“We decided to stop in for breakfast one day and have been back a couple times since - it's a solid place for a consistently good breakfast!

I have stuck with the basic egg/toast/home fries breakfast, but each time the eggs are cooked perfectly, and the home fries are some of the best i've had!

My dining companion has gotten the chicken fried steak and eggs and has thoroughly enjoyed that option, and really enjoys the fact that they offer rice and beans as one of their choices of sides with breakfast.

“How many places can you say you've frequented for 20 years. Well, I've come to 74th Street Ale House since I moved to Seattle back in 2000. My love for this place started with a weekly trek to have the Reuban Sandwich and I'd have a Snakebite to drink.

After a decade my taste changed and I evolved to some of the best iced tea in Seattle and the blue cheese burger with the grilled onions and bell peppers. On top of the great menu they have weekly specials and the homemade soups and gumbo are fantastic.

Great place to meet up with friends and have a meal and drink some beers although the do have a full bar too. Mostly a neighborhood place with lots of locals and the staff know more of the regulars as they've worked here for a few decades too.

I highly recommend 74th Street Ale House and BTW I just came back from there and had the Gumbo, a Guinness and chased it down with a iced tea to boot.“

“The cafe was bustling with patrons. I was able to get a seat at the counter on a very comfortable stool. The menu was vast, with so many traditional as well as creative options. The plentiful amount of food was perfectly and beautifully prepared and served. The wait staff of only two waitresses managed the never-ending crowd with cheerful grace and impressive skill. It was art in motion. I am glad I stopped in for a late breakfast. “I have always loved the Cut Shop! staff and ownership have always been wonderful. a couple employees have been undesirable but have gone. I will say i was sadden and my kids were disappointed when they did away with the scavenger hunt. that was a really cool and unique activity. “I'm going to start this with this is not a cheap place to go. Now that's done the staff are second to none. I believe David is the owner and is amazing. Our group sat at the bar. And I can't remember the bartenders name but he was on point with his drinks, recommendations and service. Now the food. I had the black cod and it was perfect and I mean perfect. Was the plate perfect in my opinion no as I asked for some extra veggies. This was my second time there and they don't miss everything I've had has been a home run and the service is top shelf. “Nice, casual brewery has great food to accompany your beer. I really enjoyed the fish and chips - two pieces of cod with nicely done fries - $20. The fish is beer battered. You pick up your food from a truck parked out front; they give you a buzzer so you know when your food is ready. I don't normally drink near beer, but I didn't want to drink at lunch - and Reuben's NA beer pleasantly surprised me. It was really good!

“How about this for a review - OH What good luck, I just ate the most magnificent duck. At Sparrows I darn near made a glutton and fool of myself. Roasted duck with a cherry port wine sauce. My, my, my a beautiful cherry surprise. A leg, thigh and breast accompanied with an Argintine red wine. Lord all mighty is in the most rewarding places.
