“Visiting friends in Portland, they took us here for Breakfast. Loved the ambiance. After a 30-minute wait (we didn't have a reservation), we were finally seated and waited... and waited... and waited, eventually receiving our order after another 45 minutes. Two of three orders were wrong - I had ordered "The standard" - described as "the standard two eggs* with a choice of bacon or Zenner's sausage served with home fries or field greens and choice of toast". Got it with roasted potatoes. The waiter insisted that's how they would always come - but then served extra fries - and, to make up for the wait, comped us with some of the jummy sweet balls they show in their icon image. I found this nice, but also the only appropriate thing to do to save them from a two-star review. Because the server, whom I found uncharmingly stressed at first, really woke up and sped up his game, I would take the experience and try it again when we visit our friends next time. The place itself is very nice, and the food was tasty - and would under other circumstances qualify for four stars or more (if you have read my other reviews, you may remember that I am rather particular with five stars).”

All of it wa excellent including the amazing drink selection. The place itself has a great atmosphere inside and outside. Our sever, Kemper, was so helpful and kind and even gave us some great suggestions for pairings. Go to Farrar's, you won't be disappointed!”

Also had the earl grey cookie and it was really delicious.”

“First time here today. It smells so good just walking in the door. I'm not sure of the spelling but Devon is so friendly and warm. He was very patient with my never ending questions If you haven't had their homemade bread, you should. I ordered a meat lovers and its as good as any pizza I can remember. It took me back to my favorite pizza as a child. The menu is pretty broad, everything we had I enjoyed. The service had me smiling. This is a phenomenal place!”

Christian was our server and he was on point with literally everything. From drinks, checking in, bringing boxes, and friendly-ness! Couldn't be more impressed! “I’ve been going to the Taco Bell in the Hazel Dell/Vancouver area for about eight years now—definitely more times than I’d like to admit, lol. The staff is always super friendly, the service is fast, and my order is consistently accurate.
I really appreciate Larisa, Kenny, and the manager Shannon. They always make sure my vegetarian order is fresh off the grill and exactly how I want it. It’s rare to find that level of attention and consistency at a fast food spot.

They have vegetarian choices and some nice gluten free pastries that are all made on the premises. It’s really cute and clean. The staff is friendly and quick to make you feel welcome. I live really close to it and I highly recommend it. It is in the previous chase bank on SE 84th and 137th. Easy access from Padden Parkway. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. 🥰”

Waitress is very nice and made sure we liked everything. Their food is outstanding and delicious. I had the waffle with bananas and blueberries. It looked too good to eat! Very well presented. I actually had to take a picture of it.

After 10 minutes we checked in, and Peyton was on top of it. He checked with the kitchen and made sure we happy. We eventually got the burger to go, but the service was just stellar. We couldn't ask for more. Peyton and Bella deserve a ton of recognition and praise”

“I stopped by Lil La Oie for brunch and was completely blown away. The vibe is charming, cozy, and cute patio — the kind of spot you instantly want to spend every sunny Sunday afternoon at. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and clotted cream, and wow. It was more like a dreamy bread pudding than traditional French toast — perfectly soft and custardy in the center with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. Topped with fresh, juicy strawberries and the most decadent clotted cream, it struck that perfect balance between rich and not overly sweet. And then… the alligator sausage on the side. Yes, you read that right. Alligator! It was flavorful, just the right amount of spice, and cooked beautifully. A fun and unexpected treat that totally worked. The service was warm and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the portions were generous without being over the top. You can tell there’s real thought and love behind every dish. Lil La Oie is doing something special — definitely adding this to my regular brunch rotation!”

Pretty open space, so our group didn’t feel like we were fighting for room. The bar started out quiet, then filled just enough to buzz without chaos. Cute photo booth. I didn't order food but whatever was going by looked good. The guys snuck away to play on the classic arcade games for a while in the back lolz.
Drinks were clever, balanced, and beautifully served. We tried a bunch of cocktails across the menu. The Charlie Tango drink presentation was show-stopping. Wait times weren’t very long with two bartenders. Aurora was really friendly and helped refill our water. Didn’t talk with her much, but she had a sweet presence. Christian made our drinks and was hilarious—witty, quick to read the room when we needed something. I will definitely be back to debate big foot with him.

I am not familiar with the Vancouver area and called this place off a recommendation from a customer. I needed a large order completed on a certain day and at a time that was within a half hour of them opening so wasn't sure they could accommodate me. I called a few weeks in advance and the person who answered the phone took my information down, said she would pass it along to the manager, and to call a couple days before I needed the order and the manager (Jersey) would take care of it. I'm OCD and put it on my calendar to call - Jersey answered and said was just walking back to actually call ME to place the order (oh, and that she was the same and had it on her calendar too). If you bring in food for customers or a large group often you know how often things can or do go wrong, so then you also know just how RARE this is to hear. Showed up after a 3 hour drive, pizzas were done on time and they thought of everything from utensils, etc down to extra dressing for people who like it on their pizza. AMAZING! Thank you Jersey, Topanga (bartender working that morning) and the Uptown team for making my lunch for 40+ people such an amazing and stress free experience!
I already know the pizza is good but I'll be back since I hear the wine selection is top tier with wines sourced from all over that are rare and hard to find.

“This was our second time at Shin Sen. The first time, we ate at a table in the restaurant area. This time, we sat at the bar. The bar area is small but has a great ambience. They were very busy which is probably why it took a few minutes to get us water and our first drink. After that, everything was wonderful. Our bartender/server was the same as we had at our first time and she was very friendly and talkative - something we really like in a bartender. Husband had the spicy chicken teriyaki (add veggies) and he loved it. I had the Geisha Roll which was good but not as good as the Vancouver Roll I had the first time. Also, had the seaweed salad which was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place!”
