“Great tasting experience! Knowledgeable and friendly staff and fantastic line of wines. Discovered them through Somms Kitchen last year and then visited first time that same weekend. Made it a point to come back this year and it didn't disappoint!“
“Small vineyard that produces delicious wines. The owner, Steve, came through and spent a good deal of time with us. We opted for the outdoor terrace which has beautiful views of the vines and the surrounding area. Our server, Michael, did a great job of explaining each wine including where the grapes were grown, percentages of the various varietals, and type of barreling. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and we will be back again.“
“Soon to be Pius Vineyard, Anthony V. ,the wine maker is excellent at his craft. Tasted an excellent 2021 Cabernet with a great finish. I recommend visiting and tasting. They have embarked on a complete remodeling that will modernize the experience, Best of luck to you!“
“We had a wonderful experience at Willow Creek Wine Co. last weekend! Their wines are fantastic, we truly enjoyed everything we tasted! The experience itself was incredible…greeted by the winemakers/owners was such a treat having them spend time chatting and sharing their passion! Then Berkeley created such a memorable experience, shared a delicious perfectly paired plate to go with our tasting and walked us through each of the wines. We of course joined their club and can’t wait to return to visit. Thank you for such a personal, welcoming visit and for sharing your incredible wines! Cheers!“
“A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Service
Torrin is an absolute delight! We were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrived. The staff here truly go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed and well taken care of. Their knowledge and passion for wine are evident, and they are more than happy to share their expertise, making the tasting experience both informative and enjoyable.
The wines themselves are superb—each one a true testament to the craft and care that goes into the winemaking process. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or just beginning to explore, there's something here for everyone to enjoy. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and it's easy to lose track of time.
Torrin is a must-visit for anyone in the area. With friendly staff, excellent service, and wines that will impress even the most discerning palate, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again. Cheers to the team at Torrin for creating such a wonderful experience!“
“Fantastic visit. Great wines, beautiful setting, and super friendly, knowledgeable staff (thanks Jennifer!). Will definitely make a second visit here, especially for the Pinot Noir, which was perfectly balanced and had all the right nuances.“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Union Sacre Winery, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience I had! From the moment I arrived, the customer service was outstanding. The staff welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They took the time to get to know us, sharing their passion for wine and guiding me through their tasting selections with great care. We loved hearing about their unique story and their journey in the wine industry.
As for the wine, we loved each one! We were impressed by their unique wines, which showcased the winemaker's creativity and attention to detail. You can truly taste the love and craftsmanship in every bottle!
The atmosphere was equally inviting. We enjoyed sipping wine on the patio, surrounded by beautiful views, which made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, Union Sacre Winery not only offers exceptional wines but also an unforgettable experience thanks to their incredible customer service. I left feeling inspired and can’t wait to return for another visit!“
“My wife and went to Volatus based on reviews and we are adding 5 star. Daniel our wine guide was fantastic. Great knowledge of wines and the Paso Robles area. We went on a Wednesday so we had the tasting room to ourselves. The red wines were full bodied and are drinking very well now, and will age nicely. Daniel explained we are in a slow period ( just a few days) as the wine festival had just passed and we are entering Memorial day weekend. The vibe and energy was excellent. Cheers to the owner and all he does.“
“Went for lunch on a recent trip to California. Everything was very nice and their wine is excellent. Too bad that it is not located at the vineyard. The best experience that I have had at other places was restaurants and tasting rooms at vineyards, often with great views of the vines.“
“Enchanting, spacious, and whimsical grounds to enjoy their delicious wines. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly area winery, this is the one! Lots of room for playing, plenty of other kids, and they even have some games. Live music is a nice touch.“
“CaliPaso is one of my favorite places in Paso Robles. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, mildly exciting with sports generally on the large screen TV and a super friendly staff. Their wines are wonderful and reasonably priced. It’s just a nice place to spend time with friends old and new.“
“We had a lovely stay at the Vineyard Farmhouse. It was very comfortable. The setting was very serene and the views of the vineyard and rolling hills were amazing. Our host was easy to reach and answered any questions we had very quickly. We highly recommend doing a wine tasting at the Pelletiere tasting room which is mere steps from the farmhouse. The wines were so wonderful we bought 6 bottles!“
“An umami pairing experience with LXV Wine and Bakersfield’s Noodle Bar. LXV owners and the chef from Noodle Bar matched the wines and meals perfectly👌🏼Pairings with LXV Wine is a must do experience!“
“Great spot if you like reds!
A very cozy, indoor and outdoor seating!
The host was so friendly, provided fantastic conversation!
Reservations are recommended as it gets quite busy. Pets are allowed as well!“
“The service is exceptional along with their wines selection“
“I'm obsessed! The wine, service, and grounds are nothing short of outstanding. Ascunsion Ridge is a small operation run by beautiful, honest people that love what they do. Each wine I sampled was complex and beautifully balanced. Everything was beyond my expectations and I loved my time here so much I couldn't help but sign up for a membership. I can't wait to come back!“
“Wonderful place, been there when a band was playing and the place was busy, and was there on a quite Wednesday afternoon and Erika made me feel right at home. Motorcycle friendly park back buy the bathrooms for solid ground to put your kickstand on,“
“We stayed there through harvest host on Saturday night. We were greeted promptly and they showed us where to park our RV. Wine was great and tastings were reasonable priced. Lots of parking and lots of tables. Some seating inside and out. They often have entertainment and we got lucky they did the night we were there They had a kids movie night inside the open air tasting room and parents could hang out and taste wine. We especially loved the Zinfandel and the other blends. The rose was good too.“
“We spent a week in Paso Robles. During our visit, we enjoyed the L'Aventure wines and the relaxing atmosphere on the patio. Our hostess was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. We tasted three wines, while other wineries in the area offered five. Also, each of the other wineries offered a pour of a special wine they were offering that was not on the list. They also provided a second pour of a particular wine on the list if you asked for it.
L'Aventure offered none of those extras. I believe they could have been more generous with folks who made the trip to visit there in person. It's just good business. In that sense the experience was slightly disappointing. I'm not sure if I will keep them on my list for our next visit to the area.“
“This place is amazing from the wine to the staff to the views. Such a friendly laid back place. Can't say enough about Croad my favorite winery“
“My spouse and I visited Calcareous in mid-March for a Cabernet tasting that was out of this world. We tasted a variety of wines from different vintages that were all outstanding. Each was beautifully made and are a great value for their price point. Our host, Nate, explained the wine characteristics, production details, and winery history. He expertly answered endless questions about the local wine community and other wine trivia. The whole experience was just great.“
“My choice for what to recommend for Turtle Rock from Facebook suggestions were things like picnics and ambiance etc. How about the MFing wine? We shipped a ton of wine back from our last trip to Paso and the one we keep going back to over and over is Turtle Rock. Drinking the G2 tonight with a petite filet and it’s just awesome. Comes out of the bottle like ink with leather and earth and like stewed cherry and plum. The more we drink the more we love TR.“
“Great tasting experience with Stan. Exotic wines and incredible ports.“
“If you're a wine enthusiast looking for something truly special, Diablo Paso is a must-try. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! Be sure to ask for Deb when you visit the tasting room. She’s incredibly friendly and can provide expert guidance on the wine selection.“
“My favorite winery, the wines (dry farmed,), amazing and perfect for my palate! The Bistro food is outstanding and the service warm, friendly and attentive ~ My go to to bring my friends and family when the come for a visit here in my area. Also… spectacular views!🍷🤗“
“What’s not to love about Fratelli Perata? As soon as you drive up, you are transported to Italy, gazing upon miles of rolling hills of vineyards as you get out of your car. Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“
“Love their Chopping Block, Honey Bunny wines!“
“It’s one of the best wine bars in San Luis Obispo county offering a wide array of domestic and international wines by the bottle or by the glass. I find the prices to be competitive and the bartenders very knowledgeable with their craft. I highly recommend this lace to anyone who wants to sample local Paso Robles and international wines. Don’t take my word for it, come and visit soon.“
“Excellent wine, knowledgeable and charming staff, beautiful and creative space“
“Katie was awesome. The hostess with the mostess. 🍷 🍺 🥃“
“Sitting quietly on a cliff in Cayucos, gazing out over the vast Pacific Ocean, I sip a magnificent 2022 CLESI Sagrantino. Reflecting on the world, its rhythms, and entanglements—much of which remains enigmatically complex. Yet one thing is clear: Chris Ferrara is the finest winemaker, for he is, above all, a farmer. As the Italians say, “Chi semina raccoglie"—those who sow, reap.“
“Am a white wine drinker , but I loved all of the reds ! Am now a wine club member !“
“Came to Paso for a girls weekend and did a tasting at Nicora. The wine was excellent. Sarah was the host for our tasting and she was terrific. She was very knowledgeable and shared great stories about the winery. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants and other spots to visit during our stay. I’d highly recommend checking it out.“
“Aug Visit:
Stellar Winery STILL after being a member for several years now. No BS, just great wine from the bottle. The team is fantastic because the wine itself is not pretentious.
March Visit:
After visiting 12 wineries from Monterey to Paso last week, Caliza STILL stands out to be the BEST from the wine to the hospitality. The boutique rustic-style tasting room is tucked away at the end of the road beyond Booker Vineyard. Rarely do I ever enjoy every single wine from a tasting, but somehow Carl's wines have made purchasing just a single bottle or even a few bottles nearly impossible. Shout out to Tyler, Maury, and Mandy again for always making our visit memorable. We are glad and appreciative of Caliza following Covid precautions. Looking forward to next time!
Feb Visit:
QPR is absolutely on point! Hospitality is absolutely on point! Maury and Tyler were fantastic! Everyone working here is here because what they do is truly guiding the potential of the fruit. The wine speaks for itself. No overpriced wine! No fancy tasting room to curve your experience. Just honesty from both the employees and wine!“
“Beautiful wines 👍🏻❤️👍🏻 GWWG (great wine weekend getaway) gives this winery 4.5 stars“
“I discovered Seven Oxen at Garagiste Wine Festival, highly recommended by Doug, Co-Founder. The wines are incredibly well made, elegant, and balanced. Great people. This reminds me of the great discoveries in Paso 20 years ago.“
“I met with both owners; they were well-versed on their wine selections both white and red. I purchased several bottles including white and red. My favorite was Gemeny Vineyard Petite Syrah 2020: full body, low tannins. Rich nose and flavors.“
“Delicious wines. Awesome view“
“My wife and I did the Higher Place tasting experience and it was worth every penny. Very laid back. Very cool. I’m sure the giant operations are fun to see, but hopping in a family member’s pickup and riding up to the top of the vineyard to hear about the family history and the business journey while also learning about the grapes and tasting some really excellent wine was exactly the experience we were hoping for. We were there a full 2 hours, maybe longer, just hanging out and seeing the place. We chatted with the wine maker. We chatted with Cris the founder. Camille shows us all around their operation. This was really a cool experience. Bravo to the family for making it chill and cool and informative. We really felt like family guests.“
“Frank: Just opened 2018. Cork was questionable. I couldn’t believe how smooth with cherry notes. Loved it!!! Susie and I miss you Frank and Bob. We hope to be there at Thanksgiving. Miss coming over for the weekend, but too far from Idaho! Keep up the great wines!“
“I have to admit that we were disappointed that Bodegas Paso Robles was not in this location anymore. But what a pleasant surprise to find some excellent wines in Cendre. Their GSM is so good we bought a bottle for dinner.“
“We loved the wine, Kaitlin, and her adorable dog! I highly recommend this winery. We were in a hurry to leave because we had somewhere we needed to be. I left a bag behind. Kaitlin called us, but we were leaving the next morning. She shipped our bag to us promptly! What a kind gesture. Who does that anymore? KAITLIN. 💜💙❤️“
“We had a fabulous time last Saturday at the Pizza and Wine Pairing event. The food, the wine and the atmosphere was perfect. Annie and the Venteux staff did such an amazing job coordinating and arranging this event! We love all of the Venteux Vineyards events and the wonderful people that make it happen. Thank you Venteux Vineyards.“
“I used to own a winery, and I do not remember the last wine club I joined. But I had to join this one. Every wine is absolutely delicious. Vic and his wife are amazing hosts. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and Stella the dog is a fabulous ambassador. I am typically a white wine drinker during the summer, but the Zinfandel and the Malbec are perfect red summer sippers. Can't wait for the release of the reserves! Cannot recommend this winery enough.“
“My friends and I had an excellent time tasting Glenna's wines. All of her wines are very well made and delicious. She gave us a unique personal experience by sitting down with us and explaining the origins of each wine and how she makes them. Highly recommend!“
“We had the absolute best time at the blending lab! My wife and I brought my parents to a class where we learned all about the different elements of wine in a fun, casual setting. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and super patient with newbies to wine. What we loved most about our experience was how they equip you with fundamental knowledge to look/see/smell/taste wine in an analytical way that allows you to understand why you do or do not like a wine. Sourcing their wines from all nearby vineyards, they had some spectacular varietals to taste. Location was also super convenient to great restaurants nearby once we primed our palates!!“

“The Rhône LIVES in Tin City!
Always on the lookout for new grape friends & especially in Paso. The Levo folks have been on our radar for over a year & we FINALLY got the chance to do a proper sit-down midweek tasting last week. 100% across the board! Very chill & inviting location, thoroughly cool & approachable staff & EPIC wines! Don’t think I’ve signed up as a wine club member faster than with Levo & left with over a case of their goodies. Oh yeah, concrete “Egg” they use, straight outta the Terra Alta or Lyon!“
