“Visiting friends in Portland, they took us here for Breakfast. Loved the ambiance. After a 30-minute wait (we didn't have a reservation), we were finally seated and waited... and waited... and waited, eventually receiving our order after another 45 minutes. Two of three orders were wrong - I had ordered "The standard" - described as "the standard two eggs* with a choice of bacon or Zenner's sausage served with home fries or field greens and choice of toast". Got it with roasted potatoes. The waiter insisted that's how they would always come - but then served extra fries - and, to make up for the wait, comped us with some of the jummy sweet balls they show in their icon image. I found this nice, but also the only appropriate thing to do to save them from a two-star review. Because the server, whom I found uncharmingly stressed at first, really woke up and sped up his game, I would take the experience and try it again when we visit our friends next time. The place itself is very nice, and the food was tasty - and would under other circumstances qualify for four stars or more (if you have read my other reviews, you may remember that I am rather particular with five stars).”

We took a while to go over the menu and the waiter was super nice about it. He gave us plenty of time and made sure we knew he wouldn't be far away if we wanted to ask any questions. Everything we ordere tasted amazing, the meat was all tender and juicy. The soup was packed with delicious flavor and the house sauce they make is absolutely amazing. The owner himself came out and checked up with us and asked if we had any questions or needed anything. It was a really nice pesonable experience and I will definitely be coming back here.”

We were on our way to Beaverton and arrived close to closing time, but the staff graciously welcomed us in despite the late hour. The food was absolutely incredible—it's been a long time since I've had something so delicious! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. And I must mention the dessert—it's truly to die for! It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. “Really excellent matcha latte. Hand whisked to order and they use Mizuba. The barista was very kind and excited with how verdant this matcha order was. This was the best matcha latte I’ve had in a long while - very balanced, whisked so well, actually had a great matcha flavor instead of tasting mostly like milk. Would recommend and come back again. Also had the earl grey cookie and it was really delicious.”

Everyone other employee was dressed in attire you would see at Oktoberfest as you would expect in a German restaurant. She was in a very casual oversized sloppy looking sweatshirt or sweater. And although I use a walker, she led my husband quickly to our table, chatted with him while waiting for me to catch up. Then she walked away without even waiting for me to actually get to the table or speaking to me at all - VERY RUDE!! Our waitress, server, greeter and the food more than made up for the bad taste she left in my mouth, thank goodness.”

He was very patient with my never ending questions If you haven't had their homemade bread, you should. I ordered a meat lovers and its as good as any pizza I can remember. It took me back to my favorite pizza as a child. The menu is pretty broad, everything we had I enjoyed. The service had me smiling. This is a phenomenal place!”

The campaign is biased against people who need to (or choose to) get around by methods other than cars. My husband is Armenian, and with most of his family living out of town, we were genuinely so excited to discover an Armenian restaurant here in Vancouver. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations.
We ordered the walnut eggplant rolls, borscht soup, the pickled plate, chicken and beef kabobs, lamb chops, and baklava—everything was absolutely wonderful. Each dish was flavorful, authentic, and clearly made with care.
A special shout-out to Greg, our server. My husband was so pumped to be able to speak Armenian with someone, and Greg truly made the experience even more special. He did an amazing job, was attentive, warm, and took great care of us throughout the meal.
We can’t wait to come back and will absolutely be recommending your restaurant to friends and family. Thank you for bringing such a meaningful and delicious experience to Vancouver!”

In the rain and wind and 50 degree temperatures. This worker has done this to me in the past. On this visit they held my drink out and asked I pull up to next window. At least my food bag didn't dangle out of the restaurant. The customer behind me wasn't so lucky. Please McDonald's, can you train your employees to keep the food inside the restaurant until they hand it to the actual customer and not hang it out to dry and cool off. Prefer my fries hot. “I had to leave a review for Drew at the Subway near Falk Rd — he seriously stood out tonight. It was late, there was a long line, and honestly I was exhausted walking in. But Drew was incredibly kind, calm, and welcoming the whole time.
Even with a full line of people, everyone stayed patient because he kept things moving so smoothly. He was fast and efficient without ever making anyone feel rushed, and his attitude never slipped for a second.
That kind of service is rare, especially late at night. You can tell he genuinely cares about people and takes pride in what he does. Drew made a stressful moment feel easy, and I really appreciate it!

“Words can’t describe the emotions I have after eating here. I grew up in Silverton, Oregon. Every weekend my family would have our outing to ‘HomePlace Pizza’. I grew up with it. It was my favorite pizza! And even an emotional, yes emotional connection to this pizza. If you’ve ever had it, you’d know just how incredible this pizza is. Welp, fast forward 40 years. I’ve lived all over. Settled in Camas, WA. Never finding a pizza that is even close to HomePlace…. Well SOB!! I found it at Barrel Mountain! I took a bite... All my childhood memories rushing back. The crust, the flavor, the crispness and fluffiness in the crust. A tear is shed as I look across the table to my wife as she asks… well, similar to HomePlace (for the 109th time). OMG.. it’s the same babe! Ahhhh! just overjoyed! The server (Desere) comes around… how y’all doing? I shed another tear and ask… have you ever been to Silverton, OR? Yes! she replies. I ask - you ever been to HomePlace Pizza? She responds, yes!! and did you know that Don who is the owner of HomePlace taught us EXACTLY how to make that pizza here?!? He taught us how to make the crust, the cooking time, the sit time and even the oven! My jaw drops! I knew it! It is HomePlace pizza! Long story short… Desere is an AMAZING and the friendliness server! And yes, hands down best Pizza on this side of the river! My soul is complete 🙏😊🍕🍕🍕”

They have vegetarian choices and some nice gluten free pastries that are all made on the premises. It’s really cute and clean. The staff is friendly and quick to make you feel welcome. I live really close to it and I highly recommend it. It is in the previous chase bank on SE 84th and 137th. Easy access from Padden Parkway. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. 🥰”

I wish I took pics of my food but I was super hungry and just wanted to eat and sip the delicious broth along with tons of veggies. I ordered the flank steak pho, van mi grilled pork, fresh spring rolls and delicious peanut sauce. I had to order taro tea too of course since I wanted something to cool my throat after the pho. My husband is Armenian, and with most of his family living out of town, we were genuinely so excited to discover an Armenian restaurant here in Vancouver. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations.
We ordered the walnut eggplant rolls, borscht soup, the pickled plate, chicken and beef kabobs, lamb chops, and baklava—everything was absolutely wonderful. Each dish was flavorful, authentic, and clearly made with care.
A special shout-out to Greg, our server. My husband was so pumped to be able to speak Armenian with someone, and Greg truly made the experience even more special. He did an amazing job, was attentive, warm, and took great care of us throughout the meal.

I love that my hubby leans into my dietary constraints. Tonight he stuck to the vegan options available - without modifications! He found this place after about 45 minutes of searching locally and a few towns north. Essentially the idea of travel more than we have to was unappealing to me.
Social is a great way to describe the atmosphere - vibe is calm, upbeat, and positive. The staff lean into the vibe with casual clean attire that matches the social vibe.
We opted for the butternut squash curry with ‘shrooms, kale, and a light chopped hazelnuts topping. The heat was close to a 3 that I have expert other locations. It is heat but doesn’t burn. Lips have a slight tingle that feels good!
The curry had large chunks of well cooked squash, plenty of kale, and a few mushrooms. The chopped hazelnuts stayed crunchy until the last drop. And I do mean drop!
We also had the handcut Yukon gold fries - no salt. The plate was filled and they were fresh and HOT! It was hard to get my hands on a few as these are hubbies favorite potato🤣.
They have a good selection of beer on tap, plenty of options for cocktails and mixed drinks of most any type. They also have fresh fruit for drinks which is nice to see. I had an earl grey tea with lemon and honey - deliciousness!

Wait times weren’t very long with two bartenders. Aurora was really friendly and helped refill our water. Didn’t talk with her much, but she had a sweet presence. Christian made our drinks and was hilarious—witty, quick to read the room when we needed something. I will definitely be back to debate big foot with him.

Next, the friendly atmosphere is created by the restaurant staff. Restaurant chefs prepare dishes right next to you and you can watch it being prepared. During our visit, we tried many dishes and drinks. I must admit that my husband, who is a very picky person and stingy with praise, found the food very tasty and delicious, giving much praises to the staff. I recently visited Billygan’s Roadhouse in Vancouver, Washington with my niece, my great-niece, and some of their extended family, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. It’s one of those places that immediately feels fun and relaxed the moment you walk in.
One of the coolest parts—especially if you’re bringing kids—is the classic roadhouse tradition of peanut shells on the floor. You can toss them right on the ground, which makes it feel carefree and playful. No stressing about making a mess—just enjoy yourself. It creates such a great family environment where everyone can relax and have fun.
The food was excellent, but for me the nachos absolutely stole the show. They had the perfect balance of cheese and chicken, and the sauce was spot-on—not too spicy, just really flavorful. It was incredibly satisfying and honestly the perfect portion for one person. I was full and happy by the end.
The best part of the visit, though, was spending time there with my niece Lily. We had such a great time together, and you can see it in her smile—it says everything about how much fun we had.
This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again, and I’m already looking forward to bringing Lily back for another visit. If you’re looking for a fun, casual spot with great food and a family-friendly atmosphere, Billygan’s Roadhouse is a great choice. 🍽️🥜😊”

They also have a library of games you can play in the cafe. They have about 8-10 play tables and the cafe offers a variety of soups, sandwiches, drinks, and more! “OK. Cariño. What a place. The owner makes every customer feel special. Her name is Melissa and all I can say is, “Thank you.” She made us both feel right at home. She co-owns the place with her sister. All the food is clean (no preservatives, etc.). The sodas in the fridge are clean. They make their own tortillas, their own hot sauce (her dad’s recipe), their own horchata . . . and their philosophy is, “Would I feed this food to my family at home?” The atmosphere is fun. There are cacti and plants everywhere, and there’s fun art on the walls. The wifi is more than fast enough (290 mbps if I remember correctly). The bathrooms are clean. There are several small places where you can feel intimate. I love the couch/chairs and little round table near the front. Their mocha flights—you have to try them. They’re a little spendy at $17, but they include four Mexican Mochas (cardamom, orange, habañero, and . . . I can’t remember). But get the flight, get the avocado toast, sit with a friend, and really FEEL the downtown Vancouver coffee shop vibe. I can’t say enough good things about Cariño. Oh yes, on Thursday and Friday nights they transform into a wine bar, serving specialty wine flights (also $17 if I remember correctly). The wines are from Mexico and the vibe is distinctly different from the daytime vibe. I can’t wait to try their “After Hours” experience myself. All in all, five stars. A must-visit. “I like cool and unusual hot dog shops and Diggity Dog is most definitely one of those. The atmosphere is colorful and corky The people working there were super friendly and outgoing and the hot dog was delicious. I had the opportunity to eat in. They only have a few seats. It's mainly takeout. It's a bit away from where I live. But I shall return.”

“This place honestly exceeded all my expectations.
The food is absolutely incredible — not just good, but truly authentic and made with real care. As someone who knows Turkish cuisine very well, I can confidently say that some of the dishes here are even better than what you find in many restaurants in Turkey.
Every bite reminded me of home, but with an extra level of quality and flavor that’s hard to find. The ingredients taste fresh, the seasoning is perfectly balanced, and you can tell everything is made with passion.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for real Turkish food, this is the place. I will definitely be coming back.”

“My brother and I went to the Cove last night and they got it right. Everything was excellent! I had the ahi tuna and my brother the scallops. Not a nite left. Even shared a dessert of butter cake ! Our server was awesome”
