“Just had lunch today and while the food was pretty good, I can’t say much for our server. It would appear that she has decided that everyone she waits on must pay her a tip. We had left the restaurant and walking to our car when she followed us outside and questioned about her service. What she was inquiring about was her tip that she felt she was entitled to! After informing her the tip was on the table she immediately turned around and left without offering a thank you. What the hell?“

“Sushi Monster is my go-to spot for sushi takeout! The service is always friendly, the prices are fantastic, and the food is consistent - average and good quality for what you pay. Tip: make sure to call a few hours ahead to schedule your pickup, especially during busy times, as walk-ins may face long wait times. A solid choice for delicious and affordable sushi to take home and enjoy with friends and family.“

“Came here with some friends after they recommended we come here. I had never had proper Katsu or have had an experience eating Katsu but let me tell you. This is probably one of my favourite restaurants in Langley now. I ordered the Ebi Katsu and I loved it. Everything is boiling hot and fresh as ever. They provide you with rice and Dashi soup and it’s fabulous. Trying to convince the boyfriend to come with me as I just can’t stop thinking about this. Definitely a food you can eat all year long, but I assume this will hit differently in the fall/winter months“

“Of all the sushi restaurants out here I'm so glad we gave Sushi Musa a try because it's now one of our favorite! The hand rolls are simply the best I've had in years. Loved every single dish we ordered, they were undeniably made with love and passion given the fresh ingredients and presentation. We will be back soon for more!“

“A wonderful surprise in Langley! We were driving around Lani looking for lunch and stumbled upon this cozy little Japanese restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like we had entered a true local spot run by Japanese owners. The attention to detail in the presentation, flavors, and hospitality speaks volumes.
We ordered two bento boxes — everything was freshly made, with crispy tempura, tender teriyaki chicken, spring rolls, fresh salad, and neatly rolled sushi. The miso soup was rich and comforting, and the agedashi tofu had a perfect golden crust with a flavorful dipping sauce.
If you’re looking for a solid and authentic Japanese lunch in Langley, Akane is a must-visit. We’ll definitely come back!
📸 Pro Tip: Sit down and take your time — it’s the kind of place that reminds you to slow down and enjoy your meal.“

“This was the first time I went to sushi hinder in a long time, but I forgot how good it is! Menu is vast! We had edamame, sushi mango roll and some udon soups, which were all fantastic, fresh and delicious! Prices were quite reasonable. It’s a small location, but finding a seat was no problem on a Saturday night!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!“

“Solid Japanese spot reminds me of places you’d eat at in Japan. Good prices great value
I got the yummy box which was a great value at 13.50 CAD. M’lady is vegan and she got the veggie udon and she says it is a flavorful portion with very tasty noodles“

“Came in on a Sunday morning right when they opened at 1130 as a party of 8. This wasn't all the food we ordered, but at least 50% of it and I must say, the sushi was really good and tasted fresh, the tempura had a nice batter to it and the chicken yakisoba had a good balance of veggies and noodles.
The staff were very nice and the food came out within a decent amount of time.
The price for the lunch bentos ranged $21-30, and the choose your own items was $21 (3 items) - $24 (4 items) and the sushi combos were about $18-21, but the amount of food you get was A LOT! So I'd say for the amount and quality, it's worth the price tag.
I would definitely come here again.“

“I placed a very large order with a complicated request on packing it all (so our pick up and distribution was easier). The food was absolutely fantastic! It was fresh and pretty in design, and absolutely spot on fullfilled my packing requests. They even provided complimentary items in appreciation <3 The owners were such lovely people and gave a very personal touch to the order. I absolutely recommend Togo Plus in Brookswood. I will use them for all of our sushi orders from now on. * 6 stars for Togo :)“

“This place has been around forever and I popped for a vegetarian lunch. The sushi presentation was adorable. There are a million sushi places with the exact same looking plates, but this was the first time I had my sushi presented in a cute little flower. It tasted great as well. The salad was super colourful and delicious and I even ate the little lemons and enjoyed them. Excited to come back and have another cute little tasty meal.(The server was absolutely lovely, but she took the order of a person who was seated at a table after me and there was a few minute delay in taking my order with only bothered my because I was starving and a bit hangry lol)“

“I usually like this Japanese restaurant, I have introduced this to my friends, students, family and friends. I tried their sashimi salad and boy am I disappointed. I ask the server if it’s a Japanese recipe or Korean recipe, it tasted and smelled like kimchi. I like kimchi but I’m in a Japanese restaurant so I am expecting a Japanese cuisine. The sashimi salad doesn’t taste good at all it even has a bitter taste on it. When I mentioned it to the server she didn’t say anything, I felt ignored. In spite of that I will still eat there ( but will never try again their sashimi salad, not recommended needs to change their dressing) because I love their chicken teriyaki and their deluxe tempura. I also find them not that expensive.“

“We ordered grilled salmon and chicken teriyaki lunch boxes. Typically salmon would be more expensive at other places but they cost the same amount at Hitori. The service was excellent and the meals were delicious! What really stood out was the artful presentation of the dishes. Unlike other places where lunch boxes usually come in a plastic tray, they served them on a fancy plate. Each item was nicely decorated. You can tell the chef here really loves the meals s/he creates. Come check out Hitori if you're ever in the area.“

“Best Japanese restaurant in Port Coquitlam. My colleagues and I come here for lunch. Good food, friendly staff. Only con is sometimes the wait for your food can be long if it's busy.“
