“We had lunch at Cedar & Elm a few months ago and had a great experience. But Christmas lunch today was a major disappointment. The website said “choose from either our five-course tasting menu or our regular menu”. We arrived for our 1:30 reservation, were seated late and then told only the brunch menu was available. :(“

“I love everything about Harry’s- it’s our first choice when we dream of eating out. Love the neighborhood vibe, scrumptious food and drinks that never disappoint, and of course- the service. I am happy to spend our hard-earned money for a meal out when it makes the mark. Harry’s isn’t perfect every time - no human powered endeavor is. But more often than not, Harry’s is PERFECT and we live to support them.“

“lIncredible craft cocktails and delicious food (don't forget to try the cake!) But the attention to detail in the beautiful wood design of the bar and fixtures, the decor, and the down-to-earth staff make this my favorite spot in the city!“

“In the commercial construction industry, we start early. It is hard to find restaurants that have Decent, handmade, breakfast gravy, and well prepared foods. These are hard workers and they take time and care with your breakfast order
I recommend them highly
Conveniently located on Aurora Avenue with a parking lot in the back if it’s busy
Great job sunrise!“

“Nick's is a wonderful neighborhood joint with an unpretentious menu that offers a range of staples (a burger, a fish, a steak, a vegetable option) but with seasonal tweaks that make it fresh and delicious. Full bar and nice wines. It's a great spot!“

“I stopped in for a last minute brunch and they were able to get me seated really quickly. I had the chicken fried steak and it was great! The warm bread while I waited was an unexpected, but nice surprise. You don’t see that a lot in the PNW. The service was excellent and very attentive. I will be back!“

“Drinks = 5⭐ Totally stopped because of the name, drinks were amazing. We didn't eat, but don't forget to look at your receipt. So many fun things to see on that receipt. We kept it as a souvenir. I don't mean anything about the prices, I just mean keep your receipt and look at it. It's just those little details that make this place super fun.“

“Stopped here on a whim with a friend. We had their "Chicken Fried Steak" and their "Swedish Crepes"
The food was amazing. And their "homemade blackberry butter" (included with the crepes, and I got it as a side for my english muffin) blew my mind. Two meals and coffee cost us about 45 with tip.“

“I have eaten at Toulouse Petit many times. It is my husband and I's favorite spot. We have tried many items on the menus and have never walked away unsatisfied. The food is always amazing, the service is kind, and it’s just a place I love coming back to. If you’ve never been, you should definitely check it out. It’s one of Seattle’s best.“

“Quick service, nice staff, a bit too loud, but I am usually hypersensitive to noise. They do have an outdoor alternative that could use some warming poles now that the weather is cold. Overall, we enjoyed it and the food was ok.“

“I have been coming here for over 20 years : when I lived in Seattle and when I visit. We came today after going to MoPOP. We wanted a chill atmosphere with guaranteed good food. I always order the Reuben or soup. Today, they had vanilla cider. So wonderful!
They have GF Macrina Ancient Grains Bread! I haven’t had an actual
Sandwich in a restaurant in ages, but today, it was not only GF it was delicious! So good I ordered one to take home.
Go for the good food, good atmosphere, very friendly service and cozy feeling.
Parking: Be sure to plan to walk a little. It’s difficult to tell when parking will be available near the restaurant. We don’t mind walking a few blocks. It’s worth every step.“

“Sat for 25 minutes without any server acknowledging (giving a menu, smiling, nothing) our table of 5 right in the middle of the bar. Very rude and could have been a very nice tip. Also, if you waited at the bar for a drink the bartender told you to take a seat at a table and wait for a server...ha! Ya right!“

“Me and my family visited here after Snowflake Lane last night on Christmas Eve and they were able to accommodate 8 of us. The ambiance was pleasant, the drinks were amazing, and the food was excellent! My husband and I are vegan and they had several choices. I would highly recommend it here. A little pricey but worth it!“

“Decent size space - dining room, bar seating and patio. Super busy for a Monday night! Tapped burger was very small, but filling. Highly recommend mixing a side of bbq and garlic aioli for the best fry or tot sauce you’ve ever had! Even dipped my burger in it. Order at the bar before sitting down. No one came by to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything so not really the best service despite having a lot of staff. Good selection of draft beers and lots of canned options.
Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of spots in the back
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps or barrier to entry“

“Reubens brews has a food truck outside called Reubens Eats. It has a short menu, prices are a bit high and portions are a bit small. The taste is good although it takes a while for food to come out sometimes (even when it's not busy). It's nice to have the option there most of the time.“

“Nestled in the historic depths of the iconic St. Edward’s Lodge, The Tonsorium Bar is much more than just a watering hole—it's a captivating journey through time paired with world-class food and drink. Let’s start with the bites because, oh, what bites they are! The burger isn’t just the best I’ve had in years—it’s a meaty love letter to culinary excellence. The chicken burger? Absolute perfection—it left all other chicken burgers in its dust. And then, the Brussels sprouts—normally not on my radar—have completely won me over. They’re smoky, crispy, and downright addictive, proving this kitchen knows how to make even the humblest of vegetables a star.
But the evening doesn’t end there. Lynsey, the Tonsorium’s mixologist extraordinaire, is the perfect embodiment of this place’s charm. Her cocktails are masterpieces in a glass—bold, inventive, and impossibly smooth. Watching her work is pure theater, a whirlwind of energy as dazzling and fleeting as a bug on a windshield (her endearing chaos just adds to the entertainment!). She brings a vibrant, lively spark to the space that complements its historic backdrop beautifully.
The Tonsorium, housed in what was once the seminary’s barbershop, is a seamless blend of past and present. As part of the meticulously restored St. Edward’s Lodge—a landmark that has evolved from seminary to state park to its current role as a Pacific Northwest-inspired lodge—its Romanesque Revival architecture and Art Deco details create an ambiance that is refined yet cozy. The preservation efforts by Daniels Real Estate are nothing short of incredible, and the adaptive reuse of spaces, like transforming dorms into guest rooms and barbershops into bars, speaks volumes about their vision.
Whether you’re here for the jaw-dropping food, the innovative cocktails, or the chance to soak in a piece of history with a side of Lynsey’s unforgettable charm, The Tonsorium is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just a bar; it’s an experience that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even left!“
