“This place is a MUST try! We went for dinner tonight and the food had so much flavour, presented well and service was on point. Lynn was attentive and made the experience memorable. My husband had the braised beef and I had the wild mushroom ravioli. Portions were generous and meat was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, eclectic and warm ambiance paired with amazing food. 5 stars!🙌“

“My wife and I have been to the boathouse numerous times, always enjoyed the meals and service is excellent. We were there for Valentine’s Day dinner and chose the set menu which was perfect , steak and lobster . We also ordered the appetizer calamari which was a big disappointment. There was very little calamari mostly zucchini, carrots, onions I just wanted calamari!It was listed with all those items on the menu but it is supposed to be a calamari appy.I did mention our disappointment to the waitress , she said she would tell the manager weather she did or not we don’t know as we were never approached by management .
Update , not sure how to respond to managers response .Judging by the managers response seems as he didn’t even read my review , I was unhappy with the lack of calamari for the inflated

“My wife and I wanted to make the drive for some Pajo's. We expected to arrive 45 mins before closing, unfortunately with traffic, parking and paying for parking we arrived 22 minutes before closing. The staff was very understanding and very quickly made us $96 worth of food to go in 15 minutes and we were on our way. Excellent service and the food was delicious.“

“UPDATE : OCTOBER 17 /25 I thought I’d give an updated review of this place that I’ve been coming for years. The staff and the owner are always spot on fantastic. The food is always incredible one of the best Indian cuisines and all of the lower mainland.

If you have not tried this place do yourself a favour and visit you will not be disappointed! There is a reason why I drive all the way from Brentwood Burnaby area over and over again lol

“Very nice place! We were seated immediately by our server Fanny she was very friendly!
We ordered some spring rolls a chicken and rice dish with mixed vegetables sweet and sour spareribs and some very tasty hot and sour soup !
Our order came within like 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. We couldn't finish the soup and I ate it for 2 meals later that week. Price was very reasonable $45.89!! can't beat the price and I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants and chinese tea is always usually free!
So I would recommend you try this place you won't be disappointed !“

“Whenever I get a proper craving for fish and chips, Cockney Kings Fish & Chips is my default setting. They run daily specials, and while I occasionally go full treat-yourself with the halibut, my usual order is the cod two-piece plus calamari, which I split with my partner. Reliable, classic and zero regrets.

The service is genuinely lovely. At lunch today they automatically split the cod onto two plates and brought them out separately without even having to ask. That kind of attention and service tends to stick.

The ambiance leans diner rather than destination restaurant, but it's cozy in the way diners are supposed to be: comfortable, unfussy, and staffed by people who seem happy you're there. Cockney Kings in New West wins you over with warmth, consistency, and very solid fish and chips.

“I’ve been coming to Sanjo Sushi for a while and the sushi quality is always really fresh. I’ve dined in and tried their teishoku, which was very good and nicely put together.

Their lunch bentos are one of my favourites. They are great value and very satisfying. I’ve also tried Sushi Well next door, but honestly it wasn’t as good as Sanjo in terms of freshness and overall quality.

My only wish is that they offered a dinner bento for takeout, since I don’t always have time to dine in. Other than that, it’s a solid spot that I keep coming back to.“

“chicken kebab was raw. prawns were not cooked. when I returned the food and asked for refund I was refused, even though the chef agreed the food was raw. if my family gets sick I will be revisiting the issue. I have reported Chef Kebab to the health inspection agency for this blatent refusal to deal with a health issue I will let everyone I know including govt authorities that I was not treated with respect and if my family gets sick.... that's a different issue“

“This was phenomenal. I have arrived from Toronto, Canada. I love the Toronto Maple Leafs but holy moly this was delicious and outstanding quality and service. Quantity was so much, I have taken it home with me. I would like to thank the entire family for their hospitality, love and passion. They have outdone themselves with their product and service. They have shut down the competition and I highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant once, twice and trice. I love the Gumber family and would like to congratulate them on their success.

“Been coming here since their grand opening in 90s. I went there as a young kid in high school and still go there now. They literally watched me grow up and our family constantly go there almost every week for a take out or dine in. Prices were uber cheap with plenty of lunch specials that were giant proportions, but now as with all other restaurants prices have gone up. Their sets used to be around $30 for 3 entrees plus a free soup, rice and a free crab. Yes we are talking the 90s and my family of 3 can eat for 3 - 4 days as leftovers. But I still go there out of loyalty and remembered tastes and food is same as before. I took 1 star off the food because I think the food has gone a bit bland...is it my old age taste buds or did they change chefs?“

Not disappointed! Grabbed the all-you-can-eat deal for CAD20.99 complete with unlimited soda.
The fish was superbly fresh with just enough batter. Chips were great too!

Have been there for dim sum lunches and everything is fantastic from the ha gow, chicken feet to their rice bowls.

But it's there dinner menu that really shines.
I highly recommend:
Lobster and Glutinous Rice steamed in leaves
Crab and Fish Maw Soup (Thick and Juicy)
Pea Tips (Glistening from the wok)
Baked Custard Pudding (for Dessert; must be ordered in advance .. but it's to die for!)

The flavor and texture was perfect and I would come back just for it. The rice wrap was my 2nd favorite item I had. The rest of the food was good but not wow good.

The staff were good over all we had a few items we ordered missed and some stuff added that we did not order. The extra items they noticed before we did and confirmed was a mistake and corrected it. This was impressive missing 2 items we ordered was not so much (we were not charged).
