“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

“I've been going to Yard House in Mission Valley for years and this is our first time at this location. They had a fairly busy turn out due to the fact that most diners were there waiting for the taping of America's Got Talent. We ordered 2 things and our food came quickly. The staff is polite, bathrooms are clean and food was good. You can park in the garage and they validate your parking.“

“One of the BEST burger stands in the LA area. Family-friendly, super interesting people from all over Los Angeles county, great DJ's playing classics of every genre. The classic burger with onions and cheese is amazing, but the mushroom and Swiss comes in at a close second. They even have vegetarian options for the non-meat eaters. It only opens up like once a month though, so you definitely have to follow them on social media and get there when the getting is good!!!“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“Love this place. We had Thanksgiving dinner here, with a special menu, so weren't able to sample the regular selection as much. But if crab cakes are part of the regular menu: they are amazing. Service was also top notch. Will gladly come again if we find ourselves in the area in the future.“

“I really enjoyed my time at the District restaurant! We arrived during lunch hour, and were seated immediately. The lunch selection menu is not as vast as other meals, however the food was quite delicious and brought out quite quickly! The presentation of the food and restaurant were amazing. “Comfortable and easy to get to, The Mixx has great folks taking care of you - the best bartender in all of SoCal, Carlos, who will mix you any concoction (the drinks menu is quite extensive and Carlos does not disappoint). Owner Ed is always around to make sure you have a great time, too. Food is quite good (sweet potato fries is a personal favorite). And there is always some entertainment going on: comedy wednesdays (free!), tuesday salsa, live music on weekends. It’s a great place to hang and watch the game (we were there for Super Bowl) or just cill and enjoy music and the vibes.“

SPAGHETTI IS BETTER THAN THE SPAGHETTI AT UNION. Reminds me of an NYC restaurant - really nice, low key and GREAT food. Very comfortable. The server was a total dork - super nice, unpretentious and funny, asked me if I trust her twenty seconds after we met (I bet she plays Tetris). The music had no F’s left to give in the best way possible - definitely heard some Jefferson Starship in there and one of those songs that could be Chicago or REO Speedwagon. Will come back 1000 times - so glad this place exists.“

“Finally made it to Taco/Social with some friends for HH, drinks are fairly priced, with some on tap and others not; like the old fashioned, but all solid choices. The place feels super family-friendly, which was nice to see. The vibe is open and welcoming, with a cool, relaxed setting. The tacos? Not what you expect when next to some of LA's best taco spots, these were more fusion, but they were seriously tasty. The Nashville hot cod is a must try. definitely would come back“

“It's rare when every plate you order is great but from the appetizer to salad to entree to cocktail to dessert --everything was delicious. The biscuits and ham were fantastic. The wedge salad had great flavor contrasts. I had the stroganoff which was fantastic, highly recommend it. My lady had the flat iron steak which was generous and had an excellent char. I had the rum drink where the surfer's go, and it was hard not to order another one!
If you're in Eagle Rock I definitely recommend dinner and drinks at Little Beast.“
