The salmon donburi was fresh and generous, and the miso soup felt like exactly what I needed after a long week. Staff were genuinely warm, checked in without hovering, and even gave a quick recommendation when I couldn't decide on tea. Parking was easy right out front and the place had a calm, sunlit vibe that made it perfect for a slow start to the day.“

The staff was friendly. It is a small restaurant with limited tables but we were able to sit at the bar today. Just note the cellular signal is not good here so you’ll have to connect to the store wifi to get service. But not a big deal for us.“

They are large and fresh Everytime i come. They got combos and 6-8 rolls for $6.00 a round. Or full boxes for 13.95. Absolutely amazing and a must try. “I had the most amazing experience here! Nagoya is a bit of a hole in the wall and we stumbled upon it when looking through sushi places in the area.

Everything we ate was fantastic and had great flavour. The value was also unbeatable. The spicy chicken karage was delicious, the yam tempura had a great spice to the batter, and the rolls and donburi were elevated compared to your average sushi joint.

The family feel of the staff and ownership was palpable and really shines through in the service and the care put into the food.

“Delicious! Sushi at a simple understated restaurant. Nice presentation, good portion, sizes, and great prices. The futamaki fat rolls were fantastic and so was the tempura. Hand rolls are more like a taco than a cone, and the tempura looks different but it is delicious. Everything was fresh and had balanced seasoning and flavors. Friendly people with good service. Parking out front and also the street behind and a park close by.“

Whatever has changed since last year I personally found the sushi well made the miso soup nice and hot with good flavor. The roll was fresh with perfect texture and surprisingly good flavoring as well. “This restaurant has been around for a long time and it is an absolute hidden gem of the area. Their speciality is 회덮밥 (Hwe Deop Bab). It's like korean chirashi rice bowl. Only downside of this restaurant is that it is very small. It has I think 6-8 tables only so if you are a large group or visiting at a busy time you may want to just take out or call ahead to see if they are busy. Free parking available at underground parkade.“

“I often order from Sushi S on Uber Eats, and I really like the food. The appearance of the food is really pleasing to look at, and I would recommend you trying the Awesome Maki Roll. It’s basically just a California roll with seared salmon and top and very thin crispy yam strips. Overall, the food is outstanding and is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Burnaby. Highly recommend trying!“
