“stopped in for a quick bite- the staff are sooo KIND and WARM and i had the lemongrass chicken banh mi… i didn’t even know a banh mi could be so juicy and delicious. but baguette was incredibly crisp externally and soft inside… just perfect!! incredible value as well- decent pricing and large portion. will definitely be back!“
“I ordered takeout through Ubereats, it was a quick order, overall took like 30 minutes. The quantity was surprising huge, it was more than enough for one person. The chicken tasted really good in the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. However, the vermicelli was way too bland. The sauce they gave was not enough. But it still tasted pretty flavourful, except the vermicelli.“
“I've been dining here for more than 10 years and 98% of the time the food is the best Vietnamese in the valley. This is the Henry's Special named after the owner. vermicelli bowl with shrimp, pork patties, housemade spring rolls shredded beef, bean sprouts and fish sauce.“
“Vi-La is one of my favourite restaurants in the city. While the atmosphere is simple, the food is amazing. I highly suggest their vermicelli bowls (#28 & 29 are my favourites). If you're into Pho it's excellent as are their salad rolls. The family that own the business are consistently friendly, and service is prompt. I will continue to return here over and over again.Parking: There's loads of parking in the complex so no worries about finding a place to park.“
“Hidden gem. Honestly came in with my family with low expectations but wow the food is so good! Have been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the lower mainland and this one is by far one of the best for quality and the amount of food given is perfect. Highly recommended!!“
“Wow, super chill experience, the PHO was excellent. The broth was full of flavor and super tasty lunch stop. Highly recommend the Chicken Salad Rolls as well. Staff were so nice to deal with and super fast to the table. Definitely on my list of PHO restaurants to visit again. Also to add, they offer a punch card for free soup after 10 visits. Try to save what you can these days.Dietary restrictions: Allergy to shellfish and Mango, just ask and easily accommodated.“
“Friendly greeting as I came in. Quick to get food. I expected a little bit more rice noodles in my bowl. Maybe I'll have to get the large next time. Also I'm not sure why there was fat from meat in my food instead of just meat.Still, everything was tasty.“
“I am so glad that this placed opened up in Ferndale. We had a few places for Asian cuisine but no place to get phó and it's a welcome addition. And ITS OPEN SUNDAY ?? which in my opinion gets that 5th star.Hopefully they will consider adding a couple ramen options too! And some mochi ice cream! Please add yourself to door dash!“
“I'd give this a 3.5 if I could, but I believe a 4.0 is more deserving than a 3.0. The inside is run down, somewhat of a typical "out of the way" restaurant. The few times I've went, I ordered the same pho broth with either beef, shrimp or chicken. This time I ordered the beef rare, but I couldn't tell the difference between the rare & well done. My brother ordered the teriyaki chicken w rice, he gave it a "7 or 8.0/10". The portion was good everytime I ate inside the restaurant but this time they were almost at closing time, so we waited about 20-25 min for takeout. The portions were almost outrageous for the $13 price point. I had about 6 thin small slices of beef & the container to go was probably half the size of the bowls I would get awhile ago when I'd eat at a table, there was a good amount of noodles though. The chicken teriyaki w rice had probably $7-8 amount of portion for $13 also. -The reason I put down a 4/5 stars is because, besides the complaints I've stated, the ambience of this tucked away food joint gives me a nostalgic feeling, I enjoyed the times I've been here where there were barely any folk inside. I never found any hairs, any flys or eggs in my food, I was satisfied with the service & the broth was (as always) the star of the show. I can't lie, when I judge the food (price & portion) & this restaurant based on appearance, it gives me low expectations... but as soon as you get comfortable, as soon as you start mixing in your ingredients/condiments into the broth & start to chow down... your perspective begins to morph into what I believe this restaurant offers, a heart full of gratitude for the ambience, an appreciation for the time it takes to make this broth & a belly full of delicious Pho“
