“I wanted to really love Marina Mercantile. Made a Mother's Day Tea reservation. Our initial arrival was not welcoming and I was asked twice if I had a reservation. My mom, my daughter, and I waited an hour for our tray of treats. We were last to be served. People that arrived after us were served before us. We are the only minorities in the shop. It felt racist sadly or their service was extremely slow. The food was ok not the freshest tasting for a special Mother's Day event. Prepaid $200 with fixed gratitude and service charge. 🫤“

“10/10!! I was looking for a cozy laid back wine bar I could grab a bottle and read, and had the best time browsing their diverse selection of bottles and their fun rotating BTG menu! They have some great snacks, it was so comfy and welcoming, and Danielle had awesome wine recs and was so personable to everyone who came in!“

“Neb has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with some really tasty dishes.

We had date night here and enjoyed a few appetizers, drinks and entrees.

Drinks: This is a negroni joint. While not my personal favorite cocktail they have a handful of gin-less variants and we shared a flight of three, while not a convert to the negroni, I'll definitely be more open-minded! Delicious!

Appetizers: This was the weakest portion of the meal. Tasty enough and reasonably priced, but felt they could've used a little more seasoning.

Pastas: These were the star of the show. Perfectly seasoned (despite some reviews mentioning too much salt), rich without being heavy, and lovely fresh texture.

Dessert is somewhat limited, take it or leave it!

Overall, great value for flavor! I would like to see more churn in their menu items because while we could see going back for another visit, after two trips you'll have exhausted most of the menu options.“

From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by stunning work from local artists, warm energy, and a curated selection of Black-owned and women-owned wines and beers (shoutout to Seattle’s own Métier Brewing). Owner Jamila Conley is a consummate host who has built something truly special here: a space where culture, community, and great wine coexist beautifully.

The events calendar alone is worth following. I’ve done drag bingo and Geeks Who Drink, and every time I leave with new friends and great memories. The tasty bites hit the spot, and whether you’re catching up with old friends or meeting new ones, this is the place for it.

“Young crowd. Very popular place. Noisy. We stood out with our white hair, but were treated so nicely we felt quite at home. The idea seems to be that you drink a lot and eat a little. But it's possible to eat a lot and drink a little. We split a salad. My husband had a Mac n cheese, and I had a brisket ragout. We then split the posset dessert. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a non-alcoholic beer. All of the food was delicious, and so was my wine. The bill (including tax but not tip) came to $115. Recommend!“

“Valentina's Wine Bar is the perfect addition to downtown Bellevue. Nestled right on Main Street, it's been beautifully appointed and is the perfect spot to pop in for a glass of wine (or a pint of beer) and light bites. Her wine list is extensive and impressive -- think old world classics like Barolo, Chablis, and champagne with thoughtful local additions. We tried the flatbreads and were really impressed by those, too (ate them too quickly to snag a picture!). Valentina was serving when we went there and she's warm, knowledgeable, and clearly deeply passionate about good wines. We will definitely be back here!“

“This is a little piece of southern France in an assuming location. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the wines from the Languedoc region, many of which you can’t find anywhere else. And the space felt clean and welcoming. They also have a lovely curated assortment of small bites to accompany your pairing.

When I visited, they had a local chef hosting a pop-up with suggested pairings, and they also have an event schedule for activities like trivia and karaoke. I can’t wait to come back and try their next rotation of wines and maybe sing a tune or two!“

“My girlfriend and I went to Brown Family Vineyards for the first time recently (even though lived nearby for a bit), and we’re so glad we finally made it in.

On our first visit, we were helped by Josh. It was a slower afternoon, so we got to chat and really enjoy the experience. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and made everything feel relaxed and fun. We tried a wide variety of wines and even sampled some of their whiskeys…and we loved them so much that we bought several bottles to take home as well as a fun vanilla whiskey. If I’m being honest they didn’t last long haha

We enjoyed the experience so much that we signed up for the wine club (and didn’t regret it the next day 😉)

A couple of weeks later, we came back and were helped by primarily Brandon. Someone named Evie (sp?) was also there and I believe.. Seth? Who was off the clock but also brought amazing energy. Everyone was so genuinely nice and just honest and thoughtful about the wines and happy to share a bit about the vineyard’s background and philosophy around generosity and hospitality which I also loved learning about.

Overall, this has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Great wine, fun whiskey, and genuinely kind people who make you want to come back.

We had the Chai Old Fashioned and the Last Word... If the devil is in the details - so are the companions of Bacchus - the REAL maraschino cherry in the Last Word and the massive ice cube in the Old Fashioned confirm how serious thus place is about its drinks reputation. Also, the Cherry and Apricot Salad gave us that so very needed connection with the local farmers' produce, it being a delightfully crispy concoction of bitter radicchio and peppery greens, smoothed by a pungent goat cheese and vanilla balsamic vinaigrette.The bread and the sharp olive oil were especially appreciated with the salad. We love gelato, but ordered the blackberry sorbet and did not regret it since it came with a solid chunk of anise biscotti - an excellent pairing for the double espresso. “I have followed Off Alley for about four years and finally made it. They did not disappoint. The intimate setting and excellent service is my kind of experience. The menu was creatively composed and made me curious. As dishes came out, they were beautifully plated and made me order more just to have a chance to experience more of the food. I didn't need salt or pepper. It was beautifully seasoned. My favorite by far was the rabbit kidneys on toast. Wow!! Mind blowing Michelin worthy dish in my mind. The kidneys had a lovely sear on them, cooked beautifully and topped with a rich sauce. The bread underneath was soft with a lovely crust and absorbed the sauce so well. I enjoyed my meal in totality. I'm placing pictures but won't tell you everything I ordered. Go early or make a reservation (your best bet) and order a variety of dishes and see if you happen to order anything like I got to experience. I am an absolute foodie and enjoy Michelin restaurants and unique cuisine experiences and for what I got at Off Alley, it was up there! When I got my check, I expected to pay more because it was such a niché experience with high quality products. It really should cost more. I'll certainly head back...soon!“

“My first time was a wonderful experience starting with a very welcoming greeting at the door with flattering compliments from the hostesses. I was solo and appreciated the though behind them selecting a window table for me with a view which was very nice. The food and service were great and I enjoyed the dinner. When I finished I went back to the hostess desk to ask them to take a picture of me they enthusiastically complied with background suggestions. When the picture taking was done the hostess even found me a seat at the bar for a night cap. Above and beyond service.“

“Tried this very special “takeout only omakase sushi box”, Edomae style ( use cured/aged fish, and red vinegar seasoning in rice). The executive chef, chef Ryo, has worked in many renowned restaurant including Michelin star sushi restaurant “Sushi Sho”. Before joining this new restaurant “Ltd Edition Sushi” in capitol hill, he worked side by side with chef Nakazawa-an icon of edomae style in Japan, at both Sushi Sho Tokyo and Sushi Sho Honolulu. The sushi omakase box and kids fish bowl are both very sophisticated, the curing and aging techniques brings out the deep complex flavor of each fish and gives each fish this extra tender texture, the taste profile as such is hard to find here in Seattle. Chef sake flight ( we tried Haneya Junmai Ginjo and Hidakami Junmai today), one is floral and one on the dry side, pair with his sushi very well. Sushi is in a very elegant wooden box and everything you will need for the experience including a separate soy sauce dipping dish is prepared for the guest. This is, truly, a perfect omakase takeout experience. 💕💕😋“

“This was a nice place. Probably wouldn't pick it myself, but met some friends here. The food menu was weirdly put together but I got the chowder in a bread bowl, my wife got a burger and fries. Burger and fries was ok nothing special really. My chowder was cold, and our friends chowder was as well, they sent them both back. The drinks were good. If I go back it would probably be just for drinks.“

“Ramie offers a modern take on Vietnamese cuisine that really stands out from the usual spots. As Vietnamese ourselves, we were extremely impressed by the quality of the ingredients, the craftsmanship behind the dishes, and the attentive service.

The bánh tiêu was a pleasant surprise—served with butter and packed with rich sesame flavor. The balut duck egg dish was creative and beautifully executed, while still keeping the traditional flavors intact. The garlic noodles were another highlight: freshly made in-house and cooked perfectly al dente. The chicken dish was also fantastic, super flavorful and paired nicely with grilled kale.

Overall, a really memorable dining experience. Ramie does a great job blending tradition with a modern approach, and it’s definitely a place we’d recommend checking out.“

“Our neighborhood go-to for a reason. My wife and I live nearby and Verrazano's has become one of those places we just keep coming back to. It's the kind of Italian restaurant that feels like a real find — upscale enough for a special evening but comfortable enough to be a regular.

I always order the spaghetti and a Caesar salad, and both are consistently excellent. The spaghetti is classic, done right, with generous portions. The Caesar is crisp and well-dressed. And don't skip the grilled garlic bread — it's incredible. Simple dishes, but that's where you really see the quality of a kitchen, and Verrazano's nails it every time.
The drinks are a highlight too. I'll usually have a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned over the course of dinner, and the bar does a great job with both. My wife rotates between a Moscow Mule and a glass of Browne's Cabernet, and she's always happy. It's a well-curated cocktail and wine program that doesn't get enough credit.

The views of Puget Sound and the Olympics from the deck are a huge bonus — especially during golden hour. Add in attentive, personable service and a warm atmosphere with white tablecloths and you've got everything you need for a great night out.

If you're in the Federal Way area and love Italian food, don't sleep on this place. Five stars.“
