“Typical Chic Fil A, The food is top tier but this location needs some serious updates, lots of disrepair in the dining area. The staff was on par but not the best we’ve ever had.
Parking: Tight parking lot that’s not the easiest to get to from the main roads.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, they have a play place at this location.

“First time to try this place. I can't believe the wide array of food they serve. It comes to you hot, fresh and delicious!!! I had gotten a Groupon that I'm very thankful for!!! We spent less money here than we would at Taco Bell or McDonald's! If I lived over by it, I would literally eat here every day!!! I got fried catfish, the Cajun ranch fries and a small chicken salad. Good Lord I've NEVER had a salad THAT good before!!! And I'm 54 yo!! It has a ton of stuff in it!!! My husband got the same Cajun fried and a gyro that was amazing as well!!! I completely forgot to take pictures. But trust me, it's worth it! I can't believe they weren't more busy at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones dining in. But a few people came in for to go orders.“

“I like Five Guys’ foods and service very much. I was so disappointed in the service today, though, that I feel compelled to write this in hope that the manager at the Fultondale location will see it. I went in to place an order, but noticed one employee was cooking food and there was no one at the register. As I walked to the register, I passed two employees seated at one table and another employee seated at a separate table. I stood at the register waiting, but no employee approached. The cook, who was quite busy, saw me and called to someone, but still no one came. One employee at a table rose and walked to the back of the room, so I thought she had gone back to go behind the counter, but she came back to her table having just gone to refill her cup. We made eye contact, so she knew I was waiting. But neither she nor the other two employees made any attempt to assist me. After another six minutes, with no acknowledgment at all from the three seated employees,I left. I won’t give up on Five Guys after one bad experience, but I hope the manager will see this write-up and use it as a teaching moment for today’s staff.“

“My husband and I ate 2 hamburgers and shared a fry. Food was delicious. I love the Milo's sauce. The hamburger buns are always toasted so nice. The fries have the cheese flavor and are so good dipped in Milo's sauce. The workers were so kind and friendly. It had a great atmosphere too. The other customers were happy and just generally nice people.“

“Green Acres is practically an institution at this point and for good reason. The food is amazing, the service is friendly (its not always quick, but the lines are crazy for a reason), and did i mention the food is amazing?
If you're ever in the birmingham metro, Green Acres is as necessary a stop as the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Gate Bridge. If you think I'm exaggerating, you just haven't had the food yet.“

“Depending on what you're ordering and what time you order it, it can be great. At 7:00 p.m., I ordered the dinner special -two piece chicken. Unfortunately for me, one piece of my chicken was so dry, I couldn't eat it. The other piece was so greasy, I could barely eat it. I ordered an apple pie and I got a strawberry cream cheese pie that had apparently been sitting there all day. My mashed potatoes without gravy and my green beans were fine. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I didn't really have the energy to take it back. I think my dog will be happy with the chicken that I couldn't eat. I think what time it is really does matter what time you order because I got the same order a few days ago early in the day and it was perfection. Lesson learned I guess. it's just the dinner special doesn't start till 7:00, so they had only been running it for an hour. the food was like it had been there all day. So disappointed. Won't be back for a while!“

“My family and I came to this area just a couple of hours ago and the cashier name Angelo was very friendly and professional to me and my family and wasn't rushing me to order and she has a beautiful smile Angelo was very specific and suggested other items for my order and the last thing she asked was that I need any dipping sauce for my order and that really lighten my day that she was very concerned about me and my family to get everything we need and that's great customer service and me and my family will be back very soon and also the food was great and the tea was amazing Angelo did a very great job she does need a raise with that wonderful caring customer services that's an A+ great job Angelo..smile on our faces“

“Stopped by for a quick lunch in the car. The young man taking my order rushed me a bit but I’m sure that it was to help the drive thru move along smoothly.
At the window I received a smile and great service from Tremayah. She confirmed my drink before handing it to me. I watched her recount my change before handing it to me to ensure accuracy, and asked me if I needed anything else.
My bag not only contained hot, fresh food but also the sauce I asked for (two of them!), napkins AND a straw. That’s all I ask for or expect with fast food. Tremayah was just an added bonus with her pleasant demeanor and work ethic“

“Family and I had some time to to explore Birmingham before our flight home so we drove aimlessly around and first stumbled across Gatos & Beans (I did a complete review on that wonderful location). Emily recommended Joyland for a bite to eat as her establishment mainly served coffee and snacks.
Oh my GOSH, what a positive, upbeat, and tasty experience.
Joyland primarily serves Breakfast, Burgers, Hotdogs, drinks (they also have an impressively stocked bar,) and desserts.
The atmosphere is upbeat, friendly and inclusive. It gives off more of an eatery vibe than bar.
The menu has Gluten Free, and Vegetarian options. (I didn’t ask about vegan, sorry). Their crinkle cut fries are GF, crispy, and tasty.
The Cashier/server who helped us was Garret, Jake the General Manager also helped keep our order super fast and smooth.
When I again visit Birmingham, Joyland is already on my list of things to do.

It was late night after a concert, but neither me or my cousin received the food that we ordered. It was Fresh and it was OK not seasoned well at all. The drinks were great. I just wish we would have gotten the food that we ordered that was disappointing but the customer service was great“

“I absolutely love coming to this Chick-fil-A in Gardendale. The facility is always spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is consistently incredible — but that’s something most of America already knows.
What really sets this location apart is the leadership team. They’re top-notch in every way: professional, kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. You can feel the positive culture the moment you walk in.
This is hands-down one of the best Chick-fil-A experiences anywhere. Gardendale is lucky to have this team!“

“My partner and I go camping at least once a season, and it’s become a soft tradition to pop by Whataburger for lunch on the way out.
We usually order/split the Western BBQ burger with an extra patty and sauce, cut and packaged in half, large fry and soda pop combo for around $12, and lemme tell ya, it’s SO satisfying!
Our food order is always right, hot, and served in a few moments (apx 3-5 mins ticket time) and they give you extra condiments guilt-free.
The registrars and even the people working in the back are courteous and helpful, and they keep a clean lobby.
I can’t wait for the next time we go camping, partly because we get to eat at Whataburger again!

“11/10 on the food! the wings are just crispy enough, a nice even split of flats and drumlettes, and are seasoned and sauced very well! if you are someone who enjoyed kings wings (rip), this is a very close rival, if not better tbh!!!
the cashier is very soft spoken but kind. my order was kind of confusing, but he made sure he understood what i wanted before my order was put in. what stands out to me about this wing joint is that they have a little condiment tray, with things like garlic pepper, lemon pepper etc. and will ask if you want extra seasoning as they bag your order. they also give you a side of celery, which i have noticed most fast-casual wing spots do not do. 5/5 for the food and service!
the only reason i rate the atmosphere at a 3/5 is because the venue is pretty nondescript. maroon tiled floors, mismatch chairs for waiting, kind of muted lighting, etc. what i do appreciate about the vibe is that it's reminiscent of a hole-in-the-wall pizza spot you would find near Fenway. all in all, i highly recommend Wing It, and plan on coming back! 🖤🍗🍟“

“Went to the drive thru in Qxford, ordered two turkey gyros. Got home my husband had some hair in his first bite. I lost my appetite, gave him the other sandwich. It was hairless.“

“I picked up my take out order. I told the staff I needed the strawberry shake. I was told a couple minutes later it was in the bag. I checked and I could see the top of the cup so I left. Got home and it was vanilla. My husband ordered the hot ones burger and there was a quarter size of sauce in the middle of the top bun. His burger was basically dry. My bacon burger was cooked too long, part of it was not edible because it was hard as a rock. This was my first time coming here and I don't plan on returning.“

“A hidden gem with delicious food. I had the cajun ranch fries and the catfish combo. It was fantastic. Smaller location, but spectacular food. There was a huge variety of things to eat, I had a hankering for catfish when I found this place. Crispy on the outside with a crumb batter and soft and juicy on the inside it was spot on. The fries where also cooked perfectly for the ranch coating and not getting soggy. Since I had both, I got to enjoy nice crispy fries with my combo and the coated fries. It would be hard to say which one was better. They were awesome as well. Great job. They were busy, so I was curious how it would turn out. Perfectly was the answer I found.“

“I tried to fill out the survey that is listed on the receipt, but it said the phone number is wrong… so I wanted to say just how nice the gentleman was in the drive through window. My bill was $3.07. I gave him $3 and I was digging in my pocketbook for the change I knew I had. I looked up and he was pulling his own personal change from his pocket. He was clearly intending to give me the 7¢ needed. He didn’t have to do that, but kindness is what I felt and I appreciated that. Little did he know I was taking my 86 yo father to have surgery on his eye. Anxiety and worry filled our car. He was a ray of sunshine and kindness. We/I needed that❤️.The receipt says a ladies name but it was a gentleman that made this expression.“

“Great customer service by the young man working when we came. The young man took our order asked if we wanted dessert after we finished our meal we said yes. We were handed our cups for drink sat down and was brought our order to table fast. Young man came and asked if we were ready for our dessert and brought it to us. “I’m still newish to Birmingham and just now trying Guthrie’s. I went shortly after they opened at 11. Their menu is limited but sometimes simple is best. Too many options can feel overwhelming.
I was greeted by Tierra. When I told her that it was my first time trying Guthrie’s, she smiled and confidently said “you’ll be back!”
When I tried my food once I got home… I can tell you that she is correct. It was still hot, very fresh and oh my word was it tasty! I got some of the Guthrie’s original sauce as well as some bbq sauce. It was ALL delicious“

The new layout of the parking lot is a bit weird, and the employees do their best and are all very polite, but you run the risk of becoming trapped in the drive thru if theres any kind of hold up ahead of you, bc theres no way to exit the lanes after you get into them due to the new parking lot layout.Recommend ordering on the app and picking up in store or getting curbside to avoid the drive thru, esp if you have anxiety or any agoraphobic tendencies related to driving“

“As a Birmingham native, I already had my own go-to wing spot like most people do.
But once I found out that Exotic Wings & Things were halal, I had to give them a try, and they instantly earned a spot at the top of my list. I ordered the 10-piece wing combo, half Nashville hot and half jerk chicken. Personally, I had never tried that combination before, but it completely changed my perspective. The flavors complemented each other perfectly. Paired with the Cajun ranch fries, which were clearly cooked fresh and seasoned just right, the entire meal was on point.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m only giving this place 5 stars because of how amazing Crystal (I hope I spelled that right) and the evening shift are every time we come. Her customer service and communication are always immaculate 10/10 every visit! I wish I could say the same for the manager who’s there mid-day. She always has an attitude, is constantly on her phone, and comes across as extremely rude. Honestly, I’d give this place negative 100 stars just for her. However, Crystal is wonderful, and I’d rather my review highlight the positive manager than the negative! When I mentioned writing a review in the car on the way home, my 9-year-old son said, “Make sure you write that even the kids love Ms. Crystal!” so that’s exactly what I’m doing!“

“I have been a Milos fan since I was a kid. We would go to the 1 in Roebuck after soccer games and the 1 in Irondale during the time there. Now in Cahaba Heights I can walk to the place. My Mother would get burgers to go back to Florida when they lived down south. Never ate a burger and fries that tasted bad.“

“One of the better Taco Bells in or around Birmingham. Food is always hot. And their service is impeccable 👌. Friendly and courteous. They ask if there's anything else that you need. And... I dont get asked to drive down from the window to help their timer--that's irritating.“
