“My awarding of four stars was done sometime ago. It sure wasn't a four-star experience this time. They had three employees there, two of whom were futsing around with one of the drink machines while the remaining employee tried her best to take care of everyone standing in line for sandwiches. She was rushing and rushing to try to keep the line moving, but it really was too much for one person to be expected to do. Finally, just as I got to the counter, one of the other two employees came to the sandwich counter to help. The worst thing, though, was the temperature. The restaurant was extremely hot and despite fans turning up on the very high ceiling, there was virtually no air movement. The thermostat on the wall showed 89°. It was a very uncomfortable environment for everyone, but especially the employees who were rushing around in that heat.“

“I've been visiting this hidden gem for over a decade, and I can confidently say that their bánh mì remains some of the best I’ve ever had in Chinatown! The #1 option with cold cuts and Vietnamese-style meatloaf is incredibly flavorful. I might be mistaken, but I detect a lovely smoky note that elevates the entire sandwich.
The bread is truly exceptional—fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. It’s the ideal baguette to complement the vibrant fillings. I don't know what kind of stock they use for the gravy but the flavor is phenomenal. A little on the salty side but not too bad when you spread it out over the fries. The portion size is also massive

Grade: C-
The smokiness of the pastrami is good but it is really salty. I don't know if it's the pastrami itself or the au jus but the salt overpowers the rest of the flavor.“

“Super friendly service and they always remember your face. With me they always remembers what I order. Way delicious sandwiches. Condiments and well drinks not to be rivaled. Smack in the middle of Pasadena near Sierra Madre on Colorado. Enjoy!“

“I've been on a banh mi quest to find the best banh mi in San Gabriel valley.

I usually buy one item at all the places and it's the BBQ pork sandwich.

The staff are nice, but they don't accept cash there, paying with cards or Google pay is fine.

You can choose to eat inside the store or outside the corridor, I will prefer eating inside since there's flies outside.

“This is one of those local gem mom and pop restaurants that everyone loves. Great sandwiches, great onion rings and good prices. The restaurant itself it a little dated and the owners say very little, but the food speaks for itself. I've been coming here since I was a kid and will continue coming until I no longer can.

“Cool place for boba drinks. They make them promptly and the price is clearly posted. $5 for a Thai tea with boba includes taxes. We ordered six drinks and received them promptly. There is a sitting area to enjoy your drinks too.

“Quality of the food at this location is just like the others. Can't speak to environment because I did a pickup, but it was crowded when I was inside and there were staff making sure dine-ins were taken care of, so no problems with foot traffic.

Probably the hardest part was finding parking because this Mendocino is part of the Americana, which is paid garage parking. Street parking is tough due to location.“

“I remember getting some pretty good bánh mì to take on a flight several years ago, but didn’t know from which establishment. I came here today and it felt very familiar. I’m pretty certain this was the place.

We took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round bread bánh mì. We had the Saigon special, grilled pork and grilled beef. We actually asked for the meatball bánh mì, but they got our order wrong and gave us the grilled beef instead, which we didn’t realise until we got home. However, the sandwiches were still tasty; the meat was well seasoned and the bread had enough bite without being tough.

A decent place if you fancy some bánh mì. Takeout only.“

(If anyone from the Corporate Office reads this, I would like to suggest adding it permanently to the menu in locations that have larger Korean populations. This one certainly, but the store in Walmart nearest Koreatown in Las Vegas would be appreciated!)“

The service is fast, they are friendly, they have space to eat there, their coffee is delicious, the baguettes are a good size, price and taste good, so I do recommend them.“

“My experience at Ace Burger today was nothing short of amazing! I ordered the chicken tenders, fries, and corn on the cob, and everything was a perfect 10. The chicken tenders especially stood out—they had the perfect amount of spice and breading. On top of the fantastic food, the woman who made the food and the gentleman (I believe they’re the owners) were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. Their kindness made the visit even more special.
