“Finally got here. Nothing but good things. Place was swamped. Still got seated within 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and on top of it all! Food came fast, hot, and delicious. Definitely be back and highly recommend.“

“I had high hopes for this restaurant. Everyone has been talking about it!! It didn't disappoint in a lot of ways. Butter beef was delicious(amazing), beef luc lac was really good as well (but not amazing), two kind of dry noodle??(forgot the exact name but this was just okay to mediocre imo)
And people were going nuts over the wings but they were just okay. I forgot but had better wings(similar style too!!) In Ontario(I wanna say somewhere in marhkam)

I am tempted to try again few more times to explorer to see if there are other dishes that would amaze me. If I can find one more like that, definitely 5 stars.“

“We live in North Shore and are regulars at Wooden Fish and this is our first time at Pho and Roll. Very impressed with their food and atmosphere. More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“

“We had the BEST feed last night from Ongba. Coming home from our Fringe run we were too tired to cook - and boy am I glad. The portions were generous, the rolls on the Banh Mi were so fresh, loved all the pickled bits and curry mayo...the Prawn Salad rolls with dipping sauce were huge and tasty...it was exactly what we wanted. The guy on the phone made double sure he had our order correct which I appreicated. Such a cute place (with patio) but we got takeout so nobody had to watch us gobble it down like animals. Great to take to the beach too. 😋 Highly recommend!“

“This place reminds me of a bowl of Pho in Vietnam eg. “Pho Le” Simplistic and authentic. I’ve had everything from Cafe Dang Ang to Pho Duy, and this spot is my favourite alongside Linh Cafe which has a richer broth.

The side condiments are fresh and the beef they use for their Pho Tai is tender and adds a beefiness when cooked in the hot broth.

Their spring rolls are made using Rice Paper and are one of the best in the city. (I personally like the Hanoi style from Cafe Dang Anh)

Pho Tan is famous for their Satay Beef Pho #19 but their entire menu is delicious.

The service is also exceptional, very warm and attentive. They always check up on you.“

Their banhmi was delicious, definitely one of the best ive had. Not sure about authenticity but the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the bread was great. “After seeing some great reviews here, I was hoping for some good Vietnamese food. We ordered the House Special Pho, Banh Xeo, and Beef Stew. The pho was okay, and I appreciated that the soup wasn’t sweet like some other pho I’ve tried in Vancouver. The Banh Xeo was pretty good; I liked that it came with plenty of vegetables and was perfectly crispy.

As for the beef stew, it was my first time trying Vietnamese-style beef stew. It had a slight curry-like flavor and lacked a bit of the "kick", but I still enjoyed it with the accompanying baguette.

Overall, I liked that the food wasn’t salty or heavily seasoned. I also appreciated the young staff member, who seemed to be the owner, for consistently checking on our table throughout the meal“

The baguette was amazing, the meatballs were savory with authentic Vietnamese toppings and I love that they used Vietnamese Banh Mi. Bun Bo Hue was good but nothing out of this world, I still think you can get a more authentic taste elsewhere. I ordered their Rare Beef Pho through Doordash and it was tasty. However, the order wasn’t packed carefully so the soup leaked out. Overall, this is a decent place, they just need to improve on packing to-go orders tho.“

While the noodles were satisfactory, the soup was simply extraordinary. The fried chicken wings were the standout dish. “I had an incredible meal at merci beaucoup cafe! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside—so flavorful and addictive. For the main course, I tried the curry beef brisket with pho noodles, and it was absolutely fantastic. The beef was tender and the curry had just the right amount of richness and spice. I would call the food "above average". I like the food, just have had a bit better a couple times elsewhere (sadly not in this area). But service is always quick, and friendly. Price is reasonable.“

“I've been coming here for about 10 years and I've never been disappointed. Their 3 meat on rice with an egg is my always go to dish but you can't go wrong with anything you order here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like family. It's a family run and owned business that serves up authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Must try place that is also on doordash.

Parking: there is a parking lot and direct access from the back as well as being surround by residential streets and Victoria. Sometimes you have you park a bit further into residential but the walk isn't that bad.

“Food is yummy however inside space a bit narrow. There are only 9 items on the menu which is the downside. Everything is a bit spicy, even the fried rice. But food tastes great! Price on the high point, a regular bowl of pho is $19.5. With above concerns even their food is yummy I won’t revisit though.“
