“This is the best Kinder's I've ever been to as far as food quality and selection go. I had the pulled pork protein bowl. It was what I expected except for one thing - the pulled pork was in large pieces without any fat trimmed from it. I nearly threw up when I started chewing on a large piece that was 85% fat. Ewwww - (note to Kinder's - try to shred the meat into smaller bites and please trim the fat!)My husband got the stuffed sourdough loaf with beef. He's a pretty big eater - especially when it comes to his all time fave - red blooded American beef. This particular sandwich got the upper hand on him though. He marveled at the piles and piles of beef stuffed into the loaf of French bread and wondered how it could possibly be priced the same as my protein bowl when he was clearly getting 4 times as much meat. It took him three days to finish that sandwich. So, if you're starving, this is the entree for youService was EXTREMELY slow, even though there was an ample amount of employees working. Their lack of customer service skills was less disconcerting than their speed. And they were no more crowded than usual. I had to wait 10 minutes before my order was taken and probably 15 minutes for the order to be ready. I find that to be unacceptable for a sandwich shop.“
“My coworkers and I decided to celebrate my birthday at Assemble Kitchen during our lunch break and it was a decision we didn't regret. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly, with a special mention to all the bilingual staff who went above and beyond to make our lunch memorable. Their thoughtful gesture of presenting a beautiful cake and singing happy birthday truly touched my heart.I opted for the chicken pot pie, and it was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor. My coworkers also enjoyed their meals immensely, each dish being a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. ? ?? The restaurant's spacious, open layout exuded a trendy warehouse vibe, adding to the overall dining experience.I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Assemble Kitchen to explore more of their enticing menu offerings. If you're searching for a place with exceptional food, welcoming service, and a unique ambiance, look no further than Assemble Kitchen. It's the perfect destination for any celebration or casual dining experience.- Gracias por su amable servicio ❤️“
“Great food againHaving been here not long post Covid, and just popped across again today whilst in San Jose as we remembered how good it was, can certainly say consistently good is a themeJohnnies fries and burgers / sandwiches are just 11/10And the patio is now covered! Which seems handy given the recent rainfall the last few days“
“The food at Horn Barbecue was to die for. And the service was really great. I preferred going when Matt Horn was around because he's the Founder and really takes time to make sure you're comfortable. I saw a post that shared unfortunate news here, so I pray they recover: zenniereport.com/2023/11…“
“Wonderful experience and delicious food! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We were a big group and they took the time to explain dishes and make suggestions. The dumplings, rice rolls and beef cheek were incredible. All dishes were very very good. Dessert was also very good.We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, when we ordered dessert they bought out a candle and sung happy birthday, which was a nice touch. We were eating late and so missed on a couple of specials, this was a shame as we hadn’t realised they had limited dishes left.I would come back here and definitely recommend it.“
“The roasted meat is exquisite, the portion of the set meal is sufficient, and there is a dedicated person at the table to serve. The waiter is professional and will explain carefully how to prepare the meat, and will always pay attention to the dining situation. The disadvantage is that my little stomach can’t eat more food ?I highly recommend everyone to come here and 100% will come back.“
“Filipino Style Bahn MiI was delighted to find that the atchara was satisfyingly sour as one would expect it to be. It balanced out the sweet and salty bbq chicken with a healthy dose of cilantro. The pork belly sigsig fries were phenomenal. A bite of crispy pork belly with every bite.Ample parking, wonderful people, and they've put up a very nice patio with heaters and roof to keep the rain off. Great seating area for that after work beer.“
“Holy crap. This place is absolutely a 10 out of 10. PROPER BBQ! Reasonable prices. Honestly I'm shocked it didn't have a line out the door. I'm sure it will soon. We just stumbled upon it by chance and we will definitely be back!“
“we had the mung bean pancake, veggie soft tofu stew, & veggie dolsot with purple rice. everything was sooo delicious, including all the banchan/side dishes. we had such a wonderful, comforting meal here & sincerely appreciate the vegan labels on the menu – thank you so much Purple Rice! ??✨“
“This place surprised me! My first impression is that the food on the menu looks a bit pricey and not so authentic but as the actual food keeps coming, it is quite a good portion and it is piping hot! The flavor is there and we quite enjoy the meal! The highlights for me are the popcorn chicken and the egg yolk lava bun. The fact that they are served hot and have the right texture (crispy, soft) already won more than half way. The chicken is well seasoned and the bun is not too sweet. Basically, this is a good place to try and there are many more on the menu.“
“Ordered BBQ catering for a Christmas party. Everything was amazing, on time, great communication and easy. I paid via invoice, and then just showed up to pick up everything. Would order again! Brisket, chicken, and mac and cheese were all delicious.“
“Okay I only stopped in a few shots and a couple glasses of wine deep for a slice of pizza late night but honestly that slice hit so hard, delicious with a nice oily gristle to it and the perfect size to fold in half and go to town. The guys working here were friendly too. Thanks “
“HUGE portions and quiet ambiance. The restaurant is usually moderately empty (at least every time I have been there) so service is quite fast. I know Don Blanc does not have the trendy/hip factor that Oghane provides, but I have always had a great time dining in.Restaurant layout is very standard Korean BBQ - with large tables and grills in the middle. Some of the tables have a large cast iron grill that's reminiscent of cooking on a large rock, which is kind of fun. We always get either the Beef Set A bbq or the Pork Set B bbq, so cannot speak to the other menu items. The side dishes (banchan) that role out are so delightful--particularly the steamed egg (reminds me of my mom's cooking). As far as quantity of meat--you will not be disappointed. I have always returned home with leftovers.Eventually I will order the traditional bbq intestines, but I have not had to courage to do so yet...Parking can be quite tricky especially on weekends because everyone is fighting to get a spot for either Moo Bong Ri/Koryo Sushi/Jaguar Karaoke. I appreciate the security guard who works there because he sometimes provides valet-esque type services and allows people to double park cars or park unmarked areas. I have also always been able to find street parking.Overall, if you ride up to Moo Bong Ri and find that the wait time is just too long and you are just too hungry, I suggest you pop over to Don Blanc. You will not be disappointed.“
“My girlfriend and I love to eat here after an event around San Francisco. This is our second time and the bulgolgi with rice is delicious ? sometimes we eat at AYCE KKBQ, but they are closed by 10-11pm, so we hit up the ZZAN Korean Restaurant. Also, the prices are fair. For a couple eating together, the total price for us was $45! Compared to AYCE KKBQ, you save an extra $30!“
“I did catering here and I'm glad that they open early on a Saturday as well as their online system, was smooth convenient to use. Kalua pork was too dry. If I knew, I would have opted for either crispy shrimp or chicken katsu. I wished that they had pork katsu so I would have ordered pork katsu and get a variety of chicken, beef and pork. BBQ chicken was nicely flavored and tender as well as their BBQ short ribs. They tried to be healthy with cabbage on the bottom and broccoli on each corner. I ate the veggies with the abundant meat. Macaroni salad was on point. Spam musubi and lumpias were added and nice starters. Portions are generous.Recommended spot - especially when feeding a village party!“
“I ordered brisket, ribs and potato salad for delivery to my home for a birthday party. LaTisha was prompt and thorough in responding to all my online questions and she delivered the food on time. The presentation was beautiful and the quality was superb. Many guests commented that the brisket was exceptional. Several guests asked where the food was from - I expect SmOakRing BBQ has won some new customers. 5 stars.“
“I came here for early dinner while waiting for my phone to be repaired nearby. While the food was ok, I wanted to commend the up front person with being a decent guy. I got a special of beef with rice and some vegetables plus a juice. My total was around 16$ and while it says they take credit cards on the window, he told me they weren't working today. I only had 7$ in cash on me and was ready to leave but he told me that fine. So thank you.“
“The food is delicious. We always get a takeout, and the only thing that bothers us is the occasional lack of consistency. We are used to bento boxes containing decent portions of meat, noodles, rice, and salad, but sometimes the portions are much smaller, to the point my husband is still hungry afterward... The price has been the same for the bigger portions as for the smaller ones, so naturally, we are disappointed to receive less food...“
“The food is excellent in quality and preparation. They have some vegan options although not always clearly marked. I had the fried Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce and tofu. It was delicious and filling. Very affordable too. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant is super clean.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, some vegan options. Excellent food.“
“This place was amazing!! I haven’t had good BBQ since visiting Texas. This is definitely the best BBQ on the west coast of California.Jackie was the bartender/server and she was out of this world! She has amazing recommendations, everything I ordered was because of her. The tunes were bumping, people were laughing it felt like stumbling on a close knit family restaurant. It was the highlight of my visit to San Francisco.I got the Baby Blue Burger with cheddar cheese on it. 2 bbq grilled shrimp and Mac & cheese. Plus a beer cider that’s not pictured.“
“SO good! Hella food, all delicious and super nice peeps work there. The beef bulgogi bento is a classic. I love that the bento comes with a variety of all kinds of food like pickled cucumbers, shrimp skewer and salad. The spicy chicken is amazing too and the kimchi fried rice comes with a perfectly cooked egg on top. The portions are HUGE. Can't wait to go back to try the Katsu!Vegetarian options: They do have tofu and dishes with just vegetables. Not sure if they use fish sauces tho.“
“I used to live in the neighborhood, years ago, and ate here often. It took moving away to realize what an absolute gem these guys are! Now, every time I'm remotely nearby, I'll go out of my way to stop in, and I'm reminded every time why I love it so much!“
“Went for the Premium all-you-can-eat package, and it was a good decision as it presented an extensive variety of meat selections – a total of 37 items to choose from. I particularly enjoyed their toro beef, Angus beef rib, kalbi chuck rib, and pork belly! The shrimps were a standout for me – perfectly cooked and flavorful. However, on the downside, the miso soup was a bit too salty for my taste. What truly impressed me was their delightful ice cream – a must-try! If you manage to find room in your stomach after indulging in the barbecue, don't miss out on their tempting ice cream or the delightful s'mores.“
“This is a good steak house to take the family to. It has very good steaks, burgers, and other meats. But it isn't so fancy that I worry about the kids acting up a bit. As an added bonus they have good old fashioned milk shakes. One suggestion is that I normally order an extra side or two, especially if I'm ordering one of the grilled meats.“
“This is a no-nonsense mom and pop establishment. You're going to get in, get fed, and get out - assuming they have room for you to get in in the first place. I have been turned away because they had too much of a wait for their tiny counter space. Bring cash.“
“In May 2021, I had the pleasure of experiencing the culinary delights of Ohgane Oakland, and the memory of that visit still lingers as a testament to the restaurant's excellence in Korean cuisine. From the moment I stepped through the door, Ohgane impressed with its inviting ambiance, attentive service, and, most notably, its delectable array of Korean dishes. The restaurant's interior exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, blending modern aesthetics with traditional Korean elements. The sleek yet cozy design set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff at Ohgane Oakland demonstrated professionalism and a genuine passion for sharing the rich tapestry of Korean flavors with their patrons.“
“Been here since I was a kid my dad would always take us and now its my favorite BBQ ribs place! Delicious food and service is good! Obviously the location could be better! Streets are philthy but that does not stop me from going!! My family loves this place! We all love this place :) thank you so much!“
“found this place last night and I give it a 10/10!!!!! Super delicious food, very good and FAST service and the overall atmosphere is just incredible. It’s also so nice that it close a little later than other kbbq spots and the price for the All You Can Eat buffet was so affordable!!!!! Will always come back here from now “
“They've always had the best barbecue in Berkeley for the past 5 years or so.They were 1st located on San Pablo Avenue by the old car wash place place. We miss Tina we all called her Momma Tina and her sonShawn and the crew. They are fantastic I hope she's OK.“
“I am a trucker, tried this place on a reco from a guy at Home Depot while making a delivery. Place has very similar menu to "Hawaiian Bros," if you've ever heard of them, but I digress... Ordered via Uber Eats, food arrived swiftly and HOT. Portions were plentiful and DELICIOUS! Got the Hawaiian BBQ as well as Lau Lau and Kahlua Pork for later. Would HIGHLY recommend, will be back if I'm in the Bay Area again.“
“My dad used to drink there in the 1980s and the Asian husband and wife couple who owned the bar bought him a last drink and told him never to come backThe bar was closed for about 10 or 20 years in the 1990s and the 2000sMy favorite part of the bar is spinning the wheel and trying my luck at free drinks cuz half the time it's a l**** deal but half the time it's a winner deal it's a nice bar most people are really coolFor a while they had a 8-bit Nintendo system and I'd play Castlevania and Super Mario Bros over and over again but they do have some arcade games and pinball games really nice“
“Always wanted to eat here but never seem to get the timing right, a friend took him here for a Sunday brunch, and we ordered the two-way combos with ribs and links, potato salad, each of which come with a little piece of bread. Both the ribs and the links were outstanding, slow cooked, smoky, tender, crispy on the edges, and the sauce was excellent. We didn't eat inside though because they were catering for an event, and it was interesting to see a bunch of super well dressed people that looked like they were from down south or had down south roots enjoying some food.Staff was super nice, the lady that served us was a real sweetheart, and the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommended for the barbecue. I'm going to go back and try some of the other things!“
