“Service was super speedy —if you’ve been to a local family owned Chinese place it’s exactly what you’d expect. Could see how it could be considered rude, but they just try to get everyone seated and make sure you get your food quickly! The food is 10/10, so fresh and you can tell they make it themselves — the dumplings are stuffed and have whole chunks of shrimp instead of ground, etc. portions are large. Price is great. No complaints!!!“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“This is a take out restaurant inside a mall. There are two small tables on the side. But given that it's not a sit down place, nobody was keeping them clean.

We had the roasted pork (siu yuk), roasted duck, bbq pork (cha siu) and egg tarts. Food was cooked very nicely with tender meats and crispy skins. Flavors were really good although a little too salty. The lady taking our order was very nice (I guess it helps if you talk to them in Cantonese) and food came out fast. Will definitely buy food here again if I'm in the area.“

“This is one of our go to dumpling spots. Whenever we have out of town guests and they want dumplings this is where we go! Highly recommed the mapo tofu wagu beef. Also this service is wonderful they welcomed our party of 10 and took great care of us!“

“Our first visit was yesterday for lunch and we had Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Chicken pan-fried potstickers, Chicken and Vegetable Won-tons in sweet and sour sauce and Spicy (Ma la) noodles.....all were very good! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience!!“

Original: WOW!!! Went here with my partner, who is from HK, and they were super impressed. Legit HK dishes, done completely on point. Down to the dry ho fan (chow fun) using the correct noodles (something you rarely see in the US) to the hella authentic black pepper sauce, we were blown away. Oh, and the chili oil on the table is legit too, it's seasoned not just chili oil! The service was amazing too, oh and the HK milk tea hot was also just like you'd get in HK! Highly recommend, we'll be back soon!“

Worth the small wait to get some amazing buns. The balance between filling and outer bun was perfect for me and I wish I had gotten more.

A dim sum restaurant that opened recently even though Din Tai Fung is located in the same mall. I was curious and went to see it, and it was really nice🥟

It's quieter, cleaner, and has better service than the famous restaurants in Chinatown, so you can have a relaxing meal.

All the meals were delicious. Especially the shumai, shanghai xiaolongbao, and shrimp dim sum.

Kid-friendliness: Strollers are left at the store entrance. High chair available.“

“Exceptional service all around. The hostess was very kind and even gave us some extra dishes on the house. Food was delicious and portions sizes were quite large, their dim sum had tons of shrimp and meat. Were from out of state, so unfortunately won't be able to be regulars.“

My boyfriend took me here for dinner, we love dumplings and he has been here before, it was my first time. We were seated promptly! The restaurant is very spacious and has a good esthetic to it. Our server came by to take our order, and I'll be honest. We ordered alot, what I didn't love was the server asking if we were sure we needed that much lol. I guess my boyfriend and I really are big backs. I could have done without the comment, but alas they were still polite none the less. The food started to come out, big hits for me were the Gyoza, Cucumber Salad, Chicken Soup Dumpling, and their Dan Dan Noodles! We got several other dishes but I didn't love them as much, still good but not amazing! The dessert was honestly my favorite part of the whole meal! A delicious banana dessert. Would love to come back here, but now that we know our favorites we would probably order less! (The drinks they serve here are also very good!)“

“My first time here and the worker immediately greeted me. He opened up a large steamer and told me that he had just made them fresh. It was a stack of large tin containers all with pork ribs and rice rolls. I bought one and left as there's no seating that I saw. It was delicious. I would come back for more here for sure.“

“I rarely write reviews but this place is superb!! Clean environment, good service, the food I cannot even find something I don’t like. Everything tastes good. Even the pepper sauce. Recommend beef with black pepper sauce and honey walnut shrimp. They have mango pudding dessert sending as a bonus, even the pudding is made by themselves, not the one you can buy outside. High level! The best in Seattle!“

“The service is absolutely terrible. I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I bought two steamed buns which can perfectly fit into a paper bag. The staff put them in a plastic box without asking me so she can charge me the box fee. I told her I do not need a box and please put them in a paper bag. The staff yelled at me "Don't ever come back again!!!" It is like robbery in plain day light. They force you to purchase the plastic box you do not need. I noticed they used to have plastic plates for dining ins, but now they got rid of all the plastic plates so customers who eat in have no option but to buy their plastic boxes. This is forced sale. How Sneaky! The staff are always yelling at you and extremely rude. They are incapble of speaking normally. Definitely avoid this place.“

“Had a great experience at Mei Wa Bakery with my family today! All their offerings were super fresh and we enjoyed everything we tried (although the char siu bao was our favorite.) It was quite crowded, but I didn’t view that as a negative because it means it’s popular and well-liked. Service was friendly and staff were pleasant. Total spent was around $40 to get brunch for 4 people. Will be back again.“

“Earlier today we stopped by Royal Kitchen in Bellevue (my normal go to) with family and friends from southern California, excited for dim sum. We asked for a table for six (four adults and two babies), but since our little ones were still napping in the car with my wife, the staff refused to seat us until the babies woke up. It felt unreasonable and lacking common sense, so we decided to leave.

We then went to Hong Kong Bistro, and the experience couldn’t have been more different. Even though our babies were still asleep in the car when we arrived, the staff welcomed us in right away, seated our group, and let my wife and the kids join us once they woke up. That small gesture of understanding made all the difference.

On top of that, the food was absolutely incredible — as always, a solid 10/10. Every dish came out bursting with robust, authentic flavors that Hong Kong Bistro consistently delivers.

What started out as a frustrating situation turned into an amazing family meal thanks to the kindness, flexibility, and outstanding hospitality at Hong Kong Bistro. This place truly never disappoints. Thanks for understanding people with children and accomodating us.“

“Great food, fun atmosphere and good service!“

“We discovered this place a few months ago after searching for Chinese food by my mother in laws place. Little did we know that this Chinese restaurant that you wouldn’t noticed since it’s tucked in a corner of a strip mall ,was the best place for amazing dine in and take out Chinese food. Prices are good and the staff is always helpful and nice. Shout out to the lady we see all the time at the front and always serves us. It’s nice to be a regular now, greeted with joy and happiness with delicious food. Glad we found this place thank you“

“I drove in after work out of curiosity. Consider both my curiosity and my appetite absolutely satisfied. I will be eating here again and bringing my wife next time. Very friendly, large portions, food was pretty fast, and good for the price.“

“Sheng Jian Bao - A+; I think the best ones in the area. In fact, maybe the only ones in the area but regardless very good.

Xiao Long Bao - B; fairly good, but if you want xlb, nothing in the area can compare to Din Tai Fung. The upside to XCJ is that they have frozen xlb for you to steam at home that are pretty good for frozen xlb (about as good or slightly worse than traders joes ones, which are abnormally good for frozen xlb).

Zhajiangmian (sweet&savory noodles?) - A

Hainanese chicken rice - A+; I haven't had much HCR before here but it's very good, the sauces are tasty.

Jianbing - A; love the Chinese sausage and pork floss

The Sichuan Cabbage side that you can get with most items is pretty good, recommend trying it.“

“Our family love this restaurant in BC, so glad they are finally have one here, I love their variety of seafood choice and different way of preparing them that like no others restaurants have it here. They have crab promotion the night we visited so we tried the lotus leaf/sticky rice steam crab, everyone loves it so much. We also tried their steam abalone with XO sauce it was delicious. We finished it so quickly and forgot to take picture of the abalone. Other foods here are great too. Great service since it was a week night and about 60% full. They have promotion from Monday to Thursday dinner on special item, we probably will come again to try out on different night. All their servers are great, especially Tony, he was so patient answered all our questions and attending to all our needs; it makes our dinning experience much more enjoyable!“

“Delicious comfort Chinese food“

“First time here. Heard it was under the prior name of Joy Palace. Though they were packed (11am on a Sat), we were quickly seated. Cart came fewer than 3 minutes, very frequent, and always stacked.

We ordered the usual; siu mai (big and juicy), har gau (plump and succulent), Phoenix claws (perfectly braised), spareribs, tofu skin roll, har gok, honey char siu pastry (flaky and flavorful), egg tart (huge!). Oh, LOVE their house chili. Thoroughly satisfied with the meal.

The only bad thing is that the strip mall had seen better days. Hope the MLK revitalization project will make things better there.“

“In our last trip to Seattle, we had to eat this again before we flew out!
We are planning our next trip to Seattle, and we are going out of the way to eat this, and eat this again before we fly out. If I could, I would loved to carry this back home on plane 🤩“
