They are not a regular restaurant, so check the day you are going to see what's on the menu and if they are hosting a private event. “I was here 4/6 for the first time. I came here because I saw that people commented that they had gluten-free baked goods, and I am an instant fan. The good or bad thing for me is that I live over 100 miles from here...so, I will have more reasons to vist family in Santa Maria just to make a stop here. So, what I got was the peanut butter cookie (best I've ever had with or w/o wheat). I also the super food latte w/beet root and raw cocoa...yum❣ Next time I'm adding and espresso shot to it. Ibrought home two different slices of their bread too... that I shouldn't have but tried anyway... rye w/walnuts and hard sourdough. Both tasty good. 🤩🤗🥖☕🍪“

“During our trip to Santa Ynez, Refugio Ranch stood out as our favorite stop. Alex’s warm welcome and friendly service allowed us to sit back, relax, and enjoy.

The wines at Refugio ended up being our favorites of the entire trip. The world-class smash burger and lobster roll were welcomed additions to the experience as well. You must try the food if you go here on the weekend.

We went to Refugio 3 separate times during our stay! I cannot praise this establishment enough. Can’t wait to return on our next trip to the area.“

“A perfect ending to a perfect day in Santa Ynez valley. Great company, great conversation, stiff drinks (Substituted Mezcal for Tequila in our Margaritas) and stellar service. My brother and sister-in-law are strict vegetarians. When we realized their vegetarian tostada's came with Mexican rice cooked in chicken stock, our hostess Kaitlyn was personification of equanimity and professionalism. Without skipping a beat and with grace took away their plates and remade their orders . Remained attentive to our needs , no awkwardness. It is said that salsas make or break a Mexican restaurant. The salsas for me were too mild but Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff had stellar service, were very welcoming, and their spirit and warmth more than made up for the lack of fire in the salsas... Though my brother found the salsa fiery too. And the drive back as the sun set and drenched the Santa Rita hills in amber glow was a cherry on top of the already great mood thanks to. Kaitlyn and the staff at Dos Carlitos (and the stiff drinks). Thank you.“

Turns out they own Terre et Sang, they offered us some of their Syrah wine, it was so good. We told them we would drop by their tasting room. Great place, if you love Syrah, you have to visit. “First time for us at this restaurant. We ordered bruschetta pizza, it was quite a large size and very delicious. I ordered pasta with shrimp and mushrooms in a light tomato sauce which was very tasty and very good. My husband had A pasta dish with a variety of seafood. It was Valentine’s so the service was quite slow. For dessert I ordered a warm Apple strudel with vanilla ice cream., delicious! We are vacationing in this area and when we return we will definitely dine at this restaurant.“

“Like many fans of the movie Sideways, I was inspired to try the wines featured in the film. Alma Rosa, as any fan would know, is the former tasting room for Sanford. “I usually do not like to write reviews but this one is well worth a sip.I happened to walk into this charming little boutique wine store and tasting room on Grand Ave in Los Olivos. Mike, the owner was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the wines in the region as well as around the world. You could see he has a passion for this business.A good variety of wines to taste and purchase at respective prices. Definitely worth the walk in out of all the stores on the street.Then buy a bottle and eat at one of the restaurants that accept BYOB. A true spirit of small town USA in California.I will be back to fill my wine fridge for friends and family. A perfect break on my drive to Monterey.“

“This spot is in a lot with other wine tasting rooms and it’s a solid spot. This review is from a casual wine drinker.I just had their tasting that had about 6-7 wines and it was a solid set of offerings. The interior was very welcoming and the outside patio is a good spot to take a date. Overall the wines were very good and solid customer service from Matt.I’d definitely come back again to try their future wines.“

“2025.01.19 - Off the beaten path, but well worth the detour. A great place to catch a sunset as the outdoor seating has a great view of the ridge line on the other side of the Santa Ynez Valley. There is also a little pond with a deck over the water that a party seemed to be enjoying. The wines were good. We met a couple, professors at UCLA, that had ridden ebikes they rented in Solvang to Beckman and other vineyards in the area.“

“This is a smaller tasting room, but nicely laid back. Becca loves sharing what she knows about wine and learning about what works for YOU and why. Prolly would have gone home with a few bottles anyway but Becca made the experience even better. Plus they feature plenty of unusual varietals. Malvasia? Never even heard of it!“

“This is the E11even tasting room, which is Andrew Murray's second label. While Andrew Murray Vineyards is delicious and has some standouts, we both prefer E11even, and as a bonus - they're more affordable. Becoming a member here also gets you the member perks at Andrew Murray as well. The sauv blanc, petit syrah, petit verdot, and cab franc are all standouts.

Alice usually runs the tasting room solo, and she's awesome. Loads of info and always up for a friendly chat. Well worth stopping by!“

“We stopped here after going to Solvang Brewery because we wanted to bar hop but no are specifically trying other beers in the area. We were surprised to walk into a beer shop with a nice gentleman who could tell we looked lost but when I asked about the bar the said it was a membership bar but since it was our first time he let us in as visitors with a pass to what I now know is a speakeasy. Super cool entrance which explains unassuming the beer shop. We were welcomed and impressed by the beer selection on tap. The server was very knowledgeable and the patrons were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We struck up a few conversations about beer, about the locals and just general chit chat with good beer and good people. They also sell snacks and there's an outdoor patio and games to play, things to read, and just a very cool atmosphere overall. Nothing snooty or pretentious about this place. It's great to be in a comfortable setting with mature adults who just love beer! Highly recommend place to chill and slavtually conversate with fellow beer admirerers. We would definitely go back and if you're local a membership is worth it.“
