“I really like Milos and we eat at the Pelham store regularly. However yesterday was a disappointment. The tea was terrible, it taste soured, and I buy Milos tea at the grocery so I know how it should taste. When I returned it to the counter the employee stated others had complained about the taste, so why didn’t they make new tea? Also the burger with lettuce & tomato kept falling apart because the lettuce was a huge thick piece too large for the sandwich. The regular cheeseburger was thrown together also. I’m not sure what was going on yesterday but it was not a good experience.“

“Not a huge fan of Milos. That being said the employees were nice and polite, cutting up and having a good time at work. They brought that to the atmosphere of the restaurant, definitely a plus.

“First time to try this place. I can't believe the wide array of food they serve. It comes to you hot, fresh and delicious!!! I had gotten a Groupon that I'm very thankful for!!! We spent less money here than we would at Taco Bell or McDonald's! If I lived over by it, I would literally eat here every day!!! I got fried catfish, the Cajun ranch fries and a small chicken salad. Good Lord I've NEVER had a salad THAT good before!!! And I'm 54 yo!! It has a ton of stuff in it!!! My husband got the same Cajun fried and a gyro that was amazing as well!!! I completely forgot to take pictures. But trust me, it's worth it! I can't believe they weren't more busy at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones dining in. The Texas Toast was pretty plain, I got the butt of the loaf so maybe that’s why. I don’t really eat slaw so I don’t know what that tastes like. The chicken was good and the sauce was nice. French fries were nice and crispy, had a good flavor to them. The sweet tea was pretty good, very sweet but what I was hoping for. My bacon burger was cooked too long, part of it was not edible because it was hard as a rock. This was my first time coming here and I don't plan on returning.“

“Lately, I've been discovering more places that sell fast food sandwiches, you've got Subway or Quiznos, Jimmy John's, and of course Firehouse Subs. This place is a special place because of the tradition that goes on around here. The theme is it depicts a firefighter doing his/her duties. Hence the name firehouse, I wouldn't be surprised if fire fighters come here to eat all the time.

Food: I got the Cajun chicken and the Italian sub, these are both phenomenal very rich tasting. And almost like, they put effort into making the sandwich. The price is actually affordable. I have posted pictures of the menu if you were to look.

Atmosphere: Like I said, it feels like you're a fire fighter when you eat here, it almost feels like home like you're safe. It wasn't too busy when I was here. If you buy something at firehouse subs, you can contribute to first responders.

Service: Obviously I wouldn't be skipping this, but the service was amazing. They make your food right every time piping hot. Always quick and efficient. No missing ingredients.“

“I saw a review on here about someone had the special BBQ Brisket Steakburger and decided I would try it but never got to do it until today and was surprised they still had it going on. LOVED IT!! The BBQ sauce is sweet yet tangy but not overpowering like many BBQ places. The brisket on top of the double steakburgers were plenty and each strip was really meaty and not loaded with a lot of fat like other BBQ places. The pickles and sweet onions on top were a kicker also as they really added to the flavor with every bite. I am glad I had a big hungry appetite though because that burger was more than enough for a meal especially the healthy helping of shoe string fries!! Well done also to the staff for the prompt service from the moment I walked in with a welcome to Freddy's and the friendly smile of the cashier and the thank you from the cook when I picked up my order at the service counter!! Impressive for a fast food operation, but I will admit that having good employees to pass on the right attitude when working is important and this crew made the grade on that and more!! Jake and I went Sunday and got that, we called in our order and the employee told us they dont normally mix and match on that deal, but ended up doing it for me. We got the fish sandwhich all the way and the phillybcheestake all the way and boy it was amazing. The fish sandwhich is huuuugee and is so good, and the Philly cheesestake was so good too. It was a little smaller than I thought, but still hot and fresh.
The deal, plus two drinks was less than $15.00! Great pricing!
All in all would recommend this place anyday, anytime!

“I don't know if the employees at Chick-fil-A have been threatened by upper management that their first born would be taken from them if they aren't polite and speak clearly to the customers. That statement even goes for the drive-thru. I know when I have pulled up to other drive-thru's, the employee sounds as though he or she is speaking into an empty 32 oz drinking cup with their back turns to the microphone. I haven't had that problem at any Chick-fil-As I have visited.“

I have always regarded Chick-fil-A as a company that sets the standard for exceptional customer service, which is why my experience at Chick-fil-A in McCalla was so disappointing.

About a year ago, Sydney, the Marketing Coordinator at the McCalla Chick-fil-A, graciously offered our church, Friendship Baptist Church, 59 cards for free chicken biscuits to use on our church trip to the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. Because we were still in the planning stages, I was told there was no time restriction and that I simply needed to call when our departure date was finalized.

When it came time for our trip, I contacted Sydney, who informed me she was no longer in that role but assured me the offer would still be honored. She referred me to April, the new marketing representative. April was very kind and told me she didn't anticipate any issues but needed to discuss it with the restaurant manager before confirming.

Unfortunately, after waiting several weeks without hearing back, I contacted April again and was told that management had decided they no longer provide those promotional cards. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. More importantly, our congregation—many of whom are senior citizens—was disappointed because I had already shared the good news that Chick-fil-A would be providing complimentary chicken biscuits for our trip.

Thankfully, this story has a much better ending.

I reached out to the Chick-fil-A at Midtown Plaza in Birmingham and spoke with Tucker, one of the managers. After hearing what had happened, Tucker immediately stepped in to help. Not only did he honor the original commitment by providing the 59 breakfast cards, but he also contacted the Chick-fil-A in Kentucky to ensure they would accept the cards when our group arrived.

Tucker demonstrated the level of customer service that has made Chick-fil-A's reputation so strong. His willingness to help restored our faith in the Chick-fil-A brand.

As a person of faith, this experience reminded me that God always has a ram in the bush. While one location was unable to keep its promise, God provided someone else who could. Thank you, Tucker, for your kindness, integrity, and willingness to serve our church family. You made a lasting impression on all of us.“
