“My wife and I visited for lunch on a weekday. It was a peaceful, relaxing time to dine, as the restaurant was not too crowded. While many guests were enjoying the beautiful weather on the patio, we opted for the bright, comfortable indoor seating.

“The tasting experience was amazing, and our host was so wonderful—warm, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the wines, which made the whole experience even more fun. The views were unreal, easily some of the best in Napa, and the value of the tasting was hands-down the best we found.

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. “Our best visit during our trip to Napa! We visited Domaine Carneros, B.Cellars, Davis Estates, Grgich, and Prager Port. We had a nice visit at all of those vineyards, but none of them came close to the hospitality, friendliness and generosity that Ryan Morales showed us during our tasting at Maxville. The wines were fantastic, as was meeting Cullen...a member of the wine making team. The entire visit was spot on from the minute we arrived, to the tour of the grounds, to the tasting. Exceptional, proud to be a club member at Maxville...can't wait until our next visit.“

“At my first visit I decided to become a member. The tasting room is very artsy, the grounds are small but nice to walk. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, you get free monthly access to other tasting rooms at couple of nearby wineries.

Wine taste is very subjective, so that's a bit more difficult to rate. What one person likes might be unpleasant to another. I've been at wineries where I don't like any of their wines, as well as one where I liked 9 out of 10 tastings. At Raymond, I like several of their reds, and all of their whites. Over all a very pleasant tasting experience worth repeating here and there.“

“Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).“

“We visited Grgich Hills Estate recently and had a wonderful experience. Ryan was our host / wine educator. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. He shared the history of Grgich Hills with us, told us about each wine and answered any question we asked. We also had the pleasure to meet Violet Grgich, whom was lovely. Grgich Hills Estate was recommended to us by Vince from Chateau Montelena. We are so glad he recommended Grgich Hills and that we visited. We enjoyed it so much, my husband and I joined their wine club.“

“Today, I visited the local ice cream shop in the afternoon with my sister. The staff were very friendly and offered us samples, including a delicious matcha flavor that has the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend getting the strawberry and pistachio flavors together with their homemade waffle cone. A must when visiting Calistoga!🍦“

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. We scheduled a private tasting and the amount of amazing big cabs they brought out for us to sample was impressive. To the point it became comical with the amount of glasses on the table for 6 people. We didn’t get a full count but it was between 50-60 glasses. Definitely worth the stop and be prepared to sample high end wines.“

“Wow what a beautiful location. Gorgeous views and landscape. Amazing mansion. Comfortable indoor but limited outdoor seating..Great gift shop and moat importantly amazing wine. Never been to Italy but feels like you've been after going to Inglenook! This Francis Ford Coppola owned vineyard is not only gorgeous it serves amazing wine. The wine representative assigned to us gave us not only details about the grapes and growing process and making of the wine but a history of the vineyard, the first owners, the Coppola's purchase of the vineyard, as well as details about the history of Napa as wine country in California and so much more. One note is the cheese board could use an upgrade. Other wineries we visited offer a variety of tasty treats to stimulate the palette and wine pairing experience such as sweets like homemade jam, some type of meat or pate to liven up the wine tastings and more than one cheese offering. Otherwise it was a perfect experience of sampling wine and learning about Napa in the backdrop of majestic Italianesque views.“

“This was our second visit to Honig. The first time, a friend introduced us, and we enjoyed the wine and the environment. As part of our anniversary weekend, we decided to return, and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly. “Go while you can! Duckhorn has been purchased and the Paraduxx label is going to be shut down since it isn't making enough money for some bean-counter. Paraduxx is one of the few places doing something different in Napa and it will be a real loss.“

“We walked in towards the very end of their day hoping for a fun tasting on our way out of Napa, and boy did Peju deliver!

My group and I had the end-of-day tasting flight which was led by Robert on their staff! He gave us the background on the wines in the flight and even went out of his way to answer a barrage of additional questions we threw his way! He was kind enough to give us two additional little pours as well, which we greatly appreciated.

As a last-minute stop on our day trip to Napa, Peju was a pleasant little surprise! I'd be totally enthusiastic to return and try all FIVE of their Cab Francs that they've got available.“

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!

The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own.
