All of it wa excellent including the amazing drink selection. The place itself has a great atmosphere inside and outside. Our sever, Kemper, was so helpful and kind and even gave us some great suggestions for pairings. Go to Farrar's, you won't be disappointed!”
“I hadn't set foot in this building since it was a Mexican restaurant well over a decade ago. Friends suggested it as a place to grab a drink and dinner. I walked in alone, and the cheerful bartender told me to grab a menu and sit where I liked. Went upstairs to join my group, and loved the vibe of the place. Low key, dark decor, but still open and inviting. The server was personable and attentive to allergy requests, and even went to check the name of her lipstick when one of us complimented her and asked about it...talk about going the extra mile! Food was great, the fries were some of the best I've had, burger was done well. Everyone said their food was good, from salads to steak. The baby potato starter and the fried tofu starter were a hit. There were many varied options for vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, and others, which all in my party appreciated. I already am planning to return and sample something else and one of their gorgeous cocktails!”

“My favorite coffee shop in downtown Vancouver, and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. The atmosphere is nice. The coffee is good and I love their mochas and hot chocolate - tastes like real chocolate which love, as opposed to the typical chemical laden syrup taste. They have Spielman bagels - so good and they put the cream cheese on for you so you don’t have to wrestle with it.
The baristas are genuinely nice people and always give great service - no weird vibes here. 💞”

“My dad has been wanting to try Krisey's Kitchen for months now and we finally were able to stop by. We placed our order ahead of time which was a good idea and it was ready by the time we got there. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. Now for the food. For the price it is a good amount of food. 2-3 people could easily share a single plate of food. The food was delicious. The chicken breast basket came with 3 massive sides, the chicken was moist and had a great flavor. The hushpuppies and okra were also great. The dessert was amazing. We will definitely be back. The star of the show, of course, is the pho. Their broth is rich, clear, and layered with flavor perfectly balanced between savory depth and aromatic spices without ever feeling too heavy. The noodles always come out with the right chew, and the portions of meat are generous and tender, whether you go for brisket, rare steak, or a combination bowl. A squeeze of lime and a handful of basil bring everything together, making each bite fresh and satisfying.
Beyond pho, their menu is full of standouts. The spring rolls are crisp and light with a refreshing herb kick, while the banh mi has that perfect crusty bread and flavorful fillings that hit the spot every time. I also appreciate the consistency no matter when I visit, the quality is always on point.
What really makes Pho Ton 1 special, though, is the comfort it delivers. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down on a chilly day and instantly feel warmed up, or grab a quick bowl after work and leave feeling taken care of. Affordable, authentic, and consistently delicious, it’s hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town.

“I wasn't expecting much from our first glance in; had kind of a dive bar vibe, not the kind of place I'd usually take my fancy Lady. Not *bad*, mind, just not fancy. No table service, order at the bar. 7/10 for ambiance.
Cocktails were *top notch*. I had an Emerald Canopy (punchy, pineapple forward), and my Lady had Pelennor Fields (like a smoked old fashioned, but a bit fruity), and both were excellent. I also had a rum punch, which was also great. 10/10 for drinks.
The food absolutely blew us away. I had the Grocery Burger with fries, and the Lady had Mac & Cheese with grilled chicken. Both were fantastic. We shared the Fried Brussels Sprouts, which may be the best Brussels I've ever had in my life (and I've had a lot). We finished with the Creme Brûlée, which was also great. 10/10 for food.
The space inside is pretty small; fine for a Wednesday, but it might be hectic on a Saturday night. Regardless, The Lady and I were extremely pleased with The Grocery, and we will for sure be back.”

“I didn’t know this place existed! What a cool find 💎 I stepped into The Foxhole with zero expectations—I was quietly blown away. Dark, art-deco vibes that feel intimate without being heavy. Pretty open space, so our group didn’t feel like we were fighting for room. The bar started out quiet, then filled just enough to buzz without chaos. Cute photo booth. I didn't order food but whatever was going by looked good. The guys snuck away to play on the classic arcade games for a while in the back lolz.
Drinks were clever, balanced, and beautifully served. We tried a bunch of cocktails across the menu. The Charlie Tango drink presentation was show-stopping. Wait times weren’t very long with two bartenders. Aurora was really friendly and helped refill our water. Didn’t talk with her much, but she had a sweet presence. Christian made our drinks and was hilarious—witty, quick to read the room when we needed something. I will definitely be back to debate big foot with him.

“Maybe a year ago I see this dude that goes by Mexi Papa, who is often with Mark Weins in the SW and Mexico, go to Las Islas En Ponchos and put it on YouTube. Been on my list ever since. Since then, my expectation was that I was going to be head over heels like Tears for Fears for the shrimp empanadas with queso. They were delicious, however...I did not imagine that I was going to eat the best crab I've ever had. The patas de jaiba has this butter garlic chili...just GOTdamn ridiculously tasty sauce with sliced red onions all over the plate. When you get a good chunk of crab out of there and spoon some of that sauce and onions on it, it's just so damn satisfying. Best crab ever. Even better than BBQ versions I've had. I was so full that I only really tasted the fajitas that I got, which were absolutely awesome in their own right. I just didn't have enough room and my wife also loves fajitas so that was a good take home anyway. The michelada was pretty standard and tasty, but the mangoneada was top notch. They use mango puree and blend it with ice and that's what makes it great, rather than just using juice or some mix. Good dose of chamoy in and on the glass with a tajin rim..great drink that comes with or without alcohol. This place is largely a seafood restaurant in Nayarit fashion, a small Mexican state just north of Puerto Vallarta, but you can get this food on 4th Plain.The band was supposed to start at 7:30, but didn't start until 8 so I only caught the opening, but they've been advertising a band once a week on their Facebook page so keep an eye out if you care. It is LOUD in there though so be warned. And just because I feel like throwing something random in here and also because Linda Ronstadt has become popular again because of The Last of Us and her music brings back memories of my mother, many people don't know that she is half Mexican and had a very successful career across the border. I was so glad to hear the family has pulled it all back together and re-opened MIGUELS!
