The table was decorated with a long stemmed red rose and a birthday card. Our meal was so delicious! Cocktails, starters, dinner and dessert were pure perfection! Thank you chef(s). The Formosa Roll was savory and spicy, the shrimp were perfectly cooked for the tacos and the steak came with potato spirals that I didn’t know I needed in my life, but absolutely do! “Stopped here ahead of a comedy show and loved it. Service was courteous and quick.

Salsas were delicious and spicy, and the guacamole appetizer was a great pairing with them. Burritos had a really good flour tortilla and come as two little ones instead of one giant one. Definitely get the guava mocktail!!

My only feedback is your online menu is a bit hard to decipher - the categories don’t look like they’re clickable.

“Devil’s Reef has been on my tiki bucket list ever since reading about them in Minimalist Tiki. It did not disappoint.

I make a commando grog at home.. and it just doesn’t stand up to what they’re making at Devil‘s Reef. The rum builds, the syrups, the ingredients.. all of it is top notch. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in Tacoma.“

“Last night we celebrated Bruce's (Mei Ling) graduation from NYU at the Lobster Shop Tacoma with his parents from China. The staff went over the top with service! From the wine sommelier, to the waiter's patience and respectful help with foreign visitors, and manager's kind visit to welcome the family, I couldn't be more impressed. I tried to sneak in a special desert and was told the manager had already taken care of it on the house. Thank you all! What you didn't know is Bruce's mother is an influencer with over a million followers. She took a lot of videos to share.“

“This was absolutely the best brunch and service we've had in month. Nothing against the other restaurants I've reviewed. The peaches and cream French toast was not overly sweet but the nutmeg and clove I tasted was perfection. The Brussels sprouts with the balsamic vinegar (which was perfectly sweet/savory) great breakfast option. Our second course we had was quiche and eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was a step above any other I've tried. The quiche flavors were extremely balanced and blended perfectly. We finished we a cappuccino which comes with a rock sugar stick to sweeten lightly and vanilla latte. Matched the food in perfection. Camron was our server. Kind, respectful, attentive and not bothersome at all. Chef Kayleigh Bronner is talented. More than talented. Her food is passionate and excuted with precision. It will age well to say she's underrated and the next top rated chef in Tacoma.
Let me not forget the cheddar grits tipped with white cheddar. Amazing.“

“Loved the food! On our first trip, we had one of the suchi options, Chulichi shrimp, the ceviche trio, and mango margaritas. All of them were excellent, subtly spiced, and simply delicious. Yes, the music was a bit loud but it was manageable and did not prevent discussion at the table. Our waitress Clarita and bus-person David provided excellent recommendations and great service. We will definitely go back and bring more friends this time!“
