“Popped in for lunch to check out the newly opened H&T and loved it. The brisket was delicious with a side of Vaquero beans that packed plenty of flavor as well. I could see the bar is well stocked with a great selection of spirits as well as a bunch of quality local beers on tap. Points as well for having a quality N/A offering. I received fast and very friendly service. Looking fwd to visiting again soon and wish this new business the best of luck as it was obvious that plenty of heart & soul is invested at heads & tails.“

“Tikka masala: spicy but good, great portions of tender lamb (I like spice but needed more rice).
Service was quick and friendly--a godsend as I was starving at 11pm. They serve food late.
Cocktails not my fave but good. You can't beat this place for late night food and drink, however. If I was still in college, I'd come here.
Great dim interior, cozy to hang out in. Noticeably young crowd, though.
I miss the old location but the new one ain't bad.“

“What a great place, especially for families! The staff is friendly, attentive and bilingual should you be more comfortable speaking Spanish! Everyone at our table enjoyed their delicious breakfast of perfectly cooked pancakes, eggs, bacon etc! I know it sounds like a lot but order a biscuit for everyone to try at least a bite!!
Kid-friendliness: They’ll love the bear theme!“

“Had an absolutely amazing time at tipsea last week. Great neighbourhood bar with lots of cool regulars. And the service was phenomenal, Felix and Monica really took care of us and made us feel special. The drinks were complex and delicious, plus $1 oysters! Highly recommend checking it out if you're in town“

“Recently hosted my partner's 30th birthday here. From beginning to end, Jennifer was extremely accommodating. She worked with me to figure out which of her several party packages would work best for me -- she truly offers something for every price range! Once we hammered out the basic details, Jennifer made sure to capture the smaller ones too. For example, the party I hosted was a surprise party. She asked me to share a photo of the guest of honor, to ensure that none of the staff accidentally ruined the surprise when we walked in. The music, drinks, staff, and atmosphere were all great. Loved the back patio as some extra space to grab some air. Since we came during the holiday season, the bar was beautifully decorated with ornaments and lights, which made everything feel so fun and festive. Overall, can't rate this place highly enough. Thank you, Jennifer and Acme staff!“

“Ordered the cheeseteak and alfredo pasta. The entrees alone were already a 5/5 with the taste and presentation.
Then dessert.
I wanted to try the vanilla bean bar, but they had replaced it with caramel bar and ice cream.
Disappointing but I do like caramel too.
I bit into it, died, and ascended.
That dessert was a 10/5.“

“My dad used to drink there in the 1980s and the Asian husband and wife couple who owned the bar bought him a last drink and told him never to come backThe bar was closed for about 10 or 20 years in the 1990s and the 2000sMy favorite part of the bar is spinning the wheel and trying my luck at free drinks cuz half the time it's a l**** deal but half the time it's a winner deal it's a nice bar most people are really coolFor a while they had a 8-bit Nintendo system and I'd play Castlevania and Super Mario Bros over and over again but they do have some arcade games and pinball games really nice“
“Tap Hause at UC Berkeley is always my spot for sure! Drinks are top-notch and won’t break the bank. The bartenders, whether students or not, are all about great service. Absolutely love the abundance of pool tables and the vibe is always spot on. Perfect spot for a chill night out. Highly recommend!“

“True Mexican food and a lovely family business. Our waitress was Lynda or Linda I think and she was amazing and so attentive to our needs. Such a sweet lady and we even got a tour and met one of the family at the end of our meal. Went with a couple of friends for lunch after a conference nearby and would love to come back if ever in the area. Been meaning to do a review for this place since visiting in May and just reminded by finding the sticker! Thanks again guys.“
“I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This is such a good venue, and will always have a special spot in my heart because I saw my first live show in it. It was actually closed for the longest time, closing in 2001 and returning in 2016 thanks to the Berkeley Music Group, a nonprofit organization who also runs intetnship programs. Just for that alone, I think you should come here. The only thing i dislike about the venue is the seating can be a little uncomfortable, and it's definitely limited. It's available based on first-come basis, though I think you can reserve the first row on some shows; can't imagine that's cheap. So unless you're lucky or super early, be ready to stand up. The food and drinks are also expensive, as expected of most live venues. Those things aside, the shows themselves are extremely enjoyable, and the staff running them are friendly as heck. Highly recommended!“

“Three. One Four Pizzeria is a gem. Their happy hour deals are unbeatable, and the hospitality is second to none. The pizza is outstanding, with the table-side cacio e pepe—prepared in a wheel of pecorino romano—being an absolute must-try. For an added layer of intrigue, ask Owner Brandon Wilson about the riddle behind the restaurant’s name. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish.“

“I've been a regular at this bar, as well as at East Bay Spice Company. I was quite disheartened to see a negative review from Shay that criticized the bartender, who I believe did nothing wrong.
To provide some context, I’m a Black male who was having a great time with a friend, and I was using the N-word quite loudly throughout the night. The bartender asked me to tone it down, but I didn't. Later, when a young lady asked where is the restroom, he jokingly asked "do you know the password." Whether that was the most appropriate joke is debatable. However, I recognize that my loud use of the word may have contributed to the misunderstanding.
I've known this bartender for over two years, since my junior year in college, and I specifically go to the bar on the days he works. I want to apologize for any misunderstanding or discomfort caused to the young lady. And hopefully clarify what happened.“
