New American Restaurants near Kirkland, WA

“My wife and I have come here for the drinks and occasionally truffle pommes frites or some oysters, but this time we tried some of the other menu items for dinner. My wife got the Halibut (Chapter 6) and I got the Mushroom Pasta dish. (Chapter 5)

I asked Casey if he recommended the mushroom dish and he said it was one of his favorites. I'm not a foodie, so I don't get overly excited over food but let me tell you... It was so good that it prompted me to write a review about it. I actually felt an endorphin rush from eating it! My wife loved the halibut, (which I also tried) and I would say getting her to eat fish is usually a challenge unless her fisherman father prepares it!

I would recommend a Manhattan or Old Fashioned, which Casey also pointed me towards some new Rye to try. Fantastic as always!

I had placed an order for oysters but apparently they were forgotten, but I was so enamored with the mushroom dish that I didn't even care. Casey offered them to me on the house as he felt bad, which was a very nice gesture. I wasn't upset at all!

Now we would like to try all the other dishes, because if both meals were that good, how can they miss with anything else?

“How about this for a review - OH What good luck, I just ate the most magnificent duck. At Sparrows I darn near made a glutton and fool of myself. Roasted duck with a cherry port wine sauce. My, my, my a beautiful cherry surprise. A leg, thigh and breast accompanied with an Argintine red wine. Lord all mighty is in the most rewarding places. “We celebrated our anniversary at 2120 and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Seattle. The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The Old Fashioned was phenomenal, but the true standout was the Tequila Pho cocktail. I’ve never had anything like it—it genuinely tasted like you were drinking a bowl of fresh pho in the best possible way. It may honestly be our new favorite cocktail ever. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The oysters were, without question, the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve tried oysters all over the country. The smoked salmon crudo was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. My oxtail pappardelle was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed, while my wife absolutely loved the Thai coconut curry with scallops. To finish the evening, 2120 surprised us with an amazing anniversary dessert featuring warm donuts, fresh chocolate cream, and caramel sauce, along with a celebratory glass of champagne. It was a thoughtful touch that made an already memorable evening even more special. A huge thank you to our server, James, who made the entire experience exceptional with his outstanding service, attention to detail, and warm personality. Thank you to the entire team at 2120 for helping us celebrate our anniversary in such a memorable way. “Disappointed in dinner yesterday. Took my mom out to eat, had the lamb kofta and chicken. Both were not good. The kofta was cool in the middle and the chicken was tough & dry. The lettuce was brown, black, and wilted throughout. I think they were rushing to switch from lunch to dinner and just threw anything together. Completely terrible experience.“

“Frank's is my favorite place in town to get oysters on the half-shell. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. The bread with ash butter and sea salt is a favorite. The oysters are fresh, plump, and succulent. The champagne mignonette is flavorful and delicate so as not to outdo the oysters. We tried a seasonal dessert: nectarine, rose, and pistachio pavlova. Everything is delicious. Finally, the service is impeccable. We always feel special when we are here and we can't wait to visit again soon!“

“My husband and I strolled in here around 8:30 on a Sunday night during the football game so it was SLAMMED, however they got us in without a wait -- we just couldn't sit at the bar like we hoped. Being so busy made the service a little slow, but I understood. It was also super loud, and again, I get it. However after the game, the place emptied quick and it's still super loud. Otherwise nice atmosphere. The staff was really nice from the hostess to the waiter to the food runner. We only ordered a pretzel and it was good, but they didn't serve enough cheese with it. I ordered the Pineapple Express and I'm shocked to say the best cocktail I've ever had in my life was from a Yard House, but it's true. 10/10 recommend that cocktail!“

“This place was a lot more hip and laid back than I was expecting based on their website. All of the dishes were creative and well prepared. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The patio vibes are divine, and we were even paid a visit by the owner’s cat who was an actual angel on earth. We would absolutely

“I was walking in the area looking for a restaurant to get an early dinner when I saw republic. I don't drink so was hesitant but when I entered I was surprised to see such an inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, efficient, professional, friendly, and accommodating. The menu was eclectic with unique offerings. I chose the grilled asparagus which was amazingly good , and the beef tips which were tender and delicious. My friend had a cheeseburger which he said was wonderful, and cooked to perfection. It was served with a generous portion of the best fries I have eaten in years. I highly recommend this place!!!“

“This might be my favorite bar in the whole world. Their drinks are so innovative in presentation especially. The drinks are expensive but they are good quality and you’re paying for the whole experience. Like the towels in the bathroom. And the old apothecary soap dispensers. “Fun hole-in-the-wall that serves great tasting pizza with quick, attentive service. We ate the vegan pie (delicious!!) and built our own (yummy). Also had spring mix and Caesar side salads - large, fresh, and well-prepared. Skip the marinara extra sauce - it is served cold and isn’t very tasty. (I love marina sauce, so I was disappointed). Everything else A+. We will definitely be back!“

“Nick's was a delightful stop on my Madison walkabout. Service at the bar was attentive and helpful, and my shrimp cocktail tangy and fresh. Drinks were solid as well. The bar seats could maybe use a refresh though. Vibes inside were definitely neighborhood focussed - felt like Nick's is a local favorite.“
