I actually live next to the pub and get to hear their musical entertainment almost every week, and it's always a treat!

One thing that really stood out to me was the strong sense of community. This is clearly a place that attracts loyal regulars. As more people arrived, I noticed both staff and fellow patrons greeting them like old friends, creating a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. After my own experience, I can certainly see why people keep coming back, and I think I've become a regular myself!

Their set-up is clean and professional looking (you WANT their food truck in your parking lot); their staff is courteous and friendly; they offered a diverse and interesting menu; and our plates were prepared quickly.
