“Emercy knocks it out of the park every time! Orion chooses exceptional grapes, and is a master wine magician, and Ben runs a superb tasting room and club. Today I had the opportunity to taste the brand new ‘22s and revisit three favorite ’21’s. It’s always pure joy to see these wines open up after just a year, and now I have the option of pouring one now and saving another for later. 🥰🥰🥰“
“Absolutely wonderful. Jackie, Steve and Anna are just incredible and kind. Wines are stunning and beautiful. Bring your own lunch and enjoy the beautiful outdoor. The family will stop by and meeting them is a treat. Shared favorite restaurants and all about their wine making process. Def must stop here when in Paso! Make it a must stop.“
“Fantastic visit. Great wines, beautiful setting, and super friendly, knowledgeable staff (thanks Jennifer!). Will definitely make a second visit here, especially for the Pinot Noir, which was perfectly balanced and had all the right nuances.“
“Great tasting and education with Maurey over Labor Day weekend. Had some first time tasters with us and he explained everything to a T. And wines are amazing as well, had only ever been to Napa and these are equivalent or better with different varietals as well. Also, sense of community much higher here than up there.“
“A great winery in a farm style setting! The wines were all very good especially the reds and the farm ambience really nice! The wonderful dogs really added to the ambience, they were great wine ambassadors for the winery lol! The wine tasting included a little charcuterie plate that was a really elegant touch! Beautiful scenery and there are plenty of picnic tables to enjoy the view while sampling great wine. Found this winery while driving around and this made for a real pleasant stop. Owners were very attentive and spent time telling their story about the winery. Well worth a stop while exploring wineries in Paso Robles.“
“We enjoyed our tasting at Ecluse very much. All the wines we tried were excellent. And the tasting room staff was fun and energetic. We loved the way they looked after us as a team. If our wine glasses were empty, someone always came by with the next pour. It was a pleasure to talk to all of them and just a wonderful experience. They also have a beautiful patio where you enjoy the view and a glass of wine. Ecluse is a hidden gem in Paso Robles and shouldn't be missed.“
“Great wine, people & entertainment 😊🍷“
“Great tasting experience with Stan. Exotic wines and incredible ports.“
“Sixteen Years of Love & Legacy—A Toast to Us and to Nicora
Celebrating 16 years of Nicora Wines while honoring our own 16-year anniversary made this experience truly unforgettable. It was more than a tasting—it was a tribute to passion, partnership, and the beauty of things that age with grace.
Elissa was phenomenal. Her warmth, insight, and genuine hospitality turned each pour into a story, each moment into a memory. She didn’t just guide us through the wines—she celebrated with us, making our milestone feel seen and cherished.
✨ Standout Sips:
• Denner Vineyard Viognier 2022: A radiant opener—lush, floral, and beautifully balanced. Sunshine in a glass.
•Euphoric 2022: True to its name, this 100% Grenache was a revelation. Silky on the palate, emotionally resonant, and bursting with expressive depth—it delivered joy in every pour. A celebration captured in liquid form.
• GSM Blend 2022: Bold yet nuanced, with layers that linger. A masterclass in blending and depth.
• Slide Hill Vineyard 2022: My first taste—and wow. A vibrant, terroir-driven gem that left a lasting impression.
From the first pour to the final toast, Nicora’s legacy of craftsmanship and heart was on full display. And in the glow of our own 16-year journey, every glass felt like a love letter—to resilience, to connection, and to the joy of shared celebration.
Here’s to Nicora. Here’s to us. And here’s to many more vintages—and years—worth celebrating.“
“What a great stop! Not only was the wine amazing, but the story behind the business was incredible. Lacey ran the wine tasting for myself and the other 3 people in our group. She was engaging, fun, and so knowledgeable!! She also gave us great recommendations for our (first) Paso trip! Made our stop so great!“
“My wife and went to Volatus based on reviews and we are adding 5 star. Daniel our wine guide was fantastic. Great knowledge of wines and the Paso Robles area. We went on a Wednesday so we had the tasting room to ourselves. The red wines were full bodied and are drinking very well now, and will age nicely. Daniel explained we are in a slow period ( just a few days) as the wine festival had just passed and we are entering Memorial day weekend. The vibe and energy was excellent. Cheers to the owner and all he does.“
“Am a white wine drinker , but I loved all of the reds ! Am now a wine club member !“
“This place is amazing from the wine to the staff to the views. Such a friendly laid back place. Can't say enough about Croad my favorite winery“
“Everyone at Pius Estates is so helpful and communicate so well, but more importantly, have the best wines in a relaxing environment, and you must order their charcuterie boards. Greg does the best wine tasting ever and don't miss it. You'll be truly delighted. Be happy drink Pius.“
“What’s not to love about Fratelli Perata? As soon as you drive up, you are transported to Italy, gazing upon miles of rolling hills of vineyards as you get out of your car. Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“
“Our experience was absolutely delightful! The staff was remarkably attentive and genuinely friendly, setting a fantastic tone. We loved the live music and found the beautiful atmosphere incredibly uplifting. The refreshing wine we selected perfectly complemented the whole ambiance. Highly recommend!“
“I'm obsessed! The wine, service, and grounds are nothing short of outstanding. Ascunsion Ridge is a small operation run by beautiful, honest people that love what they do. Each wine I sampled was complex and beautifully balanced. Everything was beyond my expectations and I loved my time here so much I couldn't help but sign up for a membership. I can't wait to come back!“
“I have to admit that we were disappointed that Bodegas Paso Robles was not in this location anymore. But what a pleasant surprise to find some excellent wines in Cendre. Their GSM is so good we bought a bottle for dinner.“
“The service is exceptional along with their wines selection“
“There are several wineries in the area but this one has left an impressionable mark on our small group. We popped in a few years ago just because we were in the area for another event. No reservations, no nothing, we just pulled up without the desire for a pretentious experience. We got welcomed like we were family. We left the event having exchanged contacts with the owner. This is an amazing place, family owned, great wines, great people. Put it on your list if you really want to go to a winery that actually gives a shit.“
“Love their Chopping Block, Honey Bunny wines!“
“Excellent wine, knowledgeable and charming staff, beautiful and creative space“
“Katie was awesome. The hostess with the mostess. 🍷 🍺 🥃“
“My choice for what to recommend for Turtle Rock from Facebook suggestions were things like picnics and ambiance etc. How about the MFing wine? We shipped a ton of wine back from our last trip to Paso and the one we keep going back to over and over is Turtle Rock. Drinking the G2 tonight with a petite filet and it’s just awesome. Comes out of the bottle like ink with leather and earth and like stewed cherry and plum. The more we drink the more we love TR.“
“Awesome product, friendly folks and a comfy tasting room. Highly recommended“
“Great owners and great wines“
“It's by the unmaned train station. Owner Sam and Takashi are wonderful! The wine tasting is super reaonable and wines beautifully made by Sam! It is just run by one person, but the service and hospitality is top notch! If you are in Paso Robles it is a must to visit. If taking the train at 4 15pm you should go 2 hrs early and enjoy the wines there. Really loved this place. Highly recommended!“
“Great spot! We had an enjoyable tasting of very delicious Pinots, Rieslings and ice wines. Mark was a great host and very knowledgeable and created an awesome experience for our party. I definitely recommend this spot if you are in downtown Paso and enjoy those styles.“
“Wonderful wine at a reasonable price for non-elites.“
“We loved the wine, Kaitlin, and her adorable dog! I highly recommend this winery. We were in a hurry to leave because we had somewhere we needed to be. I left a bag behind. Kaitlin called us, but we were leaving the next morning. She shipped our bag to us promptly! What a kind gesture. Who does that anymore? KAITLIN. 💜💙❤️“
“My favorite winery, the wines (dry farmed,), amazing and perfect for my palate! The Bistro food is outstanding and the service warm, friendly and attentive ~ My go to to bring my friends and family when the come for a visit here in my area. Also… spectacular views!🍷🤗“
“Went to Rotta on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. The young lady who helped us was a wealth of information. The wines were fantastic and the view was spectacular. What a great day“
“Clesi’s Italian varietals are first class. Their wines were reminiscent of the fine wines we tasted on a trip to Italy a couple years back, smooth, lite, easy to drink. Becky provided us with the back story on each of their varietals and the different regions in Italy they are native to. Clesi winery is now on our short list when in the Paso Robles (Templeton) area.“
“Went for lunch on a recent trip to California. Everything was very nice and their wine is excellent. Too bad that it is not located at the vineyard. The best experience that I have had at other places was restaurants and tasting rooms at vineyards, often with great views of the vines.“
“Kim is great! She made us feel welcome! Great prices for tasty wine!“
“From the day i bought the wine spectator in 2011 i started on THE WAITING LIST.. every year its a extreme treat to receive this amazing wine ,, i savor every bit ,,, some times the allocations i share with a good friend ,, but get on the list asap !! “We had a lovely stay at the Vineyard Farmhouse. It was very comfortable. The setting was very serene and the views of the vineyard and rolling hills were amazing. Our host was easy to reach and answered any questions we had very quickly. We highly recommend doing a wine tasting at the Pelletiere tasting room which is mere steps from the farmhouse. The wines were so wonderful we bought 6 bottles!“
“An umami pairing experience with LXV Wine and Bakersfield’s Noodle Bar. LXV owners and the chef from Noodle Bar matched the wines and meals perfectly👌🏼Pairings with LXV Wine is a must do experience!“
“It’s a great place. Great people. Great wine. Good times. Though the guy who runs the wine club needs to work on his people skills“
“We love their wines. They were the first in Paso to produce biodynamic wines and a model all others should follow. This is an amazing family run business and we are proud to support them.“
“I met with both owners; they were well-versed on their wine selections both white and red. I purchased several bottles including white and red. My favorite was Gemeny Vineyard Petite Syrah 2020: full body, low tannins. Rich nose and flavors.“
“It’s one of the best wine bars in San Luis Obispo county offering a wide array of domestic and international wines by the bottle or by the glass. I find the prices to be competitive and the bartenders very knowledgeable with their craft. I highly recommend this lace to anyone who wants to sample local Paso Robles and international wines. Don’t take my word for it, come and visit soon.“
“I discovered Seven Oxen at Garagiste Wine Festival, highly recommended by Doug, Co-Founder. The wines are incredibly well made, elegant, and balanced. Great people. This reminds me of the great discoveries in Paso 20 years ago.“
“Nice, small, quaint winery. All the wines were great. We especially loved the Zinfandel! There was a problem with our order and they made it right quickly! I suggest if you’re in the area, stop in and enjoy the wine. Buy a bottle, or a case!“
“The wines speak for themselves. We always buy a bunch of bottle because they are all delicious!! Not to mention that Anna is the best! She really takes care of you and makes you feel special!“
“My friends and I had an excellent time tasting Glenna's wines. All of her wines are very well made and delicious. She gave us a unique personal experience by sitting down with us and explaining the origins of each wine and how she makes them. Highly recommend!“
“One of the originals in Paso! Thankfully a place that still does great Zin's in addition to their others like the excellent Ms Behave Malbec. Great Rose' as well, very light and easy to drink, perfect for the hotter days. Jessica was excellent as well as was the yard cat who greeted us.“
“My favorite winery in Paso Robles. I love almost all of their wines. Dirt Worshipper is one of the best wines coming out of Paso. The view from the tasting room is great, and they waive tastings with the purchase of a single bottle! All around a great winery.“

“The Rhône LIVES in Tin City!
Always on the lookout for new grape friends & especially in Paso. The Levo folks have been on our radar for over a year & we FINALLY got the chance to do a proper sit-down midweek tasting last week. 100% across the board! Very chill & inviting location, thoroughly cool & approachable staff & EPIC wines! Don’t think I’ve signed up as a wine club member faster than with Levo & left with over a case of their goodies. Oh yeah, concrete “Egg” they use, straight outta the Terra Alta or Lyon!“
