More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“

Vancouver’s best breakfast sandwiches and possibly the world’s best ricotta pancakes - they’re to die for. And in the evenings Hunnybee puts on taco and wood fired-pizza nights with a lively atmosphere. Small wonder that the place has a dedicated customer base.“

“Had a wonderful birthday dinner here at Haidilao west Broadway.

Meat was delicious, we mainly had beef and lamb. The noodle dance was so funny to watch, would recommend. Sauce and snack bar has pretty good selection.

Service is absolutely exceptional, they are very attentive and will make sure you have a good time. I mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday and they brought out a little cake with singing and a crown, very fun.

They have a happy hour after 9pm where you can choose 1 of 2 discount types, a certain dish or the whole menu. They are open so late, so it was nice to come here after watching the sunset at Kitsilano. Don't forget to try saying some secret phrases :)“

“We've done takeout a number of times and we have been extremely happy with all our orders. Our usuals are salmon sashimi, chopped scallop roll, dynamite roll, and salmon maki. Sashimi is always fresh, firm, and tender (never those tough scrap pieces). Rice is really good and never mushy nor dry.

“One of my favourite milk tea places in Vancouver. The quality of the tea is good, plus if you get the fruit drinks, they use real fruit. Boba quality is good too. This time I got brown sugar milk tea, lychee jade tea with aloe, and fruit tea. As always, this place never failed me. Dibs: buy 3 drinks, you get free playing cards.

“I love this restaurant and have been coming here for years for breakfast, lunch or dinners. Food and service is good and most important is atmosphere is lively with music in background and euro decor. I was born in Argentina and reminds me of the many typical cozy European cafes there. 😀🌸“

“A great local spot, slightly off the beaten path.

Coffee and teas are great. The food I have tried is great, too.

They have some great service staff, quick, polite, and warm.

I love the little touches around the small shop. Photos of dog visitors is a great reason to keep coming back. They have a human accessible jar of treats inside the door for you to grab for your pooch.

Lots of cute merch too!

The staff were friendly and have good recommendations for portion sizes.
The pizza was good, we tried the pesto one with ricotta and loved how light it was. The ricotta was refreshing too. We also had the garlic bread which was disappointing though. It was more of a lightly garliced pizza than cheesy garlic bread.“

“We had our wedding reception here, let me start off by saying the manager/owner was so sweet, she and her husband were so quick to confirm that we could hold our wedding here. She offered to create a sign for outside the restaurant, always quickly responded to any questions or concerns. They also ordered just for our event extra tables and chairs. The employees/waiters/waitresses here are so sweet and attentive, and for their first experience doing a wedding, I was impressed with how well they adapted to the chaos of at capacity customers and crowds. The magic of the day can not happen without the people behind the scenes hustling to make it special. Waffleland cafe is so beautiful and a sweet gem in the heart of Gastown, we are so lucky to be the first wedding and I just know there will be more. Cute, whimsical, romantic decor made it so easy to add little bits to customize it to our celestial/forest. Thought it was just a normal pub and did not expect this place to be so large with multiple storeys.

I love this place. They have been excellent hosting events for fundraisers, parties and more. But the other night put the sourest of tastes in our mouths.

There were multiple tables still sitting in the bar, and one server was insistent that our group, having just come from the sauna experience (also incredible), "skidaddle". She was drunk herself, and one of the rudest people I have ever met in the industry.“
