“Great Mexican spot in downtown Glen Park! Have loved the chicken enchiladas and carne asada or carnitas nachos. Very generous portion sizes - normally my husband isn’t willing to split food but he’ll agree to split one entree here, plenty for two people!“

“We managed to get in without too much of a wait, but you may sometimes find there is one with how popular a place it is. Food was DELICIOUS and made so quickly! I've never been a big breakfast person, but this cooking definitely has landed a favorite breakfast spot for me.Parking: It's on an active street and seems to be all paid parking.“

“Some say that Californios in San Francisco, California is a trendy, cozy, and romantic restaurant. The restaurant has dark walls, colorful art, and a lively playlist. Some say the patio area is especially pleasant.Eater SFSome say the most popular dishes at Californios are foie gras, wagyu, and tostada filled with guajillo chileatole and topped with Hokkaido sea urchin. Some say some plates are experimental and others are refined and perfect.“

“This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in the entire SF Bay Area. And I would say it comes super close to being San Diego level. The waffle fries are amazing. Super good portion sizes. The breakfast burritos are super filling too and they put waffle fries in them which is a super nice touch.I love their orange sauce too.“

“Arrived by car 30 minutes before closing. We had a parking spot right in front of the taco truck on the street. I found this place searching Google seafood restaurants near me! It was to my surprise that it was a taco truck! No worries, we ordered the tacos dorados. They come in a plate of four for $14. They had avocado and the best tasting shrimp combined with the crunch of the taco shell! So good. Came with red salsa that turned up the heat. The tacos were like the kind of food that you keep eating even though you are full!! I felt great after four, but honestly could have had another four! There are plastic chairs to sit down, but it's way better to take the food to go. I'm glad Google suggested this place, perhaps it was the best seafood near me!“

“Amazing food- I got the burrito and it was beyond this world - so fresh and the pork was fantastic. The owner Javier was very friendly and passionate about good food. He brings some of his ingredients directly from the Yucatán, which further enhances its quality! If you’ve been there and miss the food, absolutely come here. I wish them all the best!“

“Here is my review of the San Jalisco Mexican Restaurant. San Jalisco has the ingredients of success. Most definitely the food is authentic, freshly made, and plentiful. Our service was outstanding and friendly. The location is perfectly away from the chaos of Mission Street. San Jalisco is a great date night restaurant.Parking: The SFMTA has restricted parking with it's slow streets campaignWheelchair accessibility: The entrance and tables look ADA compliant“

“Amazing restaurant! The food is outstanding and the amount of care they put into everything (including the service) is so clear and rare these days. The lamb chops are fantastic. Definitely get a few small plates to try as well. Our server was so lovely. He gave us a ton of information on both the food and wines. I got to sample a few wines before deciding and they were excellent. I love that they offer half glasses, makes it easier to try a variety. Go here and tell your friends about this neighborhood gem too! ♥️“

“Nice fun place by West Portal. I sat and was brought hips and a really good salsa roja, the salsa was medium hot and had a great flavor. There was not an empty space to fill on this colorful space. I ordered the Chile Verde plate, a mouthwatering plate that came with small chunks of pork, slow cook in green chiles, garlic, cumin and tomatillo, it was a accompanied by a crisp chopped iceberg lettuce salad next to delectable order of refried beans and fluffy Spanish Rice, (Arroz Rojo) that paired perfectly with the green sauce. The flavors of this homemade meal reminded me of the original Mexican recipes that I used to eat at Los Angeles.“

“The service and food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is like a beautiful authentic Mexican Restaurant. I usually get a small order of tacos, and they even put the max effort into a small order like mine. The people serving are extremely kind, and they even have cool small Mexican paintings on a pillar. Great experience overall!! Five stars easily, if I could give more stars, I would!“

“Service, GREAT The location itself, super cute Food, even better! We tried to go again a few weeks ago but they were closed, we will be back but we're from east bay. It's a hop skip and a jump for us, but genuinely worth it. Wish they were open Sundays but totally understand why they aren't. The goal is to try everything on the menu!“

“tldr; quiet, easily accessible street shop with excellent QuesabirriasDecided to visit this place on an overcast / rainy Saturday morning on the strength of some reviews by some colleagues.Parking was generally straightforward which is a nice change for a weekend in San Francisco. The decor is plain but the area is generally clean and welcoming, although seating is somewhat limited (roughly 5-7 tables). Food is self service, and I think most customers were generally coming in for takeout.Since it's self serve, service is not spectacular but I did see what I assume is the owner going around to welcome some customers.I ordered the Quesabirria for dine-in and some Chorizo tortas, but only had room for the Quesabirrias so I took home the Tortas. The Quesabirrias are excellent! Crispy and nicely balanced with cheese. Meat is fresh. It came with some spicy chilli which is pretty strong along with a light soup that was mildly spicy but delicious!Overall I'll probably be coming back here to order more in the future.“

“Piling onto the positive reviews! Manita's coffee is great, service is always great. I've enjoyed both the Mole and regular "Hella Spicy" Chilaquiles (which I didn't find too spicy, but just right the right balance of zip and flavor!) and they're the best I've had in years! Friends have all enjoyed their food as well.“

“As a Londoner, I don’t often get good Mexican food on a regular basis, so I might not be the best person to judge Mexican food. But the shrimp taco (Taco tropical) is honestly the best taco I’ve ever had! It was bursting with flavour, soft melting shrimp and the jicama tortilla added such a twist on the flavour. Every dish really impressed me with a really refreshing cocktail on the side.Really cool vibe in the restaurant and definitely worth trying out“

“Great food especially the chicken fajitas. Their tortillas are homemade. The atmosphere inside is nice. Very diverse in age and culture. They get you in and out at lunchtime. The only complaint I have is that the parking if very minimal and tough to find a spot. We had to leave once and find somewhere else to eat because we were on lunch and the clock was ticking. Otherwise I recommend this spot gor some good food.“

“We found this Mexican restaurant while we visited Golden Gate Park and walked to there following google map. Their complimentary chips are freshly cooked, we especially liked the pairing red sauce salsa. It's delicious. I liked the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. The carne asada is seasoned well and grilled tender. The al pastor taco is paired with mango and has a little bit of sweet taste. The portion is generous and the price is affordable. The owner is warm and friendly. It's a great restaurant worth trying.“

“Today's lunch: Mexican bowl with carnitas as the choice of meat. It's the super burrito filling served over romaine lettuce - for when I want to skip the tortilla wrapper. Nothing wrong with the tortillas, just nice to have a variation sometimes. If I want something smaller, than a regular burrito, I'll go with a super taco. The staff are super friendly and the shop is well-maintained. You can eat in, there are a number of tables and chairs and even a working TV. I visited before the lunch rush and almost had the place to myself. But I've been here when I've had to wait in line to place an order and then wait for the order - they do get slammed. Haven't tried any of the deli sandwiches or breakfast items... yet!“

“Really happy we discovered the North Beach Cantina on a very competitive block. Their taco Tuesday is one of the better deals we've found. We each got 3 vegetarian tacos for $7. She loved hers, and the impossible chorizo I had was better than expected. This place has good music and vibes and the staff is awesome. There will be many taco Tuesdays for us I expect.Vegetarian options: Good place for vege tacos.“

“Good steak taco salad here. It is the type of taqueria where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There's a little dining area in the back. The dining room is surprising clean. It looks like they just remodeled or opened recently. Although there were four people ahead of me, the line moved fast and my food came out quick. I really liked the taste of the steak taco salad. It had a good balance of avocado, cheese, lettuce, rice, steak, sour cream, tomatoes all on a nice, fresh taco shell. Delicious!. Service was friendly.“

“Went to this random local mexican place to get some Tacos after landing in SFO. Ordered the Prawn Taco, Chicken Taco & Grill Fish Taco from their menu along with some fries. The place is really small, so you might not get a table, but I was lucky to find one as I went there slightly earlier than the lunch rush hour. They served Chips n Guac complimentary and pointed me to the Salsa station, which was fantastic. They offered about 6-7 different types of Salsas (varying heat level) along with pickled onions & pico de gallo. All the Salsas were great, and I could pick my favorite ones in whatever quantities. The Tacos arrived quickly and were AMAZING. The ingredients were fresh and so flavorful. Prawn & Grill fish taco were my favorites. The server did forget to get me water, so I had to ask twice, but overall was fine. The lunch hour hit, and there was a lineup at this place, so you know they are good!“

“We had the Menudo and it did need some more chillis to add more flavor to the food. It is very good other wise , good size portion. They serve with hand made tortillas and plenty of sides. The salsa does have some kick. Overall very good. Only complaint it was cold and rainy day a day they left a back door open that created a cold draft throughout. Had to wear my coat inside.“

“Call me a burrito connoisseur, but I believe I've been to every taqueria in the mission district to see who had the best burrito. I believe I found it. The place looked clean. You can see when they prepare the food. Everyone wore gloves and was visibly clean. The salsa had just the right amount of veggies and spices and was a perfect mild flavor. Even though I only ordered a regular burrito, it was packed with carne asada. No skimping here, that's for sure. This is the place to stop by for a burrito if your craving burritoes... OLè!!! THANK YOU Taqueria, El Buen Sabor, for being so Burritolicious!!“

“I saw the sign on the sidewalk and decided to try for lunch. I got the Cenote with chicken, which is basically the John Holmes of burritos. As a hetero, I felt slightly awkward yet still managed to enjoy (hmmmm…) Seriously, it was delicious and packed with plenty of chicken. Some parts of the burrito were randomly cold, which I think was caused by the rice not being hot. You should fix that. Also, there is waaaay too much lemon in the water. Like unsweetened lemonade. It was undrinkable. Maybe give folks the option to have lemons or not.The chips and salsa were pretty good, with two salsa options included. But they didn’t give enough of either to finish the chips. If they fix the water I’d gladly eat there again. Or maybe they have bottled water? Just thought of that… duh.“

“Loved the great food here. It's definitely more authentic than most Mexican restaurants in the area--not a sign of Tex-Mex cuisine anywhere on the menu.Corn tortillas are made by hand, sauces are varied and tasty. We were hungry so no pausing to take pictures. “I just want to thank Santeria for having the best Latin food at the Castro!! I usually come in for their new Ensenada Fresca and I get some Mexican wings I shred up the chicken onto my salad then add me some pepper and ranch tossed on top. It’s my new year’s addiction besides that it’s helpful to my diet. Which I feel super fabulous and transformed once accomplished the magic works! If you’re visiting come highlight your afternoon/evening here. Drinks are also 5 star drinks out of the whole Castro. I go into a lot of places in Castro. However this is an amazing hanging out spot. Cheers to Freddy the man in charge/ Team and owners Lalo and Eva! Thank you for the amazing art and idea of a neat restaurant.“

“This is by far one of the best taco trucks in the area. I have been coming back here for about two years, and I'm finally writing a review. I have tried everything on their menu and only one item I don't like, but it's my personal opinion. Their seasoning it's always on point. In two years, the food is always great. You get a good amount of meat per taco compared to every other truck in the area. Also their price is much lower than the competition. I have tried every single taco truck in the mission district, and this one is by far the best.“

“I'm a loyal customer of the Zumix juice truck on El Camino and by random chance I decided to walk over to Jovanni's taco truck (parked right next to each other). I started off light with the first visit and ordered a plain carne asada taco with no salsa or fixings. I personally always want to see if an establishment has good meat and a tortilla for a foundation. My next visit I ventured to the Carne Asada Super Taco and I fell in love. The flavors from the salsa and meat are perfectly balanced, the perfectly grilled tortilla has a bit of a nice char to it and lastly the cheese melt on the tortilla isn't overwhelming. I also enjoy the fresh cucumbers they serve with it and the grilled onions on the side. I come here 1-2 times a week now it's just absolutely worth your time to stop and grab a bite.“

“Despite a slight discrepancy in pricing compared to the menu, the quality and flavor of the food more than made up for it. We ordered two super burritos, which totaled around $26 instead of the expected $18.50 according to the menu. The burritos were generously filled with flavorful ingredients, including rice, beans, fresh tomato, onion, cilantro, and salsa. We opted for the lengua (beef tongue) and triipas (intestine), and both were cooked to perfection, tender and savory. The portion sizes were ample, ensuring we left feeling satisfied. One thing to note is that El Farolito only accepts cash, so be sure to come prepared.“
