“honestly i wasn't expecting much but this place totally blew me away. the tasting room is really cozy, not snobby at all, and the guy helping us was super chill and let us take our time. i loved the red blend, ended up buying a bottle to take home which i never do. the view out over the valley is stunning, we just sat on the patio forever. already planning to come back with some friends next time im in the area.“

“Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner here and was seated immediately. They acknowledged our celebratory meal and started us off with complimentary cocktails. We ordered the Parker rolls $15 with crab spinach dip $16, crab noodles $38, and short rib $78. Not cheap, but we felt the prices were reasonable considering the quality and portions. All the food was really good with well thought out ingredients and flavors. Best short rib we've ever had. So tender and flavorful. It is a must order. We joked about wanting to grab a to go order of that on our way home. We ended our meal with the butterscotch pudding, but ended up not liking it. The server noticed, apologized, and removed it from our bill. Really good service overall. Beautiful, classy looking, intimate, large sized restaurant. Plenty of parking. Literally the perfect meal in terms of food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend“

“Absolute gem of a tasting room. We found some truly unique and delicious wines, and got to enjoy them in a fun, relaxed space. Our host Patrick was very knowledgeable and personalized the tasting to us, which made the experience even better.

Loved hearing that their wines are all limited release. Part of the fun of tasting is finding something different than you might normally drink. They really lean into the treasure hunt vibe here with all of their wines being one and done. We will definitely be back on our next trip. If you're going soon snag some Pink Motel for a perfect summer sip.“

I would recommend scheduling your tasting with Roman. I want to book two tastings in a row next time just to spending more time on the property and with Roman. Put this visit close to the end of your trip because it is the best.“

“We are on a road trip through CA and of course wanted to make a stop in Napa Valley and check out a vineyard. Though we stopped by the Napa Valley Welcome Center for recommendations they weren’t super helpful. I did use their QR code to find “kid friendly” vineyards. Some of these vineyards were not that kid friendly once we started looking into them and calling around. Tres Sabores however was VERY welcoming to us and our 9 year old. The vineyard was beautiful and so peaceful!! My husband and I enjoyed the tour with Dave and learned so much!! Julie the owner also came over and spoke with us for a bit! We tried 5 different wines and our daughter was provided organic juice boxes, bubbles and coloring supplies. We had snacks for the table that all of us enjoyed! After our tour and tastings we walked over to the barn area and played with the animals. Highly recommend Tres Sabores not only for families, but adults on their own too!! What a wonderful vineyard and great experience!!“

“What a unique experience! Our private tour and tasting in the pool house with Pamela, set up by Maria D'Ambrosio at The Harvest Inn, was special and the perfect way to start a couple of days in the Napa Valley.

From the unique story to the incredible wines, Pamela walked us through the JCB experience, how they make their wines, and the history of their family and their sustainable, all-natural winemaking without pesticides or chemicals.

One of the most eclectic and interesting properties we experienced. The sensory wall, including touch and smell, was an interesting way to talk about how people experience wine, and a walk through the red room and the winemaking area was extraordinary.

While it was a larger and more commercial operation, the experience was personal, and the wines we tasted were brilliant.“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. Very much looking forward to our next visit!“

We had a nice visit at all of those vineyards, but none of them came close to the hospitality, friendliness and generosity that Ryan Morales showed us during our tasting at Maxville. The wines were fantastic, as was meeting Cullen...a member of the wine making team. The entire visit was spot on from the minute we arrived, to the tour of the grounds, to the tasting. Picayune also carries its own brand of beautiful wines and other gourmet items. As previously said, Claire picks the merchandise which varies from all over.

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. “Napa Valley’s new hidden gem is Robert’s Tropical Table located in a converted breezeway/parking lot adjacent to the Mount View Hotel right here in Calistoga. Robert has been known for a decade as one of the handful of magical mixologists in our Valley having a long bar run at Sol Bar (until they closed for remodel and Covid) and then Brasswood before launching his rendition of a Jamaican Beach Cafe. His Ocho Rios roots come alive with a delicious selection of jerk chicken, pork belly, and wings with an escovitch fish perhaps better than mine. And never to be missed are the festival dumplings and a perfect Dark and Stormy. Open DAILY when the music is playing and gates are ajar (3pm to 10pm).“

“Wow what a beautiful location. Gorgeous views and landscape. Amazing mansion. Comfortable indoor but limited outdoor seating..Great gift shop and moat importantly amazing wine. Never been to Italy but feels like you've been after going to Inglenook! This Francis Ford Coppola owned vineyard is not only gorgeous it serves amazing wine. The wine representative assigned to us gave us not only details about the grapes and growing process and making of the wine but a history of the vineyard, the first owners, the Coppola's purchase of the vineyard, as well as details about the history of Napa as wine country in California and so much more. One note is the cheese board could use an upgrade. Other wineries we visited offer a variety of tasty treats to stimulate the palette and wine pairing experience such as sweets like homemade jam, some type of meat or pate to liven up the wine tastings and more than one cheese offering. Otherwise it was a perfect experience of sampling wine and learning about Napa in the backdrop of majestic Italianesque views.“

“Go while you can! Duckhorn has been purchased and the Paraduxx label is going to be shut down since it isn't making enough money for some bean-counter. Paraduxx is one of the few places doing something different in Napa and it will be a real loss.“

“We recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!
