“I've seen this place hyped up on social media as one of the best chicken sandwiches out there and had to give it a try.

Got the szechuan chicken sando, the turkey salami and the sesame chocolate chip cookie. Does it live up to the hype?

The short answer is not really, at least in the chicken sando arena. It's a good chicken sando, it could absolutely do with some more pickled flavor, it's a little one note, I'd love the slaw to be pickled to break up the flavor. The bun is excellent, but the sandwich should be $5-6 cheaper, it's almost $20 and for what it is, while good, is simply not worth it when you can get extremely good chicken sandos all over oakland for much cheaper. Again, it's tasty, probably a one and done for me.

The turkey salami was kind of the star. Great bread, big sando (has to be for almost $20), you can tell it's a quality sando. Would I make a habit of getting sandwiches this expensive? Absolutely not. But it's worth trying and is very good.

The cookie was pretty good, room temp but managed to still have gooey chocolate. $7 is a lot for a cookie but it was tasty and not gonna gripe. Seems like a standard choc chip cookie tho, didn't really get a sesame flavor or see any sesames.

The staff were hustling and this place was doing a lot of business so clearly everything is going right. It's a take out only spot and they have a line so be prepared for that.

TLDR- Is it good? Yes. Is it a must try? No. Is it worth trying? Absolutely. Does $50 for 2 sandos and a cookie in oakland feel like highway robbery? A little bit.“

“Great experience! I’m based in Texas and was coordinating a lunch order remotely for my boss and his team for a business meeting in San Francisco. The gentleman I spoke with was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating while helping me make sure everything was set for the meeting.
I called again the morning of pickup to confirm everything was ready(I'm a little OCD lol) and happened to speak with the same gentleman. He immediately reassured me that everything was ready to go. “I visited Oink & Oscar with some coworkers recently for a team lunch. Some of us are local and some were visiting, but it was everyone's first time at O&O. Fortunately, there wasn't a conference or large event happening at Moscone Center, so it was pretty quiet when we arrived - no line to order and just a few people waiting for their food.

I was relieved to see how easy they made the ordering process. With all the sandwich customizations available, they keep it simple by having you fill out a paper order sheet yourself. I decided to keep things straightforward and ordered the first sandwich on their Favorites menu: Oscar's Wild. It was really tasty, and the portion was generous - definitely shareable, especially if you add chips or a different side.

For non-meat eaters, there are also vegetarian and vegan options, which is a plus. Since it was such a nice day, we took our sandwiches to-go and ate at Yerba Buena Gardens nearby. (There are also some outdoor picnic tables available in Yerba Buena Lane if you prefer to stay.)

“I am going to change my review after being called and harassed from the owner who yelled at me. I am so sorry, You see that I belong to this crazy group of people who believe when we order something. It's that something that comes our way. It's my fault for not understanding how it works now. We order, then something comes and we are supposed to like it and only give good reviews but not our actual experience.

So it's more about the social media presence, and not the customer, ah ok. I get it. How silly of me to write my own experience down and give my opinion. Being yelled at on the phone is now dessert, and the pass the buck between the delivery companies is the point at which no one is responsible.

I am gonna continue to be thankful and make great orders and give great reviews. I will have slightly adjusted expectations knowing maybe it will come. I will write those great reviews, 5 stars all the way, yay, Although it won't be the truth, I think this is what the restaurant wants me to do.
