The good or bad thing for me is that I live over 100 miles from here...so, I will have more reasons to vist family in Santa Maria just to make a stop here. So, what I got was the peanut butter cookie (best I've ever had with or w/o wheat). I also the super food latte w/beet root and raw cocoa...yum❣ Next time I'm adding and espresso shot to it. I’ve been wine tasting a TON of times and Vanessa is one of the best servers we have ever had. “A perfect ending to a perfect day in Santa Ynez valley. Great company, great conversation, stiff drinks (Substituted Mezcal for Tequila in our Margaritas) and stellar service. My brother and sister-in-law are strict vegetarians. When we realized their vegetarian tostada's came with Mexican rice cooked in chicken stock, our hostess Kaitlyn was personification of equanimity and professionalism. Without skipping a beat and with grace took away their plates and remade their orders . Remained attentive to our needs , no awkwardness. It is said that salsas make or break a Mexican restaurant. The salsas for me were too mild but Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff had stellar service, were very welcoming, and their spirit and warmth more than made up for the lack of fire in the salsas... Though my brother found the salsa fiery too. And the drive back as the sun set and drenched the Santa Rita hills in amber glow was a cherry on top of the already great mood thanks to. Kaitlyn and the staff at Dos Carlitos (and the stiff drinks). Thank you.“

“The wines are phenomenal, thus why my wife and became members a few years ago. This Gleason Family winery is also a very attractive and amazing facility. The grounds are beautiful, and the tasting room gets you right into the ranch vibe. The staff that work here are by far the reason we love to come. There is a lot of amazing wine in the valley but it is the people wine educators and the rest of the staff that make this place the one you want to come to. The staff here to include Dean, Janet, and a special shout out to our special Susan all make us feel like family. We try and make the drive up whenever we can to visit and see our friends here at Refugio Ranch. Thanks again to all of you for making this place a wonderful spot to spend our weekends. “Wine was surprising(in a great way). Challenging if you want it to be but so accessible at the same time. Very true to the grapes, pinots were smoky not ripe but keep the garnet fruit in play, sparkling was crisp with small bubbles and great finish without being simple, rosés were dry and decent minerality while still preserving the fruit and mouthfeel.

All around great experience. Crystal was helpful and knowledgeable having grown up in the industry with her father. She knows the region so well.

They have something for everyone. Brut rose, grenache rose, north slope pinot 2020 barrel select pinot, and radian pinot were the standouts.

Also they have snacks and theres a cheese shop next door that you can grab pairing from and they will even help you pair them if you ask reslly nicely ;).

Best way to try it all is to do one of each tasting.

For a valley already steeped in pinot exellence alma rose is a standout with the convenience of a property and a downtown tasting room that hasnt quite figured out that it could be charging way more so get in there now!“

“I think I just found the best tasting room in Los Olivos! Terre et Sang is my friends’ and family’s favorite winery in the SYV, and it’s now become mine too. Fantastic service, unforgettable wines, and such a warm experience offered here.

Each wine is exquisite. Do yourself a favor and try each at least once.

Theanna was our host and took such great care of us, dogs and baby included. The winemakers, Dalita and Duncan, were there during my visit and shared all about their process and backstory.

Then on to the service that we chose - a wine tasting and lunch (we had made reservations) We received pleasant and informative wine descriptions from our knowledgeable sommelier with each taste and the proper improvised wine-taste choice that he knowingly paired with my meal! Our meals, the roast salmon and a Cobb salad were perfection enhanced with their high standard of farm fresh vegetables. As we finished, feeling totally content and enjoying the ambiance of soaring ceilings of the timber frame tasting room with the massive fireplace warming our souls, we were visited by Matt, the owner. We had an engaging chat, with him entailing the history of the vineyard and its ongoing development of the vines, the farm and the buildings. Finally, we walked the beautiful estate grounds past the active vegetable gardens to the edge of the vineyards enjoying mountain scenery all around. A memorable experience with perfect food, wine, and caring people!

“Everything was great. We had the short rib, watermelon salad, green olives, and the soup of the day, which turned out to be cheeseburger soup. Surprisingly, it was really good. It even came with its own potato chips on top, which made it even more fun.

The food was fresh and well-balanced, and the service matched the quality. Nothing felt overdone or fussy, just solid flavors in a nice setting.

“We stopped here after going to Solvang Brewery because we wanted to bar hop but no are specifically trying other beers in the area. We were surprised to walk into a beer shop with a nice gentleman who could tell we looked lost but when I asked about the bar the said it was a membership bar but since it was our first time he let us in as visitors with a pass to what I now know is a speakeasy. Super cool entrance which explains unassuming the beer shop. We were welcomed and impressed by the beer selection on tap. The server was very knowledgeable and the patrons were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We struck up a few conversations about beer, about the locals and just general chit chat with good beer and good people. They also sell snacks and there's an outdoor patio and games to play, things to read, and just a very cool atmosphere overall. Nothing snooty or pretentious about this place. It's great to be in a comfortable setting with mature adults who just love beer! Highly recommend place to chill and slavtually conversate with fellow beer admirerers. We would definitely go back and if you're local a membership is worth it.“

This review is from a casual wine drinker.I just had their tasting that had about 6-7 wines and it was a solid set of offerings. “Excellent wine. We visited on Tuesday and Friday, and had both Sabrina and Noreen pour for us. Both made for a very informative, and enjoyable experience in a very relaxing setting. Just the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon.

Each of their Syrahs is quite excellent, and unique. They truly have some of the most fragrant noses I've ever experienced with wine. It's very apparent that they put a lot of individual attention into each of their bottlings.“

“This is the E11even tasting room, which is Andrew Murray's second label. While Andrew Murray Vineyards is delicious and has some standouts, we both prefer E11even, and as a bonus - they're more affordable. Becoming a member here also gets you the member perks at Andrew Murray as well. The sauv blanc, petit syrah, petit verdot, and cab franc are all standouts.

Alice usually runs the tasting room solo, and she's awesome. Loads of info and always up for a friendly chat. Well worth stopping by!“
