I’ve been coming to this location as it has changed ownership over the past 15 years and the Vault is distinctly different from the old Gino’s that used to be here. If you haven’t been here in 5 years I highly recommend checking it out. Family friendly and a good variety of food and drinks. Bowling is also in the building directly next door.“

Excellent and knowledgeable staff can make recommendations from the ever-changing menu based on your tastes, and it's easy to have almost any dish modified to be vegetarian or vegan. Perusing the tasting notes on the wine wall is a nice way to pass the time - great prices on the take-home bottles. If you're on a budget (and I usually am), grab a snack or two. Otherwise, try a little of everything!“

“We celebrated our anniversary at 2120 and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Seattle. The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The Old Fashioned was phenomenal, but the true standout was the Tequila Pho cocktail. I’ve never had anything like it—it genuinely tasted like you were drinking a bowl of fresh pho in the best possible way. It may honestly be our new favorite cocktail ever. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The oysters were, without question, the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve tried oysters all over the country. The smoked salmon crudo was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. My oxtail pappardelle was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed, while my wife absolutely loved the Thai coconut curry with scallops. To finish the evening, 2120 surprised us with an amazing anniversary dessert featuring warm donuts, fresh chocolate cream, and caramel sauce, along with a celebratory glass of champagne. It was a thoughtful touch that made an already memorable evening even more special. A huge thank you to our server, James, who made the entire experience exceptional with his outstanding service, attention to detail, and warm personality. “This is a tiny neighborhood gem hidden away (in plain sight!) on the corner of 5th and Market in Ballard. Be not afraid! Go inside! Experience the staff that makes you feel like they are your fun brothers and sisters. Prices may seem high, but the portions are generous and we took leftovers home. You can definitely share a salad. Get there for happy hour: half price wine pours and $3 oysters. Ask to sit in the room that has a floor made of pennies, or in the secret garden — it has heaters and a fire pit if it’s cold!“

“This place was a lot more hip and laid back than I was expecting based on their website. All of the dishes were creative and well prepared. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The patio vibes are divine, and we were even paid a visit by the owner’s cat who was an actual angel on earth. We would absolutely

“Frank's is my favorite place in town to get oysters on the half-shell. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. The bread with ash butter and sea salt is a favorite. The oysters are fresh, plump, and succulent. The champagne mignonette is flavorful and delicate so as not to outdo the oysters. We tried a seasonal dessert: nectarine, rose, and pistachio pavlova. Everything is delicious. Finally, the service is impeccable. We always feel special when we are here and we can't wait to visit again soon!“

“My wife and I have come here for the drinks and occasionally truffle pommes frites or some oysters, but this time we tried some of the other menu items for dinner. My wife got the Halibut (Chapter 6) and I got the Mushroom Pasta dish. (Chapter 5)

I asked Casey if he recommended the mushroom dish and he said it was one of his favorites. I'm not a foodie, so I don't get overly excited over food but let me tell you... It was so good that it prompted me to write a review about it. I actually felt an endorphin rush from eating it! My wife loved the halibut, (which I also tried) and I would say getting her to eat fish is usually a challenge unless her fisherman father prepares it!

I would recommend a Manhattan or Old Fashioned, which Casey also pointed me towards some new Rye to try. Fantastic as always!

I had placed an order for oysters but apparently they were forgotten, but I was so enamored with the mushroom dish that I didn't even care. Casey offered them to me on the house as he felt bad, which was a very nice gesture. I wasn't upset at all!

Now we would like to try all the other dishes, because if both meals were that good, how can they miss with anything else?

“I was walking in the area looking for a restaurant to get an early dinner when I saw republic. I don't drink so was hesitant but when I entered I was surprised to see such an inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, efficient, professional, friendly, and accommodating. The menu was eclectic with unique offerings. I chose the grilled asparagus which was amazingly good , and the beef tips which were tender and delicious. My friend had a cheeseburger which he said was wonderful, and cooked to perfection. It was served with a generous portion of the best fries I have eaten in years. I highly recommend this place!!!“

“Great place with a nice vibe. I got an old fashion and my wife got an IPA. For food I got the zatar chicken which I really liked. Well balanced and tasty. My wife got the steak sandwich which was great as well. She preferred the steak sandwich though. I liked the chicken better. Parking was right outside as being a thrusday evening it was not super busy.“

I was the only vegetarian in our group, and I was so impressed with how thoughtfully they accommodated me. My vegetarian courses never felt like substitutions. They were creative, flavorful, and just as exciting as everyone else’s dishes.

The service was warm, polished, and attentive from start to finish. If you’re looking for a truly memorable fine dining experience in Seattle, Surrell is absolutely worth it.

“Had a great experience here last night for a show at The Paramount. Food was good size portions, the passion fruit ginger soda is well balanced and refreshing, and the coconut crème pie was the perfect mix of flavor and texture. I had the salmon Caesar salad and my husband had the Chicken Schnitzel, both great flavor. We’ll be back specifically for that fresh made focaccia though! Service was great and friendly. On the more pricey side but I would expect that being across from The Paramount.“
