I'm sure it's a much better service when it's not a special occasion. But, their biggest event is the Christmas parade time. They should have still been prepared. “How do we even begin to express our LOVE for Sunshine and her Future Perfect wines? My partner and I happened in one afternoon while stopping in the area for lunch. As we entered the amazing shop we knew we had found our people. We were greeted with such warmth, but what really blew us away were the WINES! I'm embarrassed to admit we are wine snobs, so tasting the bubbles they were pouring was a shock. They were so delicious! We have basically become super-fans, and stop there every time we are in Los Olivos now. We can't stop talking about Sunshine and her crew. “The wines are phenomenal, thus why my wife and became members a few years ago. This Gleason Family winery is also a very attractive and amazing facility. The grounds are beautiful, and the tasting room gets you right into the ranch vibe. The staff that work here are by far the reason we love to come. There is a lot of amazing wine in the valley but it is the people wine educators and the rest of the staff that make this place the one you want to come to. The staff here to include Dean, Janet, and a special shout out to our special Susan all make us feel like family. We try and make the drive up whenever we can to visit and see our friends here at Refugio Ranch. Thanks again to all of you for making this place a wonderful spot to spend our weekends. They also have the private Ranch tasting at the vineyard for members which is a very special treat. If you are in the area please come in and visit!“

“We first found Beckman on my birthday in October ‘25! I became a member after my first tasting ! Love this wine !! We had my 3 y.o. nephew in tow so we’re pleasantly surprised by the beauty- the creeks, ponds and private gazebos - the grounds offer so much for groups of any size and a “must go see” for anyone looking for a peaceful oasis in the SYV. We brought a lunch from Bob’s Well Bread (yummm!!) and Tom served our wine with the most generous smile and education of their vineyard. He is really delightful! We returned again a few weeks ago, hundreds of sheep were maintaining the grounds and we had another perfect tasting experience -t.y.Tom ! Thank you Beckman Vineyards for a wonderful experience! We are so happy to be part of your family !“

“In the vast sea of tasting rooms Lefty's is an adorable little palate cleanser and the best coffee shop to trade your wine glass in for a coffee and snack.
It's a local gem that I selfishly I hope doesn't blow up but deserves to.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming, it's become its own little community.

During the week it's the perfect place to meet with friends to catch up, or sit outside in the backyard and dive into a nice book. The weekends are more lively and it's fun to meet various tourists escaping the craziness of town.

I default to the cafe latte and granola-the mix is fantastic.

Also the puzzle corner is adorable and despite my ability to effectively contribute it seems to make good progress but please help when you stop by.

“Tensley Tasting Room in Los Olivos was an excellent experience. The tasting server was very friendly, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the start. The wines were delicious with a great variety to try, and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable for a Sunday afternoon. It was also dog friendly, which made the visit even better.

We ended up buying a few bottles because we enjoyed the wines so much. One of the best parts of the experience was how unpretentious everything felt. Their attitude was basically, “this is our wine, we produce it locally, let the wine speak for itself,” without trying to oversell anything or give a bunch of unnecessary hype. “If you are visiting Solvang CA, it is worth the short drive to visit this tasting room. We were delighted by our wine steward Izzy, who really took time to answer all of our questions. Her knowledge on the subject was very impressive. We especially enjoyed their Syrahs. We visited in late October and the weather was beautiful.“

“We stopped here after going to Solvang Brewery because we wanted to bar hop but no are specifically trying other beers in the area. We were surprised to walk into a beer shop with a nice gentleman who could tell we looked lost but when I asked about the bar the said it was a membership bar but since it was our first time he let us in as visitors with a pass to what I now know is a speakeasy. Super cool entrance which explains unassuming the beer shop. We were welcomed and impressed by the beer selection on tap. The server was very knowledgeable and the patrons were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We struck up a few conversations about beer, about the locals and just general chit chat with good beer and good people. They also sell snacks and there's an outdoor patio and games to play, things to read, and just a very cool atmosphere overall. Nothing snooty or pretentious about this place. It's great to be in a comfortable setting with mature adults who just love beer! Highly recommend place to chill and slavtually conversate with fellow beer admirerers. We would definitely go back and if you're local a membership is worth it.“
