“Best pho I have had in while, broth was not watered down and there was so much meat in my pho. The broth was rich, fresh, savory and did not have that watered down licorice taste, like almost all the pho place in the PNW. Really liked how everything thing you needed was already at the table, like chili oil and didn’t have to ask for it. Pho was piping hot, didn’t have to wait long for the steak and brisket to cook. I will be back (going back tomorrow again lol).“

“Walked by the night before and didn't have time to pop in after work, but took note of the cool looking new spot in GTown. Checked out the menu and my mind (and belly) wouldn't allow me to go another day without experiencing the enoki fritters, so a late lunch ensued with fritters and street corn today. “If you don’t eat at Sap Sap, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. I would live in their kitchen if it was legal. This place has the stamp of approval from my Thai mother from the Isan region. When she visits, we have to bring her straight here.

Now, what do I recommend on the menu? Well, I recommend everything. I’ve eaten it all. One time, we came three times in one week. My favorite dish changes once a month. Right now, it’s the Lao sausage and sticky rice. Come get you some.

“Our first visit was yesterday for lunch and we had Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Chicken pan-fried potstickers, Chicken and Vegetable Won-tons in sweet and sour sauce and Spicy (Ma la) noodles.....all were very good! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience!!“

“Ordered the beef and chicken teriyaki combo with gyoza (T20) for 18.99 and was not disappointed. This place does teriyaki right, although some may say the sauce is too sweet for their liking. Personally, the sauce paired with the fried rice was well balanced. The gyoza was crispy but lacked flavor, and the dipping sauce it came with was too vinegary. I shared this plate with my sibling and we could only finish half of it. Great value for the amount of food you get.

Also got the bulgogi kimbap for $8.99 and found that the amount of rice was too much. I prefer a thin layer of rice so the filling inside can shine.

“I'm at the hotel across the street. I was originally going to walk over to the mall area and the Olive Garden, but I saw the sign for teriyaki and thought it would be good to support a small business.

I walked in through the mini mart. The man behind the counter asked if I was looking for teriyaki after I looked a little lost. He pointed me to the other side of the shop and met me over there.

I wish I'd thought to ask his name. He was very nice and personable. I told him I'd be in town for a couple days and was looking for a good spot. I asked what's good on the menu. He pointed out a few things, but I settled on the spicy orange chicken.

When I checked out, I thought it might be a tad pricey, but I also recognize the importance of helping a small business. While I waited for my order, I went back to the mini mart side and got a ginger ale and some gum. The same gentleman rang me up there.

Then, back next door, I looked at my phone for a minute or two, and he came back to thank me for my patience. While thoughtful, I was not put out at all, I had only placed the order a few minutes before, and it really didn't seem like much of a wait.

My food came out in short order, he bagged it up and put all the things I'd need (utensils, napkins, soy sauce) inside before I asked. He left me with a smile, and I walked across the street to my hotel to eat.

Bringing it up to my room, I saw that it was a lot of food. Honestly, I SHOULD have only eaten half and saved the rest for the next day. But I didn't.

The orange chicken was perfect. Just delicious. The rice was just right. Honestly, I can't think of a thing that would make it better.

“I’ve lived on Alki since 1989. I’ve seen many restaurants come and go from this location. Lotus on the Beach is the best of them all. The ability to pick from a variety of Vietnamese and Thai dishes is its strength. The owner and staff welcome any and all critiques of the food and service.“

“I get a bahn mi from Nissi any time I’m near Othello station (which is a lot haha)! They make an unreal delicious tofu bahn mi, and it includes delicious mushrooms. They are accommodating to making vegetarian versions of foods (I saw a delicious fried egg/rice paper stuffed with bean sprouts and meat, and they made me a vegetable one just because they saw I wanted to try it), and the shop owner and staff are so kind. “My first time in and really didn’t have many expectations but was blown away by the friendly staff. Ordered papaya salad w/ tofu. Tofu came fried to perfection in my book. Requested some fish sauce, the server asked if I would prefer fish dressing, big smile on my face :). Ordered a (banh-mi) sandwich w/ tofu, tofu was a little soft for my liking but had great flavor and a overly fair amount of ingredients, two thumbs up 👍. I received a side of fish dressing I used some chilly paste in it, the other server asked if I would like to have the chilly oil… ohh man was I happy with that suggestion!! Loved it!! “First time in west Seattle and this location was recommended to us for the best teriyaki chicken. We place our order we got the chicken teriyaki with rice and lettuce and an appetizer with dumplings and eggrolls. Our total was $30 and it was the most amazing teriyaki we have ever had.“

I assume it's new owners now or they've changed the way they make their food. This place is fire! I ordered take out a few times in the past couple weeks. “I love this teriyaki place. It is by far the best around and I’ve been to plenty of teriyaki restaurants. The food is always good and consistent. Same goes for the service. It’s very quick and the owner is great. My favorite thing is the teriyaki sauce which is made in house according to the owner. Will definitely be coming back for more delicious teriyaki.“
