“Latte art 8/10, taste 8/10, atmosphere, 7/10. Tacoma’s premier rostery did not disappoint, bringing out some amazing flavors which are surprisingly rare on the west coast. Served with sparkling water which is always 👌. Atmosphere was a classic industrial setting, a tad crowded for a weekday. Only qualm was baristas forgot to make our drink, but quickly made once reminded.“

“I came here to read and work. There is lots of seating and the vibes are calming and peaceful to me (minus the construction just outside).
I don't drink coffee so I can't comment on that but I enjoy the Black tea.
There weren't many people there early in the morning but it started filling up after 9.

“Bought a bag of Morning Sun whole beans. Package says it's a darker roast. Darker than what? Water? We tried it three mornings in a row. With no other whole beans in the house, I had to switch to instant coffee. Morning Sun is NOT a dark roast. Sorry to say I was very disappointed.“

“I love this little shop. The gals are always so nice and the coffee is great. They make a point to get to know their customers and it's also dog friendly. The only downside is the constant loitering of people asking for money or just hanging around and yelling at customers as they walk in and out. They hang out right by the entrance and crosswalk so there is almost no way to avoid them and sometimes there are several at a time. It's very uncomfortable and doesn't feel safe and I feel for the gals that have to deal with that at the coffee stand and I hope they are compensated well because I can only imagine the challenges they face every day.“

“I forgot to leave a review when I first tried this place! My first ever experience was either last week or the week before and it was around 2? The lady who served me was such a kind human and despite me not having my glasses and just picking something haha she was able to make it perfect!! Parking: I am in walking distance and I don't drive sadly, so I can't help to much?

Kid-friendliness: Oh gosh as someone who suffers really bad with social anxiety to the point that I avoid places commonly, I felt safe in here. So a kid would love it!!

Wheelchair accessibility: There is enough space in the door for a wheelchair and there is a ramp for em as well!!“

“3/8/24 7am-Super sweet and beautiful barista this morning! I'm from Portland, OR and was in town on business and looked around for a Bikini Barista Espresso stand like we have back at home and found this one not too far from my hotel room. Was greeted warmly and asked what kinda drink I wanted. I asked for something like I get back home called a blended Reese's Peanut Butter Cup with an extra shot. She asked if I wanted more of a protein peanut butter which I didn't and so thankful she asked 1st.?She made it PERFECTLY and just like I wanted??She said it's so good because it was made with love, which it was!? Soooooo yummy!? While she was making it we had a nice lil conversation and found out she had ties to my NE Portland stomping grounds?? Made me feel kinda like I was already back at home I haven't been this far into Washington since the Freaknight times up in Seattle, but if I'm ever up in Tacoma again, this will be my go-to stand for a perfect drink and a sweet way to get up in the morning!? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

I manage a coffee shop in Seattle, so I’m pretty particular about my drinks (I usually make my own), but on my days off, I want to relax—not commute.

From the very first visit, the drinks were spot-on. Now, my boyfriend and I make it our morning ritual on our days off. We wake up and head straight here—no questions asked. It’s been about three weeks, and they already know my drink. That kind of consistency, attention to detail, and warm service is rare.

-Coffee is delicious (I order a black classic cold brew and it's not bitter in the slightest)
-Plenty of tables and plugs if you're staying for a bit and working.
-The Washington History Museum is next door and the parking is cheap, so you can hang out for a while and not worry about getting towed.

Would be nice:
-Please offer more vegan food options

Not so great:
-The staff locks the only bathroom door well before closing time on multiple occasions.
-There are constantly a large swarm of flies inside and it's kinda gross!“

“Had my first coffee ever from Big Foot Java. The color of the coffee looked a little water down but man, when I began to sip on it, I couldnt comprehend just how good the drink was.

I ordered Mythical Mocha with decaf because Im trying to sleep and I have early morning flight tomorrow. I ordered it online because I needed to get home quickly. Man, the that mocha was actually mythical!!!
I forgot to ask the barrista name to credit her but I literally just got home from getting the coffee (like I still have the coffee with me now). She made me want to come back tomorrow before my flight to get another mythical mocha!
I guess ill say goodbye to Starbucks, GC and Dutch lol
