“3 of us came here for lunch today. They took over the location from Din Tai Fung. It took a few minutes before someone greeted and seated us. We ordered:
- shrimp wonton w/ house spicy sauce (best, compared to DTF and Lunasia)
- shrimp & pork dumpling w/ black truffle (Lunasia is still best)
- squid in scallop dumpling w/ XO sauce (good)
- French baked BBQ pork bun (the buns too doughy, prefer the one at Tim Ho Wan)
- eggplant stuffed w/ shrimp paste (pretty good)
- deep fried pork dumpling (meh)
- deep fried durian pastry (excellent, real durian pulp, not processed, not too sweet, a bit greasy)“

“I am not sure why 626 Ice Cream has such bad reviews.

I had heard lots about this place, but due to them mostly being open on weekday nights, didn't have a chance to try them until yesterday afternoon.

I enjoyed the calming ambiance. Everything seemed randomly arranged, however it went well with the area.

The ice cream served here is very delicious and creamy, so if you like that type of style, you're better off coming here. I got the condensed milk and black sesame flavors with sprinkles, Gummy bears and mochi. Their mochi bin was nearly empty, and I discovered why when I ate my dessert. I mean, the other two toppings were also tasty and I'm glad I didn't do just mochi, but mochi had to be the best out of the three toppings I had.

Would come back if I were in the area!“

Great non-Mexico tacos! But so good. Crispy! Their burritos are fried so a little different. These old-school taco places are nostalgic and need to stay around. Service is always fast and friendly with reasonable prices. They make their own hot sauce, so it's pretty good. Go if not just for nostalgia.“

“This ice cream shop is a pop-up (probably permanent pop-up) in The Shops at Santa Anita. I loved the free sample they offered! The server is so generous in offering the samples. The croffle is the best we’ve had for a long time, warm and so yummy. I especially enjoyed the matcha and hojicha, both made with ceremonial-grade tea. The ice cream did not disappoint me either. Totally recommend for sugar craves!“

“Our first time here, we had gone here for Steady Garage's Friday Kik Bak Bike Show. I was fortunate enough to be selected to have my bike on display.
This place has a very welcoming and chill vibe. The people who worked here were super nice. I'm not much of a beer fan, but I wanted to support and see what they had to offer. They have a huge selection of beer to choose from. I was surprised they had an offering of items like sparkling raspberry lemonade, a berry awesome series, and wine. They had something for everyone. I decided to go with a jolly rancher apple that they had. It was light and not too sweet. I was debating on trying the berry one but decided to stick with this for the whole night.
I loved that they had cookies made by Sour*doe*sisters. I saw a flyer outside their window and was interested in pre ordering a sourdough loaf. You definitely must try them.
1. Pumpkin chocolate - light and pumpkiny - it tasted like a muffin top
2. Chocolate Chip - I can't go wrong with a classic.
3. Red velvet - I'm not a fan of red velvet, but I had to try, and it was light and tasty.
4. Strawberry cookies made with real strawberries - This was my favorite it was so different. I never had a strawberry cookie made with real strawberries before. It was moist and not too sweet.
The layout of this place was pretty cool and spacious. They had a private event going on when we were there as well. The taco vendor they had there was a hit.
I definitely see us coming back here soon, even if it's not for a bike event. The location was cool, and there was plenty of parking.“

Went for dinner one night near the end of my trip to Arcadia and wish I would've known about this sooner - I would definitely be a frequent customer of I lived nearby!“

“One of the boba places I tried next to Menya Hanabi. This isn’t a place to really sit down, it is a place to get your drink and go. There are two self serve touch screens where you can place your order, and it is nice that your name will show up on the screen to let you know approximately when your drink is ready. It seems this is a franchise so there are other places that serve the same, but this was my first experience and I think it is worth a try.

I decided to give the waffle a try, my kid enjoyed it. The passion fruit drink I got was decent, but the seeds inside were quite hard.

I like how modern the place is, but it seems to be a lot more pricier than some other places that I have been to in this city. I think my bill for 5-6 drinks and a snack was about $60. I believe I could have gone to another place and max would have been $40.

Worth a try, if especially if you are eating in the plaza. Until next time“

“If you have a craving for Korean Street Food that’s also Gordon Ramsey @gordongram approved, then look no further than Soonheene in the SGV. They first opened in Seoul in 1994, but have been in Arcadia, California, since 2021🫶🏼

You really do get to know a culture/country through their street food, and I find Korean food to be so rich in their layers of flavors, seasonings and taste🇰🇷

“Have been a loyal customer of many Pressed locations for over 10 years and this is a great one. Super convenient for stocking up after a movie or shopping at the mall. The store is very clean!

“Delicious food at a great value. Every dish was spot on and came out quickly but we were the only table seated at 9:30PM on a Thursday. Pretty small seating area with a cluttered interior but there is clearly care behind every plate. The chongqing noodles were quite spicy and numbing - my personal favorite. The crispy duck rice was very rich, and the spicy beef soup with rice noodles had a vinegar flavor that cut through but was a little lacking. Additionally the hot and sour jelly was refreshing and spicy.“

However because the service is slow I felt the need to order everything the 2nd time I went which kinda makes things less fresh. The first time I had to wait so long for them to bring out more meat and it wasn’t even that many people in the restaurant. “This is one of my favorite boba place. They are located in a convenient location that I can always come by after I am done with my grocery shopping. Mango slush with rainbow jelly is my favorite drink at this place. The drink was very refreshing on a hot day. It was not too sweet with 100% sweetness, and the rainbow jelly is just a flavorful addition to the drink. Customer can place their own order on the monitor by the entrance. This store also offered loyalty program in point system, which loyal customers are able to receives perks. There are tables and chair inside and outside of the store for customers to use. This place is a sleeper hit for Taiwanese style beef noodle soup — round cut beef shanks (not cubed or chunked), homemade pickled mustard greens, and homemade chili oil.

Came here while visiting and was blown away given there are other options that look good too.

Probably still relatively unknown or gate kept bc it’s easy to miss and doesn’t look like much.

Get the beef noodle soup and be transported to the beef noodle soup stalls in Taiwan. Like most legit places, they will have their own homemade take on the pickled mustard greens and chili oil.

Seats like 10 people comfortably or maybe 15 people as a squeeze.

Has a bunch of traditional side dishes or take home meals and also frozen dumplings for sale. Saw 6 aunties come in while I ate and buy loads of stuff and bounce bc they know what’s up 👀“

I'm pleased to say that the drinks were all delicious and freshly made.However, I wanted to bring to your attention an observation regarding the staffing situation. When I visited today around 6 PM, I noticed there was only one employee, Shannon, who was managing all aspects of the front operations. She handled taking orders, making drinks, making waffles, and distributing orders. I was quite surprised that there were no additional staff members present at the time.While I understand that the limited space of the cafe promotes a grab-and-go concept, the workload seemed overwhelming for one person. Despite this, Shannon handled everything efficiently, although it did result in a 15-minute wait for my order. To acknowledge her efforts, I decided to leave an additional tip.I believe that having more staff members scheduled during peak hours could help prevent such situations and enhance the overall customer experience. “As a Taiwanese I’m pretty critical when it comes to stir fries, and this place def exceeded my expectations for a fast, Chinese stir fry rice bowl! I ordered mangolia beef w the side cabbage, the meat is not too oily nor salty, just the right amount of seasoning along with the green and white onions. The side cabbage tastes fresh and crispy, def not those catering Chinese chain where veggies are sitting in the tray for too long till they’re soft and sad. I ordered delivery when it’s kinda passed dinner time, so I was worried that I’m gonna get cold food, but everything in the bowl including the white rice came warm! My bf ordered broccoli beef and seems to be satisfied too. The bowl is simple but the everything is on point!“

“Wow! Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, soft moist and subtly sweet.It’s like they gathered the outer edges from tiny fluffy clouds and stuffed sweet pork bits into their centers. The sauce is brown, not red like I’m used to but still very good. The pork chunks were very moist which I loved, with just enough fat for moisture and flavoring.The price is a bit up there, especially for a crowd. $15.00 for 6 Small Buns…but better quality when comparing to local Asian Market deli sections. 4-6 huge buns To-Go for $8.00 and you can feed an army or share 1 with a friend.Despite the price, I loved the product. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Take the Steaming Square Paper off the Bottom before eating lol.The NAME Signage wasn’t over the door when I arrived so I parked in the giant lot to look at the map. “Solid, straight to the point spot for ramen. I got the Kai Red ramen and wife got the Tonkotsu Classic. The Kai red had a good kick, not too overbearing and the soup had a nice consistency. Wife enjoyed the Tonkotsu classic, nothing fancy, just well balanced and very familiar in a good way. For appetizers, we also got Takoyaki and Sesame Fried Chicken, which my daughter really enjoyed. I thought the Takoyaki was the sleeper. The Kai's Boba Milk tea definitely came in handy to cool us off, from both the ramen and the heat outside. I want to try the Spicy Miso and Kai's white ramen on our next run.“

“Small authentic Guilin noodle in the Arcadia square plaza food court.

I was surprised by the huge portions so definitely for money's worth.
The lady in the front was nice and explained all the dishes and gave some recommendations which I took.

Noodles are pretty good and a side note, she told me the spices were really spicy and I didn't think much of it, but putting just a little of the red 🌶️🌶️ and after mixed into the soup, I drank the soup, it caught up and landed in my throat, the spice level is really no joke. Normally I can eat habanero level spice with ease, but this is really spicy.

Would come back again.“
