I got the rice plate with lemongrass chicken and pork chop. The chicken was amazing, great char and flavor. Super tender with crispy fat and skin. The pork chop wasn’t as good, being a bit thin and dryer, but the meat around the bone was scrumptious. The plate was a very nice size for me, I’d even say the perfect amount. The rice was also really tasty and had a distinct flavour from other rice I’ve eaten at East Asian restaurants. Also the playlist and overall ambience was great. Felt comfortable in there.

“We ate at this place several times over the course of five days during our trip to Vancouver, and we were really happy with it. The food was always well-prepared and delicious. Everything looked fresh and nicely presented. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the quality.

The service was consistently good, and the atmosphere was bright, clean, and welcoming — clearly recently renovated. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated.

One of our favorite things was how convenient everything was: you can help yourself to as much soy sauce as you need, refill your water on your own, and just feel comfortable. And don’t even get me started on the ice cream — absolutely delicious!

All in all, we were very satisfied with this place. It’s honestly a bit sad to be leaving Vancouver and not having it nearby anymore!“

“As I was looking for something different while visiting here in Vancouver, I ran across Cambie Vietnamese Restaurant yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. My lunch special was 2 porkchops, with 2 crispy spring rolls, salad, and rice. Additionally I ordered a mago shake/smoothie. All the food was excellent and prepared perfectly. Service was prompt and friendly and the restaurant has a warm and pleasant atmosphere. There is also outdoor seating available.
I returned this evening and enjoyed crispy spring rolls and fried calamari rings. If you ever had to chew tough calamari then this was NOT the case. My calamari was tender and tasty!
My conversation with one of the owners, Winston, was relaxed and friendly, confirming to me that this family restaurant should be highly recommended. I will be back when I visit Vancouver again!“

“Another Kingsway classic. I use to drive all the way here from North Burnaby late nights to come eat the Pho Ga. ( big chunks of free range chicken )They open quite late. Only east van still has late Pho joints. Came back here for the first time after 2 yrs of traveling abroad. Same taste and flavours. Seems like they cut back a little on the portion size but shrinkflation is real in Vancouver! They have been feeding the community for a while now and the tables were all full when we visited on a weekend. We will be back soon whenever we are in the area“

“We enjoyed a lovely date night here a couple weeks ago. We came in on a Saturday night and did not make a booking beforehand as walk ins are welcomed. I would definitely recommend booking in advance for the weekends, though there’s a fee that goes to charity - so worth the investment.

Service was warm and friendly. We were seated close to the entrance with a view of both the bar and the outside. The exterior is great for a social hangout with a group of friends.

The food was every bit as delicious as advertised.
The frog legs were a prime draw to the restaurant and they did not disappoint. They had some of the best mussels we’ve had in a while too.

“I've been coming here for about 10 years and I've never been disappointed. Their 3 meat on rice with an egg is my always go to dish but you can't go wrong with anything you order here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like family. It's a family run and owned business that serves up authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Must try place that is also on doordash.

Parking: there is a parking lot and direct access from the back as well as being surround by residential streets and Victoria. Sometimes you have you park a bit further into residential but the walk isn't that bad.

We had the most amazing experience at La Chuoi Cuisine! I went with my best friend for her birthday, and from start to finish, everything was perfect. We ordered the Banh Xeo, Spring Rolls, and Chicken Pho — and wow, every single dish was bursting with authentic Vietnamese flavors. Fresh, flavourful, and made with so much care.

Harry and his brother Jerry are incredible hosts — warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food. You can feel their pride in every dish, and it truly makes the dining experience special.
