So much attention to detail and flavor in the dough and sauce PLUS they freshly grate Parmesan on your slice after reheating it. Way more than I was expecting and reasonably priced! I liked both the mushroom-leek slice and pepperoni-onion!“

“Pizza Twist is absolutely fantastic! I have a strict gluten allergy, and Mani (the owner) went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and made me feel safe and confident about enjoying my meal. The gluten-free pizza was delicious, fresh, and flavorful—honestly one of the best I’ve had. It’s rare to find a place that truly cares about dietary restrictions while still delivering amazing taste. I can’t recommend Pizza Twist enough, both for the food and the outstanding customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“As a former New Yorker/Jersey Girl living in the Bay Area, I miss authentic NYC pizza. Chef Laura has created something very special here. The Marg with vegan pepperoni is like no other pizza I've tasted in my 10 years in California. The sauce! The cheese! The vegan pepperoni! The combination of these ingredients makes this pizza sing. The crust was lovely too. If I were to grumble about one thing, it would be the cost. The pizza, delivery, and tip ran $50. But honestly, I'd pay the same thing again (and likely will) for this delicious wonder, because the ingredients were quality and it was scrumptious. I am especially inclined to support Pizzeria da Laura because it is a fabulous woman-owned business. Grazi!“

An amazing dining experience and the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had full stop - Priceless!

My second time here and much more of an intimate experience because I was by myself killing some time before I met friends at the Freight and Salvage.

My pizza was cooked perfectly - just the way I like it with some of the edges of the nickel sized pepperoni's a bit charged and bursting with flavor. The sauce, obviously an old family recipe had been cooking for hours and had a deep rich flavor. And the crust- ohh the crust held up well to the tomato sauce and had a chewy and crisp texture.

The kind young lady who was serving me was confident I could finish the Tiramisu no matter how full I was. She was right.

Matt says if you find yourself headed to downtown Berkeley either for a Cal event or to the Freight and Salvage, be sure to make reservations in advance and feast on some of the best pizza in the Bay Area. It's a small space and fills up fast

Their pastries are also exquisite, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like, but I ALWAYS come for the Fougasse! Best to get there early when they are nice and fresh and warm and before they sell out!“

“I'd say the pizza is pretty darn good. And the service was excellent also. I had a plain cheese pizza then style done extra well done. My friend had a barbecue chicken. Both were outstanding. Service was also top-notch. Dining room is clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are also clean. Convenient free parking on a Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. All around a positive dining experience. Also note, although not this particular Zachary's, but the Oakland Zachary's provided pizza for a recent work event. Pizza was fantastic. Everyone loved it.“

“I realized that over the years I had accumulated over 7,000 points and decided to see what I got get and to my surprise I was eligible for a large spealty pizza of my choice for 4,500 points and I got a couple of ice cream deserts too for 1,000 points each however when I tried to put the order through a little pop up sign comes up and says I need to spend at least $14 or $15 to have my order go through. This got me upset because why have all these points for if you are going to charge me anyways so instead I wrote out some feedback and left the site. To my surprise a staff memeber called me back and made things right all I did was pay for the delivey service at $7.50 which was totally understandable and I got all the stuff I wanted. Cheers to the manager and the staff who took care and made me feel like I was important so now even more so I will continue to be a regular customer and of course their pizza is great! “Me and my wife were passing just riding down when she mentioned she saw that it had a lunch buffet special, so we decided to go in, and it was great they had pizza and salad. It was great for the price. When you get there, you can order whatever kind of pizza you want any combination, and they will do it fresh, and they will put it out for everyone to enjoy. “I LOVE this pizza. Knuckle head flavor is my favorite (sausage, red onion, mushrooms). A lot of meat eaters and vegetarians love and prefer their Margherita. It's a thin pizza, similar to New York, I hear. Love their crust. Quality ingredients. Eat it fast as it cools down quickly. Careful with the first slice as the crust is very thin and the toppings can slide off. I love that we can enjoy beverages at Fieldwork and enjoy Citizen Pizza at the tables. I prefer their knucklehead, but my partner prefers Margherita. So, what to do? No worries! Depending on which you pick, you can get these two flavors, one flavor on each half of the pizza - half and half. They'll just charge you for the pricier costing one.

“Food was very good, good service too. Really good location and it reminds me of a 1940s diner. Pretty good menus and selection of food. \nBut unfortunately this is probably my last visit. Which is really too bad as I really like the place and would recommend it to everyone. But, as I was leaving I noticed a sign in the widow I hadn’t seen when entering. Stating that law enforcement was not allowed if they don’t have a warrant. Well I support law enforcement and if they aren’t allowed to dine here then I won’t be back either. Too bad, I really like this restaurant.“

Highly suggest for a quick slice or a late night. They make everything fresh in house. The chef takes a lot of pride in his work, I was able to chat with him during a sample give away day. Everything is made from scratch. They bread their chicken in house. Really delicious, and prideful food.
