“There’s a reason Haidilao has become so successful around the world. Even after establishing itself as a leader in the hot pot industry, they never seem to stop innovating. Every time I visit, there’s something new.
But what truly sets Haidilao apart from everyone else is the level of service. And it’s not something that can simply be described as “professional” or “friendly.” There’s a unique culture here that makes you feel like you’re coming home when you walk through the door — happy, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. Many restaurants can provide high-quality, professional service. But that feeling of being completely embraced by a warm, joyful atmosphere, and being genuinely looked after, is something I’ve only experienced at Haidilao.
Over time, I’ve come to remember the names of many of the staff here. But two people I especially want to remember and thank are the managers, Kid and Vivian.
I’ve seen them handle the restaurant under intense pressure and keep everything running efficiently and smoothly. I’ve also seen how they respond when unexpected problems arise — staying calm and flexible, communicating clearly, and finding ways to resolve the situation. They have an excellent eye for detail, strong judgment, and the ability to make good decisions in challenging moments.
And a special thank-you to Kid. To us, you’ve become much more than a restaurant manager — you feel like family. We’ll keep coming back, again and again. And I genuinely recommend that everyone experience Haidilao for themselves — not only for the food, but for the unique culture and warmth that make this restaurant truly one of a kind.”

Words cannot express how thankful Mike and I are for Bradley and his team for making our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding day perfect!
The venue is stunning with its beautiful architecture, its immaculate gardens, and blending indoor and outdoor areas so that every moment feels magical. The Wedding Ceremony outside was truly special over looking the pond and the water feature Whether we were enjoying cocktails outside or dancing the night away inside, the flow was effortless and the setting picture-perfect.
The food was incredible. They chose the wedding buffet Riverway Clubhouse offers, and we received lots of compliments from our guests. There was a lot of variety and can accommodate all food requests. The team was extremely helpful and friendly to us and all of their guests. They were even available at the end of the night to help us get our items in storage prior to leaving the venue and available the next day to support us on pick up.
Bradley, the venue coordinator was amazing. He was well-organized, kind, attentive, calm and accommodated their changing requests. We truly appreciated his availability and responding to our emails in a quick and efficient manner and allowing us to visit the location on several occasions.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that will wow you and your guests, this is it. Between the gorgeous setting, the exceptional food, and the once-in-a-lifetime support from Bradley and the team, we can honestly say our Son and Daughter-in-laws Wedding was pure magic!”

Wanted an upgrade/ substitute to the Supreme over the default Japanese pork loin katsu. The menu only showed a surcharge of $1 for the difference under the katsu varieties and yet we paid this $4.40 for extra (Special) sauce. This wasn't explained very well by the server. Just tell us in advance if we can't make this change to your special set menu. Apparently, you were clear that the Curry Special set could only be Shrimp Tempura and nothing else.”

The Wedding Ceremony outside was truly special over looking the pond and the water feature Whether we were enjoying cocktails outside or dancing the night away inside, the flow was effortless and the setting picture-perfect.
The food was incredible. They chose the wedding buffet Riverway Clubhouse offers, and we received lots of compliments from our guests. There was a lot of variety and can accommodate all food requests. The team was extremely helpful and friendly to us and all of their guests. They were even available at the end of the night to help us get our items in storage prior to leaving the venue and available the next day to support us on pick up.
Bradley, the venue coordinator was amazing. He was well-organized, kind, attentive, calm and accommodated their changing requests. We truly appreciated his availability and responding to our emails in a quick and efficient manner and allowing us to visit the location on several occasions.

Our Nemo-6-Special-Rolls (48pieces) tray is fabulously delicious, so does the other kind of Sushi, Oshi, we ordered, we like the acid-sweet balance and texture of their sushi rice; Nemo's Sashimi slices are some of the freshest and thickest cut compared to the other Japanese-sashimi class restaurants we tried; though we ordered 19-dishes for 12 guest, there was not much left that we pack as left over, a solid testimony of how much we enjoyed our food at Nemo.

The food has always been delicious and drinks are good too, but the service was horrendous for a larger group. It took forever to get any service, staff would make eye contact with us when we tried to wave them over, and then just ignore us. There were a lot of staff available just loitering around the bar area and did not come to our aid.
It took a very long time for us to get our bills, and when they finally took it they charged many of us twice or even thrice. Some of us tried to tell the waitress that the first transaction went through, but they insisted we pay again because they got an error on their end. Just a reminder to maybe check your bank statement after to make sure this didn’t happen to you. I don’t think it was on purpose, but still frustrating to deal with.

I came to Chibop after discovering their vegan ramyeon combo, and I was so excited to see a Korean restaurant with a dedicated plant-based section on the menu! 🌱💚 They even sell vegan kimchi — which honestly made my vegan heart very happy. 🥹
I ordered the combo with:
🍜 Ra-myeon — 100% plant-based broth with noodles, onions, and green onions.
🥢 Spinach Vegan Kimbap — spinach, cucumber, carrots, yellow pickled radish, bell peppers, burdock, and savory seasoned tofu.
At first, I wondered if I was being a little ambitious ordering both.
😂 But the fresh veggie kimbap was surprisingly light and easy to eat, and the ramen bowl looked a little smaller than I expected (compared to the photos 😉), so thankfully I was able to finish everything. 😋
Bonus points: they were playing K-pop songs while I enjoyed my meal. 🎶✨ A vegan Korean meal with K-pop in the background? Yes please. 😂

Aburi Sushi - we have tried a few, and the salmon oshi one remains my favorite. The spicy salmon shio was a very close second. We tried the Saba one as well, it was not my thing, but the rest of my taste loved it.
Rolls: we also tried their regular rolls, Dragon roll was delicious as well as the the Tokyo Roll.

“I almost walked past this place because the exterior looks a bit dated and the surrounding area isn’t particularly eye-catching. The dining room is also quite small and the interior could definitely use some updating. However, the high ratings convinced me to give it a try, and I’m glad I did.
I ordered the aburi sushi combo, a tamago nigiri, and a miso soup.
The miso soup was probably the weakest part of the meal. It tasted like a fairly standard instant-style miso soup with soft tofu and rehydrated seaweed. One small suggestion: the soup bowl I received was very heavily scratched from years of use. As I got further into the soup, it became difficult to tell whether the marks were simply wear or if the bowl wasn’t completely clean. Replacing some of the older bowls would improve the overall dining experience.
The real highlight was the aburi sushi combo. It took a little longer than expected to arrive, but once it did, I understood why. The presentation was beautiful, the variety was excellent, and the quality of the fish really stood out. Every piece had great flavor, the fish was fresh and nicely marbled, and the torching added a wonderful aroma. Considering the price, it’s honestly an outstanding value and something I’d definitely recommend ordering.
My only suggestion for the aburi sushi is that it was slightly oilier than necessary. It looked like the sushi was torched directly on the serving plate, leaving quite a bit of rendered fish oil underneath. The rice had already absorbed some of the oil from the fish, and then picked up even more from the plate. It wasn’t greasy enough to ruin the dish, but it did make the overall bite a little heavier. I think torching the sushi first and plating it afterward could help preserve the same great flavor while keeping the rice lighter.
The tamago nigiri was just okay. It tasted like the tamago had been refrigerated and reheated before serving, so it lacked the soft, freshly made texture I was hoping for. To be fair, I visited around 4 p.m. and I was the only customer, so I completely understand why they weren’t making fresh tamago at that time. It was a little disappointing, but not a dealbreaker.
The service was friendly and efficient. Nothing particularly exceptional, but definitely pleasant.
Overall, despite the dated interior, the quality of the sushi exceeded my expectations. With a few small improvements, this place could be even better. I’d happily come back again, especially for the aburi sushi combo.”

“Five of us had brunch here and really enjoyed it, ordering chicken salad, fried chicken with fries, two chicken paninis, and a banana waffle. Everything looked great and tasted delicious.
The only thing I would mention is that the fried chicken used thigh meat, so it was a bit firmer than breast , but overall we had a great brunch”

Pretty confused at first because the waiter told us to order from the tablet then told us to go to the buffet bar to get the rest. The tablet menu didn't have prawns but the buffet bar did. We weren't sure if there was extra charge.

“Service was excellent. Food, really good. We gad the mussels which were delicious and the sauce was fantastic. The only thing i would change is the focaccia bread. It seemed like regular toast rather than actual focaccia. Wife had the bolognese and i had the carbonara. Both really tasty. Everything was perfect but like mentioned, focaccia needs am upgrade.”

“Feijoada was packed with flavor, genuinely impressive, and as a Brazilian I can say it tasted like the real deal. Also tried the açaí and orange juice, both fresh and well made. “If you're looking for amazing Chinese-style fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit! The chicken is marinated incredibly well, so every bite is packed with flavor. It's juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned all the way through.
We also tried the chicken sandwitch and fries, and they were just as impressive. The chicken fillet inside the burger was extra crispy on the outside while staying moist and tender inside. The chicken strips had the same satisfying crunch, and the fries were freshly cooked, crispy, and well-seasoned.
The portion sizes are very generous, making it excellent value for the price. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they put real care into preparing the food instead of just relying on heavy seasoning or sauces.
If this restaurant ever opened a location in Richmond, I honestly think it would give many local fried chicken places some serious competition. It's one of the best fried chicken meals I've had in a long time, and I would definitely come back. Highly recommended!”

Our Nemo-6-Special-Rolls (48pieces) tray is fabulously delicious, so does the other kind of Sushi, Oshi, we ordered, we like the acid-sweet balance and texture of their sushi rice; Nemo's Sashimi slices are some of the freshest and thickest cut compared to the other Japanese-sashimi class restaurants we tried; though we ordered 19-dishes for 12 guest, there was not much left that we pack as left over, a solid testimony of how much we enjoyed our food at Nemo.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.
My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.
This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩”

The atmosphere when I walked in was well decorated with country flags at the front representing fifa world cup. Also the whole place is decorated with different varietys of Japanese culture. The music playing was also perfect volume.
The service is quick, and they gave us a thing where if we went there four times, we get a free side i think.
The food is phenomenal, the Ramen is perfectly salty, and flavor. I recommend getting chefs recommendations because chefs got taste like that. The pork belly is so soft it is like pull apart type. There are also vegetarian options that taste great too.
I highly recommend this spot to tourist or anyone who wants good Ramen in Vancouver.”
